I bought the 44 for my Mom lol, she’s in her early 70’s and wanted something she would feel comfortable using in an emergency. Now that she’s mastered shooting it she loves it. It’s really funny to watch my Mom shooting pretty proficiently at the range. Great first gun.

Slide cover for the G44 is thinner than the G19, making it hard to put a G19 cover into a G44. It'll go in there, but with a lot of force necessary, making it hard to remove afterwards!

I believe the Glock 44 is probably the most innovative thing Glock has done in years! That said Glock needs to lower the price on the gun, threaded barrel, and the low capacity 10 round magazines! I wouldn’t mind spending $30 for a 15 round mag. I was pissed having to pay that much for a 10 rounder. Over all this gun and accessories are just too expensive. I bought mine to shoot GSSF Matches in the rimfire division. In that role mine has performed well. I broke it in with 300 rounds of mini mags straight from the box . No lube, no cleaning, only a quick take down and inspection before firing. I do this with all my new guns to find wear marks. If you lube first it takes longer for the marks to show up. I had absolutely zero issues with my 44 during the break in period. Prior to delivery of my gun I watched every CZcams video I could find and avoided the mistakes early adopters made. First they used the crappiest ammo they could find. Second they did not load the magazines properly as the mags are ridiculously finicky. Third most did not take the time to adjust the sights for windage or elevation. Mine shot high and left as most of the videos attest. After sight adjustment I was shooting at point of aim @ 15 yrds. I tested my 44 with various ammunition but settled on the cheapest most reliable that I could find that was available locally the first is Federal bulk 500 rounds, 36 gr. Copper Plated Hollow Point the Second Winchester bulk 555 rounds, 36gr. CPHP. Both are available at Walmart. After 4000 rounds I have stopped counting. The gun is not perfect during the first 4K shooting cheap bulk I have experienced a few stove pipes, FF, FE, light primer strikes Etc. As far as reliablity it is as good a my 2 PPQ 22’s, Ruger Sr22, Beretta 92M2-22, Walther P22 5” Target. When shooting matches I will only use CCI Standard or Mini-Mags. So far no issues with CCI

The firing pin spacer sleeve item # 6130 that you show, will not fit into the striker channel of the G44. Please don't mislead people. The item you show # 6130 fits all 9mm, and maybe other calibers but not the G44 .22lr.

  • @sheepdogalphomagadeltapatr4604

First, I’ve wondered when Glock would come out with their .22LR pistol. I’m glad they did it on the G19 platform. I have .22LR versions of other fuller size pistols that help for putting LiveFire into “DryFire” practice. When the G44 was in the pre-order phase from gun stores, I did mine through GlockStore. Second, like this review. Third, one thing I’ve noticed of the G44: thought it’s not a fixed barrel, it sort of acts like a fixed barrel. The barrel doesn’t drop like the other Glocks during cycling and loading each round. The chamber block’s top seems to run flush with the underneath side of the slide’s top. So the “locking” block doesn’t seem to receive as much stress with the .22LR cycling as with the other caliber cycling. It just looks like it secures the barrel between it and the take-down lever. Therefore, with the reduction of weight, I think the plastic locking block was a reasonable engineered decision. Thanks GlockStore for this great review.

I’ve not gotten my hands on a Glock 44 yet however, I think this might be a good training gun. You train someone on the Glock 44 and then they can transition to a Glock 19. Bass Pro in Gainesville Florida has a portable firing range behind their store that can only accommodate a.22 caliber round. Instructors can use this gun to get folks ready to get their concealed carry permit.

I don't mind the idea of getting one. when they sell it with a threaded barrel. When they sell it with a higher capacity magazine. And when they make one that will fit in a roni. That'll be a sellable 22.

I know it sucks to have to buy this G44 and then pay like $200 for a .22LR threaded barrel.

Hello. I think adjustable sites should be standard on all firearms. I hate non adjustable sites. Just me. Good video love the g44. And roni maybe be nice.

The G44 wasnt the success I expected and hoped it would be. My thinking was that it was going to be the definitive 22lr combat oriented pistol with Glock center fire reliability. Maybe Glock over promised on this one, but I shot a couple and tbh there is not much difference vs offerings from other manufactures - reliability is on par its competitors. In fact I found a Keltec P17 to be more reliable while offering a high mag round count and other value adding features at a lower price.

So would this fit in the same roni as the G19 Gen5? Coz this can then become something completely way more fun

Not a hater, in fact I love Glock design. But god damn the G44 is a joke, several people had catastrophic failure with it. It's a damn .22, how can you even have a catastrophic failure with it?!😂

Because companies try to adapt an existing platform from 9 or 45 to 22 when in fact these platforms just don't work. 22 is an unreliable round and needs a proprietary platform. Ruger really knows how to make a good 22. I have a Taurus TX22 and it runs everything, in hi cap mags, for 100 bucks less.

It's a shame, we have the size of the 19 for a 22, it's extremely big and the joke 10 cartridges in 22 while the 19 has 15 in 9mm because of that very few people will buy it it will remain a very limited market

I agree the capacity may be the down fall of this model. We need the Glock Store to design a new mag!
