Also Daniel wasn't going for the honk. ..this man was literally about to murder him, the look he gives Johnny and the speech Chozen gave him, he was about to step off the deep end but the kids saved him, a parallel to Mr. Myagi in with his own war experience vs Kresse. How they both had similar experiences but chose different paths.

Daniel was considering finishing him but he wouldn’t have actually gone through with it. It’s subtle, but you can see in his face that he was just starting to hesitate right before the kids ran up.

Demetri being having true Miyagi traits at 13:52 standing up for the young ones. Also the fact he was willing to take Eli back for everything he did.
Daniel wasn't about to do the honk. That was the stance Sato took when he was going to kill Mr. Miyagi right before his dad died.
For all Daniel knew they were going to kill his daughter. He was ready to go all the way, Johnny too.

Props to Stiven!! He had the guts to fight Hawk, take glass to the head, get his ass whooped. Then go at Tory, get his ass whooped, and then went back at her one last time, because he was trying to protect Sam from getting hurt! Then he got up and fought Hawk again....He is my low key favorite in defensive fighting!! 😎

He should fight that other short guy with long hair from Cobra Kai since they both seem to lose often for their respective teams so it would make for a fair fight and equal chance for one of them to finally take a win

The brilliance of these writers and this show is amazing. Notice how Eli got his theme score when he became Hawk. Miguel got his theme score when he became champion. Roby received his when he just crossed over to Cobra Kai when he attacked Johnny. To watch these kids going from young kids to becoming something more is great and I wish all show put so much into character development and the music with storytelling. Roby theme is amazing by the way with the Anakin style sample

@@Twrite609 No, I don’t think she has one yet. My favorite is Dark Hawk theme.. I called it Dark because Hawk was badass but his mind was in the dark. Now he’s come to light wonder if it will change the theme.
Cobra Kai does what so many shows try to do and fail, especially nowadays. It honors, and respects the original movies, the fans, both the old and new. Plus it does it all in a fresh and unique modern story. Seriously, so dang good.

Back in season 1 robbie was the best fighter cuz he wins a point to miguel with one hand and did the double kick learned from Daniel. Then Miguel, like Johnny when he was the star pupil with Kreese, kick in Robbie's wound and then win the championship

To Nikki's question my uncles were vietnam vets, one of them told me there were camps where POWs had to fight there brothers for survival or the would be executed, some chose to be executed. As a vet myself I could not fathom that or what I would have done, I did a lot in my tours BTW.

Robbie fighting Johnny was like the reverse of Luke vs Vader.
And Kreese was like The emperor.
Just from your opening concerns, which we all had too, THIS episode is how you subvert expectations. Ali ended not being a source of conflict but of healing, Johnny was the bigger man and held strong, Hawk found his inner Eli again and of course that great ending.
It was the antithesis of last season where everything ended on a downer.

Hawk brought balance to the force.. AND Daniel was not going to honk his nose, PLAYTIME IS OVER... rest assured if/when Silver shows up there will be no games.
I really liked how they wrote Ali's character.
It was really well done
This will set up Robbie's redemption arc, like his father before him.
Robbie will win the tournament. That way Robbie can have a legit face turn, and Daniel and Johnny wont hate it. Which means season 5 Kreese still leaves Silver leads!
@@kev0lution I dont think season 4 will start the training of the tournament, i think the start of season4 will start with the aftermath of the tournament that Robby wins and then maybe a few months later everyone's lives have changed ever since the tournament

@@kev0lution that’s my prediction too that Robby will win the tournament. Silver might do some shady stuff that might run down Cobra Kai. Just for the sake of drama, hopefully they’ll bring Mike Barnes to the mix which will shake Daniel up now that Johnny is on his side.
@@BamBam-3886 I'm not even sure a season 5 would be necessary at this point. The show can only go so far. They are just starting to push limits without becoming TOO dramatic. I'd be happy if it ended with 4. If they did do a season 5 it would have to be fresh. All the main characters we like would be on good terms... Possibly they decide to compete as the Cobra Kai Johnny originally intended it to be and go against other dojos in the United States Karate Championship.
If Miguel was 100 healed he would smoked everyone there alone.

Loved the final scene with Ali and Johnny. William Zabka (who starred in Hot Tub Time Machine) says "It's like we had our own time machine". And Elizabeth Shue (who starred in Back to the Future 2) says "it was nice to go back to the past"! Perfect!

I knew you'd love this episode! Ali helped the guys heal their shit, the kids realizing they have to work together to face Cobra Kai. And seemingly brought Johnny and Daniel together. The flashbacks helping us understand where Kreese and Silver come from. You're right on, the fight choreography is amazing! And honestly? Even though it was a cover, "In the air tonight" as the two dojos join was EPIC! And with Hawk, I agree, you could see Hawk's internal conflict and I mean, yeah Kreese basically putting Hawk by the wayside brought him back to being Eli. And yeah, you can be a geek and a badass. Me too bro lol. Cannot wait for season 4! Looking forward to next season with you both and the next show. I'm up to episode 3 of your season 1 Breaking Bad reactions now too. Although the fight between Robby and Johnny was heartbreaking, I think anyone in Robby's shoes would have physically attacked their deadbeat father if pushed to the breaking point.

Out of my chair and screamed! I am so happy! They were leading up to it the entire season. When kreese told hawk that they needed a new champion hawk thought he was talking about him but he was talking about Robby. Kreese has been wanting to recruit Robby since season2.

I really can’t blame Robby for siding with Kreese, just look at it from his POV. Johnny has never been there for him and in recent times has clearly prioritised Miguel. Daniel betrayed him by turning him in the cops. Sam cheated on him with Miguel, and seemingly got back with him while Robby was in lock up, without actually ending things with Robby. I mean he gets out of juvy and immediately sees Sam and Miguel flirt fighting in the miyagi do dojo, which was the place Robby and Sam had spent so much time together. On the contrary, Kreese visited him, and gave him a place a stay. But most importantly he is on Robbys side.
Obviously we know Robbys faith in Kreese is misguided, but I can see where he’s coming from.
Also Tory had warned him about Sam and Miguel, and the next thing he sees is them together. And the fact that we see him at the Larusso's house means that he had either come to meet Sam or Daniel or maybe both, implying that he was about to apologize to them and maybe later Miguel, we don't know. But all of the sam and miguel drama happened and hence was misguided.
he has way too many diff people in his head.. and lets be honest Johnny barely tries to connect with Robby he rather spend time with Miguel cause he doesn't have to face all his mistakes I feel soooo bad for Robby I loved him so much in season 2 :(
@@kdvn1 Yeah like Johnny literally gave himself a concussion just to see Miguel but couldn't show up for Robby. I just wish we could have seen more things through Robby's perspective this season, he felt so sidelined and this was the worst season to sideline his character.
And everyone blamed him for kicking miguel off the balcony, and because he used Daniels teaching he got beat up and humiliated in prison until kreese taught him otherwise.
I don’t blame Robby but it was Miguels girl first too so we can’t blame either of them
I love the hawk appreciation! a lot of people seemed quick to just write him off as "bad", but his character is so complex and interesting, also jacob does such a great job at portraying him. cant wait for season 4! great reaction guys
Kumiko and Ali coming back were the highlight of the show for me. They wrote the characters in a smart way. No over the top sexual tension, infidelity, or other crap most shows would’ve done. They provided much needed development and assistance for the main characters. Plus it was just plain fun to catch up with them in that universe. They were voices of reason when it was needed the most. And they each managed to capture just the right amount of nostalgia. I have to say that both women have aged so gracefully, too.
I’m so happy with how this season ended. I can honestly patiently wait till the next season. I loved the ending of last season, but that was literally torture having to wait like a year and a half/2 years to find out what happened to Miguel after his big fall (not necessarily the shows fault though, pandemic happened and switch to Netflix)

I didn't like him in S1 started to like him a bit in S2 but love him now after S3, hoping to see some Binary Brothers interaction with Hawk - teaming up in a fight, practising at the dojo and the wheel technique or the geko's Daniel done. Just recently remembered how Demetri in S1 in the school canteen was dismissive to Miguel about learning karate "hear that Eli learn some karate and you'll become badass" and here he is being a badass after learning karate
Finally! This episode was insane. Season 4 currently being filmed.. it can’t come soon enough.

I understand why Robbie stayed by kreeses side. Everyone else in Robbies life wronged him in some way. Robbie has just got a lot of anger in him that is due to other peoples actions.
Yes, Daniel wronged him, but he fought like hell to give Robby a second chance and a halfway decent life. But Daniel did not betray Robby.
@@katemaloney4296 I disagree Daniel was always so quick to turn against Robby and throw Johnny's mistakes onto Robby claiming that he was like Johnny.. you can't say that stuff to a kid it'll affect them and they'll believe it & Daniel is way too hot-headed at times and Johnny is a coward who doesn't give Robby the time he deserves cuz he's scared to face his past mistakes so he rather spend all his time wit Miguel that's how I interpret it
I can't believe you made it through this 97 1/2 year journey to the end of Cobra Kai season 3. Great reaction, love the enthusiasm. This is a solid series that I would recommend to others. To me, it does have some over the top moments , but it delivers so much of that in a campy fun way and not a bad cheesy way. That's what makes it work.
I binged this whole season the very first night it premiered and I have been waiting for this moment.

But with Cobra Kai it just seems to get those extra percentages. Maybe it's because you have a personal relation to the old films, as well as present day martial arts experience! Only a full-blown sensei can take out another full-blown sensei. Daniel has finally come into his own. Now it's time to get Johnny up to that level.

Great reaction guys. Just want to make one comment regarding what you said Nikki. You said the words _please honk the nose. I take it you were jokingly saying that. There was only one of two outcomes there Daniel was either going to kill kreese or knock him out leaving him unconscious. Any other action would have been out of place & would have cheated the fans of the show. Great to see the two dojo's become one. No more eagle fang thank god.
Why is this show good, you ask? Because during one of the most unbelievable yet satisfying fight scenes- inside someone’s house no less- they make sure to overlay the scene with Mannheim steamroller type Christmas music. Epic.
Steven- love your complete and utter enthusiasm for this show man.

This episode was crazy. Everyone was legit out to murder anyone and everyone. First Johnny to Kreese, then Kreese to Johnny, THEN KREESE to Daniel and then Daniel to Kreese- like seriously wtf would have happened had any of those scenarios played out had not anyone intervened in the right time?!

Johnny is inlove for the first time since Ali..ok, there's the sweet part of his story. Now, here's a couple of other things to think about:
If Barnes comes back with Silver, that's 3 guys against Daniel and Johnny, so it looks like we need a 3rd: Chozen. Bring back Chozen to train Daniel and Johnny a little more. THAT would be epic.

If we are going to see Mike Barnes, I think it should be a 1-2 episode thing. I want the focus to be on Kreese and Silver as the big bads, because although seeing Barnes would be cool, he is not as interesting in my opinion.
Also, maybe it's just me, but I would actually be more excited to see Johnny fight Mike than to see a rematch between Daniel and Mike. The reason being that Mike and Johnny were similar characters, and I think Mike is what Johnny would have ended up like if the events of KK1 hadn't taken place. So seeing them fight all these years later could be like Johnny fighting an alternate version of himself that became a completely merciless asshole.

@@wizbs2002 read up. Several Cobra Kai interviews/articles say it's been discussed wirh the actor who plays Chozen (who lives in California) and he's willing to come back.

As for the finale I have to say I'm so glad they didn't do what we all were expecting and have ali be in a love triangle and mess up Johnny's relationship chance with Miguel's mom. They surprised me in a good way. But Mark my words those pics they took at the golf and stuff will come back to haunt him when they are posted on Facebook. That song at the end was perfect with the big team up moment. Now the kids will both have some myagi do karate defensive moves mixed with eagle fang offensive moves. They will be so strong

I feel bad for Robby, he's suffered through a lot, and is misguided. But I hope in season 4 we have him and Miguel becoming friends and relating to each other.
F that. Robbie has hard life but he was a shit kid from day 1. I hope Miguel pounds him in tourney. If Robbie gives up on kreese learns lesson ok but def don’t want him to win shit. Miguel is the best person and best fighter should stay that way. Johnny said he could be better than him even.

I love how Eli finally redeemed himself realizing all the horrible things he's done and I love how Johnny finally calls Daniel by his real name. And I believe that everyone might re learn karate from Daniel the right karate. And Mike barnes will return because think about he's Torys dad it makes sense and will come together now you guys may be wondering well how is he her dad well she has her mom's last name but he's her dad just like Robby's last name is Keene he has his mom's last name.

Like how we have 2 different styles joining together and training against the single minded and straight forward "seek and destroy". Just hope we dont lose any characters next season. Also, would be cool to have Chozen as a sensei as well.
The fight in Sam's house is in a way a very good call back to the first movie cause it's a Larusso vs Kobra Kai in a skeleton shirt like when Johnny and the others beat Daniel up on Haloween in the first movie which I find very cool as specially how they found a way to modernize it with it only being a sweatshirt instead of a costume. God I love this show and the things they did with it as well.
I love how they ended it though with Daniel and Johnny standing side by side finally.
In this episode I really hated Kyler more than in Season 1. I can't wait for Season 4😫
