What did you guys think about this episode? We all knew that this would have happened sooner or later, but did you like it how it turned out? How Leyla was straight forward and didn't hesitate to let Lauren know about the donation and how she bought her a 5th residency spot? What do you think about the break up? The things that have been said? The "you tried to owned me. You bought me? That's not love."
NOTE: When the show comes back Leyla is MIA and Lauren is very worried. She doesn't know anything about her for a while.

The writers really blew this beautiful relationship up with no reason. They created such a beautiful love story, only to blow it up.
They messed it up so bad. I still feel disappointed by how this storyline ended.
The fact that she is a foreigner and used a phrase like"you bought me"...Made Lauren cry because that was not her intention.Stuff is deep.

I'm hurt for Lauren, my tear drop at this scene but I also understand Leyla but we saw it coming. Leyla is so principled person and she want to prove to herself that she can do it on her own. And she to take it as her pride to be pick as resident according to her ability and not by Bloom paying it. But if Leyla feel insulted and be little, Lauren's love is great though,..she may loss her career of things get expose she might loss her licence. But instead of losing Leyla she out her licence in the line and made a donation.
I hope Leyla will not waste what Lauren had done for her, she may leave her but not to be too stupid to leave the hospital if that happened that's called stupidity of pride. May she not throw away the opportunity. Other people use connections and backup just to be on their post too.
“That’s not love” was a bullet to Lauren’s chest, you can see her (brillant )reaction.
That said, Lauren’s kind gesture from the first day they met was just that,a kind gesture to a woman who saved her patient and it turned into a friendship and full blown relationship. Everything up to the point of that donation was out of genuine love, care and kindness. So it must hurt to hear Leyla say that was all to own her. I mean, Lauren was the one in a privileged position with a job, roof over her head and money and she didn’t abuse it, rather used it to help a friend..now the donation is something else. She acted out of fear of losing the one good and stable thing in her life, she believed she could control or change the situation for once and she wasn’t going to not do that. She needs to heal and unpack all that trauma.. Leyla i assume from her own background and struggle, has a problem with receiving help..(that in itself isn’t a healthy thing.) we see this from how the other residents got in her head and how she wanted to give up her equipments until Lauren found a brilliant idea and laid that to rest. They just really need to work out their issues separately and then sit together and have a proper convo about it, And Lauren can properly apologize and then they can both continue to live happily ever after..
Ps: the way Lauren said “ I love you” ughhh all the feels..it’s how you know it all came from a place of love. It’s why intention and action always have to align or you get things like this,

I think your POV is good but one of the issues was Lauren fearing their relationship would fall apart when leyla went to Washington. For achievements as well, it's important to know your career is built on YOUR abilities, no matter who it is. Leyla would've been successful had she gone to Washington yes but receiving help and buying it are two different things. Lauren shouldn't have done that. It's gonna take a lot to work through this. Leyla was right to assert herself here because I think Lauren's intentions didn't come from the purest place (her breakdown after finding out about Washington and then marching to fix it through a bribe)
I just want to see the faces of those brilliant and cruel writers!!!
Wtf this better be a way to show that every couple has its trial and then put them back together
From selflessness to being selfish.. From selfishness to being selfless.. Love can really blind these both, but only love can also understand these both..

Oh shit! I could understand why Leyla think of Lauren tried to owned her and bought her, cause from the very beginning Leyla was doing her best to earn her living. Imagine the life in Pakistan, she is one of the small number of lucky female could have educated and trained to be a doctor; it's more of a dignity to her to prove that she's worth to earn the post instead of buying. Especially, she is sleeping with the person who bought it for her. To her, it's kind like she is selling herself.
I just hope Leyla come to her understanding of why Lauren did that - out of love and feeling it's not fair to Leyla because she's not a local, and forgive Lauren and come back to her.
Dude i am from Pakistan he have plenty of female doctors we actually have a little crisis of male doctors as all the medical colleges seats mostly girls got them.
I am also medical student and i can tell you mostly my professors(doctors) are female.. we are very morden and progressive country btw
@@manahilanis6964 if you are from Pakistan then you know how hard the female doctors have to work to prove themselves instead of male doctors. I’ve worked in medical field for over 16 years, heard a lot of stories about it.

We every female apart from being Doctor lawyer etc has to work 4 time harder than male to just to get acknowledge not just in Pakistan its all over the world(sadly)
Bribing is WRONG but bringing down all Lauren's love for her like that... Was wrong too. I mean, they say: actions speak louder than words and Lauren's have been screaming from the rooftops.

We knew this was coming, and the way they delivered it (the chosen dialogue) really lived up to the expectation. We all knew it’s gonna hurt, and man it did hurt good 😭 I hope they come back from this though 💔
I see Layla's point because when people find out that her girlfriend pay for her to be there that will make it look like she couldn't cut it on her own but one two thing Lauren do love her she just went about it the wrong way but I hope they do work it out they make a great couple
Leyla has all the right to feel upset, Lauren betrayed her trust, honestly Lauren still as A LOT of work to do before being able to be in a proper relationship
I think it has to do with addiction as well as little experience in committed relationships. Remember when they had different shifts and how that affected her. She had that conversation with Iggy and I think she said that she was addicted to Leyla. I think at the time she was desperate and we saw it and she was so terrified of her being so far away that it was the only way. I can see both sides in that while Lauren didn't want her to leave she also saw how worth as a doctor and I think she is honest in admitting both. Then Leyla thinking she was bought and not believing that Lauen really respected her. They both were good for each other and lifted each other out of a bad situation and there was some dependency on both parties. I guess they both need to see if it's really love for each other that has them together and not the other need to be together.
I hope that bloom doesn't relapse!

I don’t understand why money is an issue. She wants to be with her girlfriend working side by side, what’s wrong with that? The only thing is that she must told her the truth since the beginning. True love survives everything.
It might be shock for you but some people have principals and moral. Leyla is obviously like that since she didn't even want Lauren to pay for a hotel room. The fact that your gf bribed someone and then lied about it into your face is for some people a problem. Can you imagine that your friends got the spot in the hospital because their good a you got there because your gf paid for it? I wouldn't wanna be in Leyla's position.

Because they have a different background leyla reacted like she did. But from Leylas point of view it sounds like the entire relationship was a fake and nothing was ever real. But that is not really the truth. Lauren wasn't calculated she just didn't want to loose her, since first second of the conversation you could see in Lauren's eyes that this is the end and Leyla will leave her. She was already heartbroken before she said 'i love you' and before Leyla said 'that's not love'.
If this is the end I will feel sorry for Lauren, this was the most stable and happy relationship she ever had.

Lauren was wrong to keep the secret hidden, she had to mention something but didn't, leyla felt like shit when floyd told her and I can understand her reaction. But this whole relationship has to find each other, talk about it and get back together.

I am curious to find out if this is the day after Leyla found out from Floyd or if Leyla has been holding it in for a few days before saying anything to Lauren.
People complain about the writing, but I have watched these over and over and I can't begin to express just how amazing the writing is. If you really look carefully, there is so much nuance and so much information about their relationship in 4mins. Even with the little information we have I still feel like I know Leyla very intimately and there are probably so many layers of her character still to unpeel, a testament to Shiva for her dept acting skills. So much about Lauren's past and childhood comes full circle in this episode.

I think here the solution should be UNCONDITIONAL LOVE ... but we are dealing with two different cultures here, Lauren DID ALL HER "CONTRIBUTES" FROM THE HEART .. and she knew the system as to if she did not help in, how difficult it would be for Leyla to continue or start her medical career in New Amsterdam. Lauren meant it with a good heart, but Leyla has some scars she did not heal from because help from others is not quite her approval thing because she takes help too seriously to the heart as if it's a bad thing when she receives help. I hope they come back together because they make an awesome couple. Love is love, but love understands and love heals if two people are willing to overcome the obstacles❤️
