    The most logical explanation which fits all the facts is this:
    1) Yui falls off the stage at The Budokan Red Night in 2014 due to inadequate safety precautions.
    2) Although she appeared to be ok and was back onstage for the next song there must have been some spinal/muscle damage.
    3) Due to BABYMETAL's constant hectic schedule inadequate treatment was given. Therefore the problem gradually got worse.
    4) By 2017 Yui was on steroids/painkillers in order to be able to perform, finally in her last show having to wear a back brace.
    5) All of the above was clearly down to negligence by Amuse: so when Yui left BABYMETAL she signed an NDA in return for Amuse
    agreeing to cover all her medical costs whilst keeping her on as a signed Amuse artist, and possibly a basic fixed income.
    6) Similarly Su and Moa are contractually forbidden to discuss or reveal any details about the whole situation.

      While totally plausible, I don't know that I believe that to be the case. I always had suspicions, and again, no proof, just suspicions, that what afflicted her family member when she was very young wad beginning to take hold of her as well and as a result the doctors told her she had to stop and start treatments to prevent it from becoming as serious as what happened to her family member, thus she left Babymetal but said she hoped to return some day as Yui. Just speculation, but that is what I always thought. Not e en sure WHY that popped into my head, but it was the first thing I thought of when I heard she was leaving.

    • @musicgarryj
      @musicgarryj Před 7 měsíci

      Yui's relative was apparently suffering from a "life threatening" illness. Yui's condition was clearly related to her back. Back injuries/problems are rarely life threatening. Therefore imo the balance of probabilities points to this originating with the Budokan fall. If it was some sort of family inherited genetic condition then surely it would have affected her mother as well?@@jeremyboynowski3784

    Seems legit. Yui having back issues was already one of the theories. Some people claimed that they thought she was wearing a back support brace under her stage costume at multiple shows. I donno. But it really does seem legit. Makes sense.

  • @Glynthepin
    @Glynthepin Před 7 měsíci +9

    I believe a lot of the issues is AMUSE were virtually silent about Yui's absence.
    It was not until Yui's statement was released that it was known, that she would not return to BabyMetal. AMUSE obfuscated the question and would not say if Yui, would return for the USA tour after Su's twentieth birthday concert show. People were shocked, angered and extremely disappointed she was not on stage at that time.
    This for me, is where all this continued speculation was incubated.
    I believe and people may think I am being cynical but AMUSE are ruthless business people. Letting it be known Yui, would not be attending that USA tour, could have led to reduce ticket sales and merchandise sales.
    A statement from AMUSE, clearly stating that Yui will not be appearing for that tour and then a second one after the tour reporting that Yui, is still not ready to return to BabyMetal, would have stopped, probably 99% of all these wild speculations.
    The statement from Yui herself, would have ended all this nonsense completely. Sadly The One, did not get that and the result, still rears it's head.

      "The statement from Yui herself, would have ended all this nonsense completely."
      Considering that people are still arguing about this years later makes me think you've got a lot of misplaced optimism about a certain sub group of BABYMETAL fans.
      She issued a statement when she decided to leave the group.
      And yet, we still get posts and speculation like this one.

    I’m happy Yui and the band members are cool. They are basically family. She’s prolly somewhat involved behind the scenes. Wouldn’t surprise me if Yui is helping Momo.
    My wish: Few years from now. In their 30s. Yui comes back for a one off in Tokyo. Su. Moa. Momo. Yui. All at once. One time.
    That performance would stand the test of time and I’ll throw my life savings for it.

    Thank you for standing up for Yui and truth.
    A few fans claim to be fans of Babymetal yet they will call Yui a liar. Real class.
    Back issues make sense as to the physical health. Her fall from the stage looked bad and is much worse than we thought. My concern for Yui is that she can recover from the back issues. Been fighting mine for 35+ years.
    No matter what, we will always miss her and root for her success.
    If Yui cannot go back to performing, maybe she could go into music and stage production. She was Production Chair her senior year at Sakura Gakuin, after all.

      @paulelainebarks8644 Před 18 dny

      Back issues are no joke. Nor any injury. I stopped footballing probably 10 years earlier than I would because of them.
      Yui had dreams to be a solo performer, cool. We haven't seen that so why not?
      Possibly because she physically cannot? Being stopped like that because of ill health must be brutally devastating, why wouldn't you hide away. Must be gut wrenching to see others doing what you simply cannot anymore. Does anyone want to see Yui like another Phil Collins? Wheeled out on a wheelchair? That BTW is devastatingly sad to see.
      Maybe Su told Yui to look after her health first and foremost, she had Himeka's example to draw on. Seeing how Himeka suffered must have been hard and she wouldn't want Yui to face the same.
      Whatever she's doing I hope she's happy and healthy as she can be. Yui always seemed the most sensible but shyest member. Maybe she pursued her astronomy dreams, and deliberately keeps a low profile? Until she tells us, we won't know.

      I'm sure Su said loads as far as she and Moa were concerned, Yui was still a member right up to Yuis statement.
      Here's a few facts. People say amuse are ruthless and babymetal fabricated. If this was true, Yui would have been replaced pronto! Mustn't halt the money machine, right?
      The fact that spot was left open so long says to me that Su and Moa, always hoped that Yui would return no matter what. And despite her statement, and got their way with amuse.
      Then maybe it became clear that wasn't going to happen, maybe from Yui herself so Momo got her reward.
      I think Su would have followed and backed Yui 100% in her choices, after what happened to her sister. And probably told Yui in the end her health was the most important thing. I remember all the wild speculation about Himeka too, even now when we know the facts.

    I must say this, after Yui Mizuno took a nasty spill at the Budokan a few years ago, she had not been the same since. I believe that fall did more damage than a lot of people realizes, and yes, I'm only guessing at this myself.
    I don't doubt Yui saying her reasons for leaving Babymetal, I don't believe there is bad blood between them, even after she left, Su-Metal and Moametal knew they needed to move forward after Yui left, but they still expressed love for her. At least I got the feeling of that.
    And one other thing here, and it just dawned on me. Who is to say that Yui is or isn't attending Babymetal shows? I believe she might still attend shows, if she is able, I believe in my heart she still has deep love for her former band mates. This is also just a guess as well.

    It seems like the back and health issues may have been the reason why she left. The choreography and stages are now designed for the members to stay in one place, whereas they used to be on a moving platform. In the "IDZ" choreography, some people noticed that the running part is slower and longer, header they don't do the jumping anymore. In the K-pop industry, choreography isn't usually changed unless there's a serious injury preventing them from doing the move, for safety reasons. I understand that the phenomenon of sudden disappearances is quite unusual, but it's actually a common occurrence in Japan. There's even a specific term for it, and it applies to Japanese idols who withdraw from the public eye to lead normal lives. In Japan and Korea, there are strict privacy laws for celebrities, which is why rumors can be particularly surprising to American audiences. This is likely because we are accustomed to constant media coverage of celebrities, including paparazzi following their every move.

    The deadest of dead horses is continuing to be beaten. We will never know what the real reason was, and that is fine. Neither Yui nor anyone else involved owes us an explanation; she's entitled to privacy in medical matters. Babymetal has moved on, Momoko has become the new member and is doing a fine job, and hopefully Yui is doing well in whatever she is doing now.
    That said, I think it's the mystery around what Yui is up to now that keeps this issue bubbling along. Yui is still listed as an Amuse talent, and her statement made it sound like she would be a performer in the future, yet nothing has happened. I think if she had reappeared as part of another project that would give people a definitive answer and there would be closure. It's the uncertainty that keeps people speculating.

It's usually copy/paste text from YEARS of the same bs being posted across the interwebs. And I wouldn't be surprised if dudes are utilizing AI to generate word vomit to trigger fans for reactions. It's a stupid habit of creeps and jerks of the online culture. Same bs & disinformation as seen/read when I discovered BABYMETAL in 2019. Didn't get any better in 2020 when everyone was home & online for several months. (SMH x 2). And that sucks for New fans who are out there trying to learn more of the history of BABYMETAL. They out here just wanting to learn about this group from Japan and find these stupid online content of comment battles about a former member. I've personally blocked out anything about Yuimetal subject online. Especially if it's in English. That's the red flag for me. The BABYMETAL fans of Japan I follow on X don't ever launch into comment battles about it.
    In conclusion: Thank You for reading out loud the Official Statement! 🤘 That right there is what's going to assist New fans to better understand the Legit reason about the Yuimetal subject. Let's hope the New fans can respect and honor the legit reason, and continue to support BABYMETAL. 🤘🦊

    This post was just some dude going "trust me bro" without giving any evidence at all. Literally zero value post. People weren't dogpiling on this post because they think there were badblood between the members. This was pretty much like me going "my uncle works at nintendo and I know that the next console will be trust me bro". Also the title REAL REASON YUI LEFT BABYMETAL is annoying as heck since you really need to give some concrete evidence to make statements like that but this guy literally gave us nothing to support his claims. Really don't know what videos of her collapsing are you talking about? Only time I have seen or heard of her "collapsing" were the famous incident where she fell of the stage during the budokan shows. And when she had a heatstroke during some concert in 2015 (or around that time)

    and why would someone completely disappear due to a back health problem? ok, maybe Yui had many others reasons to leave the band, that's normal... but the issue is Yui's total disappearance... sorry, this isn't a private life, it's a hidden life... living in hiding like that would be very difficult even for us anonymous people, so imagine for a beloved public person like Yui... she could put an end to all the speculation by recording a video explaining the reason... that's it...

    Besides anything else, it's HUGELY disrespectful to Momo. She's doing the best job and , think about, had probably the biggest shoes to fill. And has done it superbly.
    I'd go as far as to say Momo plugged the hole in the slightly sinking ship.
    In Japanese culture if you quit, you quit. Had Yui's health improved to the point she was able to perform again, it would NEVER have been with BABYMETAL.
    Yuimetal is akin to your first boyfriend/girlfriend that you fondly reminisce about. Gone but never forgotten.
    Bad blood? After everything they went through together, it's laughable there could be. Su's obvious affection and Moa's close friendship with Yui was there to see.

    • @jeremyboynowski3784
      @jeremyboynowski3784 Před 7 měsíci +5

      Further proof of the close bond the original members had for one another is everywhere, from Su declaring that Yui will forever be a part of Babymetal, to the little Easter Egg you get when Babymetal performed Babymetal - The One Stairway to Living Legend where at the end of the song you see 3 comets flying off even though it's just Su and Moa. The third comet is an obvious reference to Yui. You can't even make the argument is Momo as Momo was not declared an official Babymetal member yet at that time, nor did she perform that song with Moa and Su. If she HAD performed that song with them, then you would have a bit of a stronger case, but she didn't. It was very obviously a very intimate and private performance meant for the fans and Babymetal, yet it STILL had the 3 comets. So in my eyes it has to be a nod to Yui. If Amuse, Su, and Moa didn't care anything about Yui, there wouldn't have been anything of the sort.
      I loved Yui as a member of Babymetal and she was my favorite of the 3 while she was in the group. Out of the 3 of the girls, I felt she was the most ... unusual. There was so many little things about her, from her timidness, to her Yuibot'ness, to her ability to ALWAYS detect when a camera was focused on her. Her ability to stare into your soul, to fall asleep during interviews. To me she was/is a girl who is very introverted, but was pushing past that boundary to become an idol, so she worked on to push her boundary and comfort level and pursue her dream of becoming an idol. So I had a lot of respect for her for doing that and actually succeeding in that pursuit! I love the other girls as well, but Yui will always have a bit more respect in my eyes for those reasons. Not to mention I recently learned it was YUI who would decide the set lists and stuff like that, so even at her young age she was a mastermind at things like that. Makes me curious what other tricks these girls have up their sleeves that us fans don't know about yet!

      @@jeremyboynowski3784 "Not to mention I recently learned it was YUI who would decide the set lists and stuff like that"
      Yui was in charge of that during her senior year in Sakura Gakuin, in her role as Production Chairman. Moa was class President that year.
      I've never seen any credible source that says she had the same job with BABYMETAL.
      We do know from interviews with the members, that she insisted that 'Road of Resistance' have its worldwide debut at O2 Academy Brixton.
      That would be an odd thing to remark upon if she was the person in charge of deciding setlists.

    Yui left for her own reasons. She hasn’t explained those reasons. Amuse hasn’t either. Nor has Su or Moa. No one related to BabyMetal has explained the reasons.
    Yui has moved on. No one has heard or seen anything from her since the SG book quote. If Yui has moved on. Su & Moa has moved on too. Momo has officially joined the group. Brand new album & world tour is currently going on. Years have passed.
    People need to let go. You can reminisce about all those years of Yui being part of BabyMetal. Founding member. Never will be replaced. If people can’t move on then enjoy the early albums of BabyMetal. Because it doesn’t look like the group is slowing down anytime soon. So, make a choice.. linger in the past or remember the past fondly but enjoy the ongoing journey.

    First off Yui Mizuno has no official social media account here in Japan and basically became a ghost. She hasn't made a appearance since she left Babymetal and because she comes from a rich family plus having made lots of money during her time in babymetal she was able to use all of the money to disappear.
    Two things that will plague Yui story-wise is the death of Takayoshi Ohmura then her leaving Banymeatl abruptly starting the rumors she was pregnant with his child. The rumors hold weight to this day because Yui remains missing to this day. For all we know she could not even be in Japan and be living abroad in Europe somewhere where it would be easy for her to remain anonymous.
    Bottom line is nobody will ever know until she comes out of hiding which is highly unlikely and the longer she remains gone and anonymous with the rumors continuing I honestly believe she will remain anonymous.
