your video is the only in youtube that focuses directly into the ACTH, I'm so thankful you did it cuz my test is based specifically in this hormone and I couldn't find anything :/ thank you ^^

I have CKD stage 3b, which has shown consistency in the six week renal function tests. Lately I’ve been feeling “ strange “ and constantly cold. New blood tests showed my ACTH level to be < 5, and my PTH level is at 94.6. Would my kidneys be causing this or is it more of a pituitary/adrenal problem? I’m being referred to an endocrinologist at a university , but it’s not for another 5 months.

Does ACTH also facilitates the release of androgens from the cortex?

Check for tumors on the adrenals. If it's low cortisol it's from the pituitary gland(secondary adrenal insufficiency). If it's high cortisol it's coming the the adrenals(primary adrenal insufficiency/Cushing's disease). My ACTH was 6700 when I had 9 tumors on my adrenals.

In the video, it is said that cortisol stimulates the conversion of fat into glucose. However, it does not happen in animals. There is no way to convert fat into glucose in animals. Even that I put enjoy this video. I hope a new version of this video correct this mistake
