I think the most important part is comfort. If you wore normal socks and felt no slip inside your foot and your foot completely fills the boot/shoe, there is no point of getting grip socks. For example, when I wore crazyfast, i can't wear grip socks because it actually makes it uncomfortable and actually painful, but when I wear Superfly 9 it fits perfectly and feels comfortable. It really depends on the boot and shape of your foot.
Unisport gribb socks are very comfortable and they really help for me
True, but confortable grip socks are absolutely amazing
@@JonathanRodriguez-nz9nw even if the socks is comfy, if the space between the boot and your feet is tight without one, I think gripsocks can make the fit uncomfortable because they are generally thicker due to padding and material.
@@monarch1993 you should try Liiteguard, Falke 4 Grip, the thin Trusox or Tabio grip socks. They are not thick, but a thickness just like, or thinner, than regular football socks
100 % agreed 👍
My problem with grip socks, especially with shoes that have a knit opening, is that as you put your foot in, the socks moves (because of the grip) and ends up folding up on itself inside, which causes significant discomfort and pain. Football shoes don't have much volume inside as it is.
I have a few pairs of liiteguard and gain the edge grip socks, both work great! Especially with the NB Furon!
We have come so far unisport army

I've been using some off-brand (Amazon buy) grip socks for about 8 months and they've held up really well even with all of the washing/drying. I use Mizuno Alpha Elite with an extra insole from a pair of Adidas Ultra boost and the grip socks helped fill in a little extra space that I didn't realize was there with regular socks. Combined with Mizuno's sticky liner, my feet are planted firmly and it's the perfect combo for me.
You have a really high arch jay :o . Love this video by the way, lots of great points mentioned. Can you recommend your top 5 grip socks? Also more importantly, as someone who suffers a lot from shin splints and knee problems, can you do a video/recommend the best compression gear to wear for football? Thank you
Watching live from Ghana 🇬🇭 🎉
I think next step is to use finger socks with grip (like yoga socks) that’s convine with a wide pair of soccer shoes (as a bearfoot shoes) it will be the beginning of new stronger ankles, knees reducing futures injuries
mizuno makes some socks like those and are made for footballers!
110%
I already do this and I'll never wear anything else.

How about putting the grip socks into the boot first, then putting your foot in? A bit fiddly the first couple of times but it’s easier to adjust the sock positioning relative to the boot that way, rather than struggling to get your foot plus the sock into the boot (which often leads to the toes being pulled downwards towards the sole).
Bro do u have a shop in India Karnataka?
I asking u to build one pls
I wear some Adidas performance cushioned grip shocks when i play football but i don't wear them in training or matches. I have also started feeling better wearing them as the time passes
I've had good results taking a lighter to cut socks and slightly searing the edges to stop them from fraying and ultimately falling apart. It works and does not reduce the lifespan of the sock itself.
I just got my grip socks today and dang, the difference is huge! Will order for another pair soon
I actually had to get thinner socks because my boots were initially too tight. But of course over time they expanded a bit but I still keep wearing the same socks. No movement inside the boot whatsoever and very comfortable.
Love how Jay Mike pulled out the adidas cushioned crew socks, probably the best non grip socks to play football with!
I like the grip socks but I found that the ones I used so far are thicker than my regular socks and kind of ruin the feel of the ball, so I went back to regular socks as they were not that bad
Hey jay I'm a goalkeeper could you please do content for goalkeepers such as techniques to use
My soccer cleats are broken completely, and i cant afford a new pair. i want to play but i dont have money right now, what should i do so i can still practice?
What leather boots do you recommend for passers, that have good padding?
Anti-injury tips, please
Warming up, cooling down, weight training and stretching
Right type of shoes, change the soles when its wore down, listen to your body when it tells you that you have pain. Eat enough and the right type of food And what Jonathan is saying to.
Good Idea 💡
I'm 12 years old kid 🧒 from sri Lanka 🇱🇰 🇱🇰 want be a pro footballer and unisport helping to achieve my dream❤❤❤
In my opinion, if your boot fits snug, there is no need for a grip sock, if you're in the need of grip socks your boots might be a size too large.
Facts 😂 when I wear big shoes I have to do this
That's not the case for all boots. I find my feet slip a little in my Crazyfast.1s in non-grip socks. Grip socks fixed that.
But finding that perfectly fitting boot isn't easy, or outright impossible for some people. Especially when you consider the different aspects of a boot people look for (upper material, soleplate, price, etc.), and the fact that everyone's feet are different. If everything else about a boot is just right for you aside from a marginal amount of imperfection in fit, then buying grip socks is worth it.
I wear 2 pairs of socks when I wear the Copa pure laceless. If I wear the phantom gx I don't need 2 pairs
agreed, all feet are different, i didnt take that into consideration, in my case my Vapor 15 fits snug and does not require any grip socks, bit it depends what boot you use and what type of feet you got @@rousseau327
Use water for the under of ur grip socks to reduce the gripness before putting it on just sprinkle some water under ur grip socks and ur good to go 👍
thanks to you Jay Mike. I use LiiteGuard grip socks. I tried Falke and many other brands but I enjoyed LiiteGuard the most! To me, I feel extra comfortable when I play football! Pairing up the LiiteGuard grip socks with a pair of Mizuno Morelia Neo Betas MIJ. Best combo ever!
Do you not feel like it’s too grippy? I’ve tried this combo and hate the feeling of not being able to move my toes. It also legit hurts the toes after playing for a bit
@@JoblessJazz not really. With the LiiteGuard socks and the mizuno neo betas made it feel like a glove. Where I felt super grippy was with the Mizuno Alpha MIJ’s. With the grippy texture inside the boot and with the liitegaurd grip sock. It did feel like I couldn’t move my toes and I got blisters on the outside of both pinky toes.
@@nfg182 the Alphas are the exact boots I’m having trouble with too. I love the look and feel of them but keep getting toe pain when wearing with grip socks/original insoles. I’ve tried swapping out the insoles with regular Nike ones and it seems to improve it. I think insoles are way more important than they seem, but it’s so hard finding the right ones devoted to football. So many options for so many different things.
@@JoblessJazz I hate to hear that you have troubles with the Alphas. I also love the look of the boots but I also have a complaint about my Alphas. It may just be me but when I use them I feel pressure points and pain on bottom of my feet. I have stopped using the alphas and went back with the Morelia Neo Betas. Maybe I will use some Nike insoles with the alphas and that will fix my issue with my foot pain. Thanks for the info. Do you also use the LiiteGuard grip socks?
@@nfg182 no I don’t use grip socks with them, and I feel like this helps (they already have a grippy heel liner etc so slippage isn’t an issue. The other issue could be the Karvo plate. It’s sooo stiff. Maybe I just haven’t put in enough hours in them but honestly try and flex the forefront and compare it to any other boots. It’s so stiff. I’m a pacy player that spends most of the time on the front of my feet so maybe it’s a mix of these factors that cause the foot pain. I love the look and concept and really want them to become my main boot 🥲
I struggle alot to put on lace-less boots or those sock line boots with grip socks on
I wear tabio full mesh socks 🧦 they have no grip and are very thin socks funny enough they make sport dedicated grip socks and are very nice but I choose the thin sock over the sport socks
Do you have to get permission to show shoe brands in videos?
nice vid
100% true. They save your toenails
So why don't they just make grip socks that are soccer length?
There is some already
Use grip socks and sleeves. They're way better
Sleeves come with many colors so you can match it with team uniforms no matter what color of the grip sock you have. That's more convenient.
Because everyone will want to wear whatever they want so making cheap socks for clubs saves money and players just cut them
They do have long length ones, I have grip socks that are long
I find it a pain to get my boots on while wearing grip socks unless the boots have a U-throat collar.
Why don’t they just start fitting the grip element on the insole of the boot itself and then no need for special socks.??
Me now knowing why my feet hurt on the bottom of my heals😂
of course jaymike can talk about gripsocks for 11 minutes
why can't they just put grips on any socks?🤔
So the grip socks are more expensive than regular socks. Then, on top of that, you have to buy a sleeve which adds to the price. Grip socks better be a huge improvement over regular socks.
No slip-ups in the intro
Yo Jay Mike do you think first copy football boots are good?
Nice tips😅
how do you wear these with your actual Kit socks ?
Cut off socks
No more collabs with Josh from Soccerreviews4you after this
Interesting that Jay avoided the OG, and arguably greatest gripsock , in the TRUSOX. 🤔
Are they for sale on unisport? I dont think jay ever mentions products u cant buy from unisport
They need to make thicker grip socks to fill the whole cleat inside
Nice
Try Speedy Socks⚡️
Where to buy grip socks
decathlon
Uniport store they have a website online or Amazon
Use contact glue
Grip socks are a waste of money they barely last regardless where you get them from. Nike dri fit socks get the job done ⚡️
Gripsocks in my country costs 40$☠️
You know who never wore Grip Socks:
Pele
Best
Maradona
Gullit
Platini
Cruijff

Grip socks overrated 💯
Yeah but there nice
It works if you pick the good one. Need grip on both sides of the sock
Fr I don‘t need them
I fit good in my shoes and don‘t slip a millimeter in them
(But I‘m watching the vid anyways)
And to be honest I‘m also using football shoes with 1 and a half size smaller than my normal shoes
