Driven both, the Seat drives like a van, the Smax on the other hand drives like a well sorted hatchback
I own 2 SMaxs, one has covered 205000 miles and little has needed replacing, just routine servicing. The Seat, or VW as it really is should not be up against the SMax as it’s competition is the Galaxy. The SMax is genuinely unique, a Swiss Army knife of a car, handles like a well sorted hatchback on a B road (like to see the seat/vw keep up with it lol) and becomes a van with the seats dropped. Can transport a large family in comfort across a continent whenever you need it too (15000 miles doing this in SMaxs). They also look gorgeous, unlike the VW van, sorry Seat Van MPV thing

Wrong comparison to begin with as It should be the Galaxy against Alhambra. Anyway the S-max is the better car in terms of ergonomics and road performance.
