Brian was my first cousin. Amazing talent. He was born to play the blues and did so from an early age. I convinced him around this time in the early 90’s to come up to Mt. Forest and play at the Royal. Our family got to enjoy the great sound of The Nationals for two nights. That little bar sure was treated to an amazing weekend of Blues! I can never get enough of his amazing rendition of Dust My Broom 31:52.
In between gigs that weekend I took Brian out fishing to a local spot. We didn’t catch anything but I guess that’s why they call it the blues!

Weird "life" this video had. Lost, forgotten, found, lended to a friend, lost again, found... and it all took "just" 27 years.

This is smokin'! So great to hear Paul and Mackie again, and you, Peeter, who seemed like a terrible loss, of a key, sympatico player and stylist at the time, as I recall, when I'd just entered that scene and was just getting to know people. Cheers on unearthing a document that will be prized and enjoyed by a great many, if there's any taste and justice in the world.

I used to watch him playing with his band, "The Nationals" back in the day growing up in Paris.. at The Arlington.
He was just an incredible talented and friendly person.. He inspired me to play, and to pick up a slide... or 2 ;)
    Thanks so much for posting..!
Anyone know where this was taken...?
