BEAST MACHINES "Megatron is Savage/Noble"

- A fateful battle between Optimus Primal and Megatron had Megatron's organic half separated, of which was Savage/Noble. Incidentally, Megatron's spark was trapped inside the organic half he hated with a passion.

The worst part is that Megatron made it so CONVINCING that noble was a different person!

It's a nice touch how the floating Megatron head gets Noble's head transitioned in front of it, visual story telling is always great.
Interesting. Noble was birthed from Megatron’s beast mode. Had his Spark not remained with it, I wonder if Noble would have been given his own Spark from Vector Sigma. Or the Oracle.
Was great storyline watched it on a black&white mini tv inside 90s dodge van on the way to school early morning
I actually liked the idea of a piece of Megatron being good, and it would have been cool if Noble could have been permanent. A constant reminder to Megatron that within any evil there is a seed of good. It would of made the subsequent rivalry between them potentially rival that of Optimus and Megatron.
Yeah, it's a shame Noble died too soon, I kinda liked that character :(
I think had Megatron won, he would have connected his head onto Cybertron and assimilated the planet, becoming like Unicron. It’s also interesting that the heads alt mode is a ship very reminiscent to Megatrons ship from beast wars, the darkside.
Who knows?
When noble says yes in a Megatron way, just hits good
I like the way he complained about having his spark removed and put back into an inorganic body was too much of a risk, and it’s exactly what happened anyway
I guess he was out of options.
@@nexusshark Pretty much how he operated in every season of beast wars. Slow methodical plans giving way to desperate gambles as situations devolved.
@@TVIRG That's a nice detail, actually. Consistency with his previous depiction. There are a few moments where he acts very out of character, but this isn't one of them. (Why the hell did he _honor_ his deal with Rattrap early on? The Megatron we know from Beast Wars _hated_ the H-word!)
Noble was probably the coolest, badass looking guy in the whole show.
It's a shame he died.
He was also technically Megatron, so
Strika and Obsidian are way cooler.
But his death is not in vain for his death isn't a waste.
Why do the bad guys always get the good stuff.
Jetstorm was the coolest
Savage/Noble is a true mutant Transformer because he is 100% canon. It makes sense because there were no Beast Wars Mutants in the Beast Wars TV show. Savage/Noble is a Beast Machines-exclusive character.
They had a mutant transformer. Transmutate. It had no beast modeor alternate mode
I always though that noble was silverbolt
@@juscelinogoncalves5272 That actually would have been better than Jetstorm turning out to be Silverbolt...
@@yurionedge2199 yeah better is if jetstorm got starscream spark and betrays megatron instead of tankor
@@Scifilooker Speaking of Tankor, I hate how BM treated Rhinox's character.
Ok the Megatron head-ship transform is pretty dope.

Yeah, I love how unsettling it is
Beast Wars / Beast Machines Megatron is probably one of the most evil and cruel Megatrons ever to exist in any Transformers universe. While somehow still being both an absolute badass in his own right, and an absolute simp for G1 Megatron at the same time. Beast Machines is truly an enigma.
I’ll take an old school G1 Megs over a bumass Beast Machines Megs anytime. Beast Wars Megs was better than Beast Machines Megs.
He never really cared for G1 Megatron that much. His name was taken from a mythical figure, not him
@@HerohammerStudios well obviously p.s beast Megatron was way better in beast wars then in beast machines.
bw/bm megatron is an interesting character. he has his own sense of honor. he lets, I believe, Rattrap leave peacefully as part of their agreement in one BM episode. little moments like that add so much depth to characters that could easily become one note.
Wasn't Bay Megs a cannibal?

Megatron wasn't Noble. His spark was just inside of his body because Noble shows later in the series after this, but honestly I forgot when.
In darkest knight the real come's.
Noble/savage was megatron body it was meant to try to teach him the errors of his way. After megatron remove his spark noble/savage became a soul less monster

OPTIMUS PRIMAL NIGHTMARE
Beast Machines has a lot of moments that feel like the writers just changed their minds at the last second.
This isn't one of them. You actually see a lot of hints for Savage/Noble's true nature. For example, it's pretty strange that an organic berserk dragon would go unnoticed by Megatron. Noble's backstory Nightscream is basically the same as Nightscream's own story, complete with the same flashbacks, which makes sense when Megatron is trying to play on Nightscream's pity. And of course, David Kaye voices Noble.
The way that he says "Success!" is so Megatron.
@@neckpunch73 Plus Noble's dragon head looks eerily similar to Megatron's when he gets pissed off.
I remember watching this as a kid on Fox kids not only finding out he could control his transformation but that was Megatron crazy plot twist to me as a kid.
Noble looks a bit like SabreWulf form Killer Instinct
He DOES!
To Megatron's credit, he does get to transform into a bitchin' spaceship.
He's the only actual Transformer in this Transformers series.
Yes
@@ultra6671 No he's not!

@@ultra6671 Apart from maybe the Vehicons, yes.
Two of the worst parts that was in the savage noble arc was how easily they made nightscream convinced that noble was a true friend even though noble told the exact same origin story nightscream said down to a T and after Megatron separated his spark from noble he no longer had as Robert Paulson said "a badass voice." He was broken down to a wild animal.
I think it would have been interesting if rhinox won, and he became the villain of season 2 and he purposely put megatron in the body he would despise
And he would have to team up with the maximals, originally just to try to have a robot mode again and regain control of the planet, but he later relizes how twisted his goals truly were, though he hates the maximals to much to truly be one when the maximals when, he does decide to stop trying to destroy them. Assuming he isn’t killed before that could happen
That Megalomaniac just doesn’t know when to quit!
Oooooooh, Noble, an organic wolf can transform in a Dragon. I wonder which character thar disappeared recently could do that too.
Oh, hello Noble, you have to know we don't suspect about you and your strange obsesion with enter in Megatron's citadel.
clearly it's silverbolt. Get 'im Lise.
Clearly Megatronus or the Fallen, not Megatron!
I remember the intro episode of Noble being something of a high point for the series. Who is this mysterious creature, and why does he clearly have megatron's beast mode as his other form? Clearly Megatron's trying to get out.
Very next episode after hyping up what could have been an amazing story arc, or even just a good two parter, is instead just "And the answer is that it was Megatron all along!"
Now see the problem is we already new that. It was obvious. So we're just asking: "Okay so where'd the wolf come from? Why was Megatron pretending to not be in control as Savage instead of just fighting off the enemies and telling the maximals he was on their side? Why risk such stupidity instead of going for the body?" See the answer to all these is "to create a mystery for the audience."
The result? Noble and Savage wander around as a lame sulky hulk thing then he gets an extremely cliche' and empty death, taking a few broken drones down with him, and is never important again.
I mean it’s possible he wasn’t pretending, and he genuinely couldn’t control himself as Savage
@@cooldude2027 Nah, cause as soon as its convenient for the plot, they directly say he's able to control it again, and they never elaborate on where this second "feral" personality actually comes from, or where the wolf form comes from, or why he'd be in more control as a wolf than a dragon which was his actual form that he by all accounts should be used to.
@@DigimontamerB Well, I think the writers thought it would make more sense that a dragon would be the one that’s feral instead of a wolf
"Waaah, the story didn't conform to my fan theory"

Also "noble" was the catch phrase of Cody Burns, character from Rescue Bots
Whaaaaaat the guy with the same voice as megatron who appeared out of nowhere after megatron disappeared was megatron?!
David Kaye voiced megatron and noble but the voices are different
@@dynamitekiid For Noble, he's not over Enunciating every syllable, the Voice is the same, the sentence structure is different
The funny thing is, Noble is one of the better twists in Beast Machines. Yes, he has the same voice as Megatron and appeared right after Megatron disappeared, and those should be giant red flags, but the reason it works is because the first episode with Noble doesn't rely on many of the typical cartoon tells for deceit until the end (where he smirks and you realize he's up to no good).
I mean... look how many characters Scott McNeil alone voices. Bots having similar voices isn't crazy in itself.
Ok yeah, but c’mon, their voices were way different, and it wasn’t really obvious that Noble was Megatron

The one thing I don't get. Savage was clearly the purged remnant of Megatron's old Dragon beastmode. But where the hell did Noble come from?
Blazieth hmm, probably because he's pure organic they needed something that was humanoid so they chose the werewolf
For me megatron only controlled noble when he needed to because for me noble became a real friend of nightscream but I'm not sure, even the backstory of him is either invented or not
Maybe the wolf form represents the megatron status as a leader, like an alpha from a wolfpack
There have been theories he probably experimented on Silverbolt first. Later on when Silverbolt returns, he is just a bird.
@@livioghelminighezzi5579 As far as my knowledge goes, that is indeed canon.
That last quote was powerful
Cheetor: what is he doing?
Primal: i don't know
Me: you had to be kidding me, right?
Megatron : you think i was savage before bitch im savage as fuck >_>
A show where the main villian is a giant flying head is really intresting imo.
The designs were unique but I loved the background music
so many of the choices of Beast Machines feels like the new crew who came on board saw the notes of the old show and decided to "flip the scripts" to change things up and didn't care if this ended up completely out of tone with the first series or made great characters like Optimus and Megatron insufferable to listen to going on about their new motivations that the show tries to trick us into thinking was the intention all along, hence why this show is looked down upon compared to is outdated but still superior predecessor
No, the real reason folks were pissed is because the show only aired once and wasn't repeated and it wasn't more generic BW stuff.
Theory when Megatron's mechanical body merged with his organic form it also merged with silverbolt mechanical/organical sparkless body
When i watched this as a kid, I couldn't jeep up. Very confusing the series as a whole.
Damn I don’t remember if there was as an actual winner of this by the end but honestly after watching a few videos there is nooooooo way megaton should lose this

Dustin Wilbourn huh most just double down on the salt. Well maybe don't take spelling to hard. Someone who can't spell already knows they can't and if they are like me don't need the reminder of their failings. We try our best and can still make simple mistakes and never notice.
Me too this story was just a shit show. Megatron was actually trying to see Cybertron the way it has been for millions and millions of years. I honestly believe that the original Autobots and Decepticons would have joined forces to stop opitimus primal and he hippy tree hugging friends from destroying Cybertron. This was like Michael Bay quality writing here. Why do they think that EVERYTHING in the universe HAS to be organic like us? I mean seriously what is so wrong with having a planet of non organic life? Seems to me the writers of this show where racist.
The maximals were not ugly!
what your saying is wrong!creating a balance between was the only way to save cybertron.having a planet with non-organic life would make thing's worst!

Anthony Pierce he did.
He kinda did, but he was more like the team’s dog than anything
Man now i am in the mood to find that toy of Beast Changer.
This show was awesome back in the day
Think it has to be like 12 or 13 years since I touched Beast Machines, but I have to say I'm a bit confused on the separating organic part Megatron mentions. Unless he interacted with the same thing the Maximals did that changed their beast disguise armor into actual semi synthetic organics then he'd just have a regular transformation that was wholly robotic he could override. Though, knowing Megatron, after he got back to Cybertron he could very well have scoured it for similar related stuff to beasts and got juiced like the rest of them underground.
My best guess is the splitting happen when Primal basically destroyed Cybertron at the end of season one. When he fixed it by absorbing the organic core and vector sigma beams, it was probably then that the two halves of Megatron were split by his sheer will. Sadly, for Megatron, his organic half survived while his technological half became dust. My biggest complaint is why did Megatron choose the pure technological side since the organic helped him in the beast wars. I'm also against Cybertron having a pure organic core since G1 pretty much established that the core was the spark chamber of Primus. BM basically had Cybertron as an organic planet which Primus formatted into the technological version. I guess they went with the whole spirit of Primus and Unicron inhabiting floating rocks and changing them into their bodies over time but even that isn't enough for a pure organic core in my mind.
Megatron became fragmented. I’m guessing Primal tried to extract the good from Megatron when he was trying to “fix” Cybertron. His thoughts while repairing weren’t stable and perhaps had thoughts of Unicron pop in in the hopes that Megatron evil will just float out in space and get destroyed by comets and/or explode in the sun.
I enjoyed noble character in show. I was disappointed they couldn’t save rinox as kid but saved sliverbolt it least. Kinda like how silverbolt matured up but at same time I like his old self. Also am I only one who was routing for megatron win? I don’t like idea of maximals infecting there tech planet into half tech and half machine. Seems too odd. Overall I like original story which was beast wars.
Doesn't BW and BM share the same timeline/continuity with the G1 cartoon? So the Maximals are trying to turn a planet that was supposed to be a Quintesson factory into a techno-organic planet
@@ryanfarrelly4647 Yes Beast Wars and Beast machines are part of the generation 1 continuity

Megatron was quite the actor in fooling the Maximals the way he has as Noble. You'd think Noble/Savage being an organic transformer would raise some questions.

I imagine in a different realm, the alternate version of NOBLE, he is the former IronHide, who reformed himself before dying, and got reborn as a wolf transformer with his new name being NOBLE.
Plus to add I imagine he has a love interest it’s the female autobot Chromia, who later got reborn as a Jackal beast bot, and I imagine her new name is VIOLET.

This was way to trippy for me to get into as a kid
In the beginning, Optimus and the others along with Megatron returned to their present future, right? And Beast Machines is actually happening in their present future? Then that means Transformers G1 did happen, right? All the events of G1 didn't get erased and did happen? That's what I wanna know. Thank you. :D
Yeeees all of G1 happened but they didn't return to their "present future". Megatron freed him self on their way to cybertron and got there before the maximals and he took over and released a virus and exterminated anyone who survived it whit his army of droids thus changing the future the maximals arrive in.
Technically speaking G1 wouldn't happen unless the sparks of Optimus and Megatron were returned, and even then it'd be a splintered timeline, though I do doubt the writers cared much for that. Usually writers don't really think that far ahead.
I would love to see a masterpiece toy of savage/noble
Short of making a nontransforming Noble with a Savage Pretender shell, I don’t know how they could even come CLOSE. The “Beast Changer” figure was a VALIANT attempt, but it was a tad too red. And of course, the wings in both modes.
