Since there is such an emphasis on how you interact with the environment, I wish there was a little more detail in the animations of those interactions. Like when you collect an herb, you grab it and cut the stem, or actually reach out and touch something. Instead you just see a blue hand and wave in the air and the plant vanishes. For me, those types of subtle details are what make games feel truly immersive.

hes talking about the lesser important plants where you literally swipe your hand to the right and grab them or just reach out and grab them such as 2:39. he would like the amount of detail such as red dead redemption 2 where basically any interaction always has a little animation scene play out where you rip the plant out and takes its leaves or roots and opening crates and boxed of sorts has your character actually reach out and grab the items in different locations@@alexmark6580

I just wish you could choose your own ikran or maybe after your flight you get to choose colour and stuff other than that it’s looks stunning
Jake didn't get to pick what color ikran he wanted in the movie. Lower your expectations to a more reasonable level.
Yes I understand that but it’s a game and I would just like that choice like I said it looks stunning and there’s loads of customisation even with the banshees anyway would just like the option plus I haven’t seen if it’s random colours or if it’s the only colour you get if it’s random then that’s cool it’s like your own but if everyone only has the option of that one that’s a shame that’s all I’m saying
I think you do get Ikran colors later because unless I’m misremembering the deluxe edition or something comes with an ikran skin???

Edit- Putting aside what I hope was an obvious joke (Something I'd like possible tho.) Even if we aren't able to color our Ikran it would be crazy of the dev's to include multiple colors and not give us the option to re-tame. Iirc in the movie it was that one Ikran will stay with someone their entire life. But it would be pretty easy as a original game with a character that has a backstory of being held captive away from the Na'vi to have some special means to tame another. If the devs wanted that to happen.
they should definitely give this game a 3rd person option
Watching the first movie I remember wishing I could experience a world like this! Being able to connect to all the animals and have them as companions was an amazing thought. I will definitely be playing this game over and over! I just wonder if everything is customizeable. Such as Ikran colors, etc I know it takes away from the “it chooses you”
I like the idea that the ikran is randomised and maybe we can reload for a different one if we wanna choose.. or we can play more along with the story and get a random color. It means playing with friends, we won’t all have the same color… and also just aesthetically pleasing option ;)

yeah i like to have customization in games so that would be cool. Making a name for it myself would be immersive as well.
The creators of the game said that the character you play as is customizable and can be a male as well and your Ikran is customizable as well. With the ultimate pack having a skin for the Ikran and you can decorate them with armor and other things to make them more personalized.

It's definitely a beautiful game.
I like that you have to find things on your own and not forced to follow a programmed format.
It's literally 20 minutes of nothing, just walking interrupted by jumps, cutscenes and horrible animations and HUD. What's wrong with people lately, they see shit and call it good

I absolutely fell in love with the first movie in December of 2009 watching it in 3D at the theater. Afterwards for a few years i wished and wished for a video game putting you in the world of pandora almost 15 years later we finally get that

@HiKarmenik James Cameron's: avatar the game. It released right along with the movie in 2009 but was a plot driven game where you essentially played through the movie. What I've always truly wanted was frontiers of pandora

There was one, I have it - but it was quite disappointing.
Since seeing the first movie in theaters I've been absolutely mesmerized by the nature on Pandora and the music choices.
I don't have any opinions regarding gameplay from this rather short first impression, but I gotta say the game looks stunning so far. My favourite scenes by far have always been seeing the bioluminescent plants in the forest forest at night, so I really hope they use it and include plenty of that in the game.

The way the character interacts with the environment as you move through is beautiful. it looks so natural
Your voice is damn calm to listen to man. That aside as a huge fan of both Avatar film and Far Cry games im amazed at how great this game looks and the music is incredible. Looking forward to playing it.
i’m so excited for this game. it looks gorgeous and i’m a big fan of the avatar movies. always wanted to live in that world and this game looks like a good iteration of that.
I don’t like how calm the ikran is before you connect with it. It should be freaking out and wild until the connection is made like in the movie

avatars are supposed to be connected to the animal while riding. The avatar tail is not doing that :( hope they fix this detail.

The music is glorious, like the movies. I love how it swells the closer you get to your goal. And then the choir kicks in to really show you that your goal is almost in sight.
The soundtrack alone is worth the purchase.
First time that movie based world in game format has reason to exist and the quality and locations are emotionally moving because the sequel made the story way more such that it requires more. I even live in a place where there is slight similarity in the nature like on this video on certain moment. Feels like kind of a jungle version of Lapland in summer. Except the first Avatar game back in 2010 or so that i could not use because my laptop was too old for that shit and later computer did not have DVD player and i did not felt that any other game was worth to spend time. Except Pacman that still is the legendary Retro game. Pokemon Go was interesting only for AR. VR gaming is interesting just for the VR and if i would get Titanic VR game and computer that is compatible with it then i would be interested to invest time to play for hours.
This has been my game of the year, absolutely beautiful work.

It looks so good, and the fact that it's the PlayStation 5 graphics makes me so happy. I heard PC graphics are probably going to be a little better. It might be edited in, but the music alongside walking around seeing everything in my opinion is amazing.
Pc graphics are always going to be better than console. Consoles have a fraction of the power of a good pc
Pc is equiped with much much more powerful hardware than a ps5 so it's obvious not just little bit mostly textures and stuff are of higher quality on pc
PC is only good when you build it right, it’s also much more expensive.

Are the Ikran colors customizable ? I only see the red and green one everywhere. ( maybe like the main character they didn’t allow testers to customize the mount yet ) you have any information about that ?

I like everything about it I like how they decided to make a game of it now I which state did a customization character so you can change the color scheme your facial expression or anything you want except for the color on the Nabi
Sounds trivial but can you change which hand you hold the bow with? Little things like that annoy me, like in 3rd person games when the cameras over the left shoulder.
I hope they make the water clan a thing and someone could be able to tame some of the water creatures.

The fact that is locked in 1st person (except in some parts i guess) killed it for me :C it looks really good tho, wish i could play it without feeling like throwing up every 5 seconds....even watching this video is disorienting xD

I'm pretty sure you could see a lot of wildlife in the trailers. I don't know why you see so little of it in this demo. I partly agree about soulless, but I think more wildlife would help make it look a little less soulless? Maybe they partially modified it just for the demo to make it run a bit smoother. But again in the trailers you saw plenty of life around you. We'll see it in the final product.
That is a very graphically intensive game, very pretty.

The details that bothers me here, is the lack of head bob during falls, i guess s little bit of body movement to simulate the impact absorbing would be perfection.. That, and @15:25 your friends voice doesn't sound like he's distant when you were clearly pretty far away from him

I kinda wish it was more like Ark with the taming capabilities and stuff and creatures.
I think the way the avatar sense is displayed takes me out of it just a little bit, but either way i'm excited to explore pandora!

I love absolutely everything about this game....except the forced 1st person. I am not a fan of 1st person and since you can't flip between modes, it's the only thing keeping me back.
I'm hoping forced first person is not actually a thing. It won't keep me from playing but I like the way progression feels when I see my equipment change. 1st person is used for immersion generally. But I really don't need it to find myself wandering around through the characters eyes :')

About the Ikran names, I know the left column is Na’vi and right column is human names. I know Nimun means “again”. I tried searching the other names on learn Na’vi and got nothing.
Any idea what they mean?
