Why? These are depopulation people who are destroying your country. Charles is head of the WEF. READ UP. They care NOTHING for the public at all and put on games.
Ive had 3 abdominal surgeries ages 43, 47, and 61, and you are very sore. No matter how you move it affects abdominal muscles. With each of mine it was a10-14 day hospital stay and a 10-14 weeks home recooperating. It is needed. She will be fine! She will follow Drs orders! Many prayers and wishes and being sent to her and physicians!😊❤😊❤😊❤
Yours is the most mature and intelligent comment I've seen on this site. What stands out is that you're not moaning about having 3 operations. Thank you
She can rest in her home if it is not serious...you see she is rich..definitely she can have personal caretaker at home..unless there is a really need her to be monitored
I had a small bowel blockage and it required surgery. I was in the hospital for 10 days. No solids, no nothing but intravenous fluids. It took me six months before I started to feel normal again. Abdominal surgery is nothing to play with. It’s serious.
But bowel blockages are not “elective“ surgeries that are being referred to in Palace statements. Somebody in the Palace does not know what they are talking about. The Palace just assumes the public is mostly stupid. They base their presumptions on the stupefied tourists wandering around London on a daily basis. 😂😂😂
I found out I have some type of bulging inside my bowel. How hard is it after the surgery? I’ve had my gallbladder removed and laparoscopy and DNC’s and lumps removed out my breast and a lump remove out my arm and my leg wisdom teeth removed tonsils removed. so I’ve been through the motions of surgery. But this one here about the bowel it scares the crap out of me.
She is getting the recovery time in hospital and at home necessary after surgery. We should all have this. The hospital system boots us out too soon. A speedy recovery to Princess Catherine and everyone recovering from illness 🙏
She is at a private hospital not a state hospital like peons would be. State care, she would be waiting months for surgery like the rest of us. She'll be fine unless it is cancer.
@edwinascantlebury7353 my take on this is that Catherine went to hospital for what seemed at the time a routine procedure,I think it was then they realised it was more serious than previously thought, hence the sudden announcement of the operation 2 weeks in hospital 4 months to recover.
Princess of Wales privacy needs to seriously be respected. There shouldn’t be any kind of speculation on a woman’s health issues!! Period. There is no blurring lines in respecting her medical privacy.
I thought this was bizarre too…are the royals personal health issues always discussed and debated in depth like this in the UK media? Imagine turning on the news and people are debating on whether you’ll be experiencing painful urination or not lol yikes
@@helenscoffield Well I would wonder, if you personally are so concerned about her privacy, why are you here watching others speculating on her health issues?
I went in for an outpatient procedure to remove my gastric LapBand and ended up staying in hospital for 8 days. The band had eroded through my stomach leaving a gaping hole. Infection set in at the port site and was reopened and drained. This surgery has been the worst medical event of my life. And it’s taking me a long time to return to normal. For once I wish the media and public would just leave her alone.
I went for the regular gastric bypass 20 years ago and I have been lucky enough to have maintained my weight at 125/130 lbs. The issue I have had is that I can't eat my problems anymore, so I have a psychiatrist and therapist. If I had known what I know now, maybe I would have received the mental health care I have now.
The “lap band” May be the reason for Kate’s surgery & can explain how she lost so much weight before her wedding. She has been stick thin since her wedding & she wasn’t stick thin during the time she was dating & fighting, then making up & marrying William. The lap band intended to slow & cut down her food intake, could be eroding her stomach. Prayers to the princess!
Honestly even if you have a hysterectomy you are out of action for weeks whatever is wrong with the Princess of Wales is her business and should be given the privacy the Princess deserves and doesn’t return until there is a full health clearance 💙🙏💙🙏💙 Wishing both the King and the Princess a full recovery 💙🙏💙🙏💙
Agree with you 100% Hope she is OK. She deserves respect from everyone, especially ginge and whinge! They should stop all the lies and manipulation and go away and shut up !
@libbyclement5148 I respectfully disagree. Her hoohoo, though once a commoner's hoohoo, has been tainted by splash of the Royal seed and is now itself a Royal Hoohoo. As such, the Royal Hoohoo's business is now everyone's business, regardless of who(hoo!) may ask
I had major abdominal surgery last year and stayed for 14 days in NHS hospital. 40 staples, drains etc, wound treatments, physios, then 3 month recovery at home. Leave the lady alone.
I had a major abdominal surgery and was told 10+ days in hospital but was able to be released earlier due to not having any other duties to look after once I was home. Literally no worries but myself once home. which you so know Catherine won’t want to not be included in her Childrens activities once she’s home which is most likely why she’s being kept in.
I wish people would stop speculating what her procedure was. She’s asked for privacy. Please let’s just give it to her. Let’s just pray for a speedy recovery for her, and the King.
It's interesting to speculate and read others speculations and it's not hurting anyone. Maybe chill out a bit and go have a few beers or smoke some weed, do you really think she or her husband give two hoots about what random people on the internet are saying? I don't think so somehow.
Excuse me but it was the Palace that told us that she was going into hospital for an operation, nobody would have know otherwise..it's natural for people to know the reason why. They told us it was prostate for king charles but nothing for kate.
I had major abdominal surgery at her same age and having had four children. The surgery took 7 hours. I had an older lady friend tell me after she'd had the surgery, it took her a year to feel right again, this was also my experience. Everyone should give her time and space. Recovery takes what it takes, she should not press herself to get back to her previous schedule. All the best to her and the family, and prayers for feeling better soon.
It depends what the surgery was, though. I've had multiple abdominal surgeries. The one that required the longest hospital stay with the most complications was my hysterectomy. It also took me a good year or so to feel human again. I've never, ever seen any thing close to a bloated abdomen on Catherine. Generally, gynecological issues come with visible inflammation. I do NOT believe this was "planned" per se. At all. "Planned" could mean 5 mins before! I think it was relatively sudden & she probably had complications, even excessive blood loss? Will we ever really know?
It’s been almost a year since my abdominal surgery last February and I still recuperating from it . I stayed a week at the hospital then was send home for the recuperation post surgery . Doctors recommended not lifting heavy loads more than five pounds . It was painful. I had a great Army surgeon and doctors who were right on top of my recuperating time and many appointments after the surgery . The Princess has the best of doctors and she’s young and healthy and that’s a huge difference from recuperating from abdominal surgery. Sending my prayers for Catherine, Princess of Wales- for healing and full speedy recovery from the surgery .
I also wish Her Royal Highness, Catherine, Princess of Wales, the Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn, Duchess of Cornwall, Baroness of Carrickfergus, Duchess of Rothesay, Countess of Chester a speedy recovery!!
@westminsterstalker5152 I just hope it wasn't from an unclean vibrator. I would know. My wife tried using our daughter's vibrator and it got stinky "down there". We had talked to our daughter about her washing it after every use because so long as she lives under OUR roof, that vibrator is a communal vibrator. But to no avail.
Oh, come on! I had my gallbladder removed, and I should have stayed in the hospital for a week! Why are you speculating ( and of course for the worst!) about Princess Catherine’s health?! That’s so disgusting, she deserves her privacy. And if she has recovered, she may talk about what happened. Until that : it’s none of our business! So please, remember how your mother raised you ( or at least tried to) and care for your own!
I hope you're feeling better now. As for Princess Kate, she's unfortunately a public figure whose also a head of state, and a beloved one, so it's big news. Add in the fact that she's got what seems like a long hospital stay compared to what those of us in who aren't doctors, and people are going to worry and it will, sadly, be talked about and speculated upon, and reported as news until it's officially announced, if ever, that this is the reason she was in the hospital. Until then, this is news, although I suspect once she comes home and everyone can see that she's recovered from whatever it was, that will be the next big news. Is it nice to talk about people like that? No, and unfortunately, as a public figure, she will be talked about- good or bad.
She asked for privacy and not to scare her kids. Why are the headlines sounding worse than it may have been? Give the lady a break and let her get better.
@@Diametricallyopposed00 Exactly. And why did Sarah even mention Harry when Anne and Edward were added as COS to avoid Harry? This was all about sensationalism.
Prayers for a full recovery and a swift recuperation for both King Charles and Catherine, Princess of Wales. Praying for the children and Prince William also as they struggle with worry for both their Grandfather and their mother.
As a former nurse, a two week stay in hospital with a long recovery period isn’t unusual after abdominal surgery. Also, it would be more interesting to hear from specialists in this field rather than generalists. Additionally, it’s not as though there aren’t other members of the royal family who could pick up the slack if possible here: I think it’s entirely fair that families want to be together especially following major surgery. That plus Piers showing his ignorance for clicks and shock value. Plus knowing what I know as a former scrub nurse, not all abdo procedures can be done laparoscopically. The end. Plus - big difference between these procedures. MASSIVE.
Keeping her in hospital is probably the best way to preserve her and the family's privacy, receive a higher level of care, engage in any needed physiotherapy, and heal. For most of us, post-surgery involves going back for visits, sending someone out for Rx, going to physical therapy. Keeping her in, means not having to run back and forth and avoids sending in traveling nurses or other staff into their house, maintaining their privacy.
Buckingham palace have modern theatre doctors and nurses everything you need for medical care even catherins own blood if needed they have to give blood before any travels.....it makes you wonder if she is in buck house privacy there...where ever she is tonight will be worse night of her life i pray she gets good pain relief
I really wish HRH Princess of Wales a speedy recovery. I also commend HRH King Charles III for sharing and encouraging men to seek help. That's very brave.
The Princess deserves privacy over her healthcare. As it is her life is an open book for everything she does. May she take all the time she needs to recover. Leave her alone!
I agree the public should leave them alone, stop praying for these heathens, and in return they should leave the Brit’s tax money alone. Until then we have the right to know and say whatever we please about them.
12 weeks recovery from a 3 hour proposed surgery, to a seven hour open abdominal surgery. Just healed, but couldn't afford not to go back to work. Recovery takes a lot out of you
She’s lucky she has plenty of staff to do the work that the rest of us can’t avoid when we are trying to recover from surgery. For us, it’s back to work & most of us do a lot more than smile, unveil plaques & cut ribbons at openings.
@@pamb4105 I’m only saying that she has a boat load of staff at her Beck & Call. In comparison to women who also have jobs & need to go back to work asap. It’s not as if the princess has a heavy work load. The RF shows up, smiles & waves. Why would she not be on duty until after Easter? It’s very much in the interest of the people to understand the situation.
I wish people would stop speculating on what happened to Catherine, if it's like woman's trouble don't you think it should be private???? I do wish them both a speedy recovery back to normal life as soon as possible. God Bless Them.
Well the citizens taxes help keep the royal family afloat, So I guess they have some right to know wtf is going on. Unless of course they want to disband the royals and lead a normal life then they can have privacy.
Her life is also very public. Pregnancies are announced, the babies are "presented" to the public, so yes, we the public are worried. Princess Eugenie shared her back surgery scar, she said, so others see that everyone has problems, and can get better, even Royals. If this is something Catherine can share with other women who might be frightened at the prospect of having the same happen to them, then sharing information, at some point in the future, would not be a bad thing. That IS up to Catherine though. I personally wish they would give us a clue though, because I don't like worrying. Knowing might put people's minds at ease.
As an American I feel Catherine has a right to her privacy. She and her husband do not owe the taxpayers anything more than she is comfortable sharing.
Same. Still, I'm very relieved that the Palace announced Catherine's operation was planned. Even if there was only a few hours' notice, it shows serious consideration (as opposed to a worse-case scenario of an emergency because of an accident or attack). Absolutely looking forward to seeing the Princess of Wales' irrepressible smile again. Go well, Your Royal Highness 🙃
One of my friends had abdominal surgery to repair a large umbilical hernia, and it took almost a month for her to recover. She told me the pain was worse than having a baby. In the case with Princess Catherine, again, it takes a while to recover from surgery depending on what it is. There's a difference between a laser laparoscopic procedure and surgery.
This isn't a fast recovery, due to It's in the abdomen and recovery is slower because your movements Have to be carefully taken and slow...adhesions can happen which can affect Recovery, quite Painful and cause adhesions And need to be removed. SO MOVEMENTS are slower on purpose.
I highly doubt they care about anything to do with JESUS or GOD …Read up on her GLOBOLIST Pro Depopulation Father in Law 👿 Demons the whole lot of them.
Any abdominal surgery you have to rest, not pick up heavy objects as you need to prevent a hernia. The internal muscles have to heal to keep the small bowel within the abdominal cavity. They are taking good care of Catherine
I agree 💯 with you. 20 years ago I had major abdominal surgery which the doctors recommended 6 months recovery time and I spent 10 days in hospital. Being young and naïve I disregarded their advice, didn't take adequate rest etc and today 20 years later I am suffering the consequences of not allowing my body the care and time it needed to heal properly. I know Catherine won't be as foolhardy as I was.
No matter what she had done, any surgery takes time to recover from. To many doctors rush patients in and out. It’s like an assembly line in hospitals now a days. My daughter had major surgery and they sent her home the same day and told her how to care for herself. We should all get th care this lady is getting.
I agree. Its great that many procedures are outpatent these days.. but I think a lot based on cost. Insurance companies in the united states push for shorter recuperation periods cause they don't want to pay. Granted.. Hospitals sometimes are dangerous places to be with regards to infections etc... so.
It's not the doctors or the hospitals. It's the insurance companies. Unfortunately they have all the power & can order you kicked out of the hospital not matter what your doctor prescribes. Kate is lucky. The rules don't apply to her.
I had laser liposuction and skin removal on the 8th of Jan. I have an incision hip bone to hip bone, roughly 90 stitches. I was out of the office 30 minutes from getting off the surgical table. Even paying privately, they move you like cattle.
Any abdominal surgery is major. At roughly the same age as Princess Catherine I underwent “abdominal surgery” which knocked the stuffing out of me. I have an idea what she may have undergone but it’s nobody’s business
I agree with you, I think I may have had a similar procedure as you but it was 20 years ago when I was 45 and even though I was determined not to let it knock me out of action it did. 20 years ago the recovery time was actually stated as 6 months. But for the sake of her YOUNG children if for no other reason she should be awarded the privacy she requested.
She has a whole team of people ready at hand 365 days a year to care for her every need, and more then enough money to afford her all the time she needs to recover. Meanwhile the rest of us regular people who have real jobs and actually work hard to sustain a basic living are the ones who struggle when hit with a medical crisis.
@@lilosnow1759what’s your problem with that? All rich people have better medical care than us regular folks. Since the beginning of time it’s been this way. Why does this one case bother you?
Funny but not really. I have an old friend who’s hard to endure at times due to the constant jealousy of others haha One of her main comebacks is when she says this in a loud voice. Well, Some Ppl Can Afford It!! It’s actually become pathetic bc she is so miserable , very unhappy even about the ppl she calls friends. Has five sisters and they all despise one another. What chides her the most is that all five are financially better off. Certainly not a happy camper, never will be, well maybe if she won the grand lottery😊 I’ve come to the conclusion some ppl are just born jealous of anyone who has more than them. They literally hate rich ppl. Yep , The world owes them more. It’s not fair, what about me?? Some Ppl Can Afford IT!! 😅. They’re just unhappy ppl.Ain’t nothing going to change that. Wishing our lovely Princess Catharine a speedy recovery. ❤️🙏
I agree! These news people have nothing else to report on so they speculate.. That can cause so much more anxiety that is needless. It's ridiculous and please stop going on and on saying the same things over and over. Changes nothing.
Major depression/ Marital breakdown /Divorce imminent . No "speculation" is needed . William has been with Rose since 2017... everyone in England has known this for years
Princess Catherine will be in my daily prayers. Hopefully she go through with successful operation. Speedy recovery is my hopes. Middleton as usual will give a hands for prince William to go through at this daunting times. 😢❤
I've had abdominal surgery, and in my case, I was in the hospital for two weeks, and then I was transferred to a hospital for patients who were healing from wounds. After a total of 36 days, I was finally home, and only because it was Christmas time and my husband offered to continue to dress the wound each day. (My other choice was a care assisted facility.) The wound dressing was quite specific, so we videotaped the nurse tending to the large cut in my stomach so that we could refer back to it, if necessary. (We never needed it!) Now, I don't know if Princess Catherine had the same sort of healing to do that I did, or if her surgery was laparoscopic (which makes cuts that are an inch or so wide). I've had that sort of surgery, as well, and it was much faster to heal from - maybe two weeks total. Any sort of surgery can take three months or so for the body to completely recover. I'm no doctor- just sharing from personal experience. I believe Princess Catherine's recovery timeline is completely within the bounds of normality! I'm not a bit concerned that anything has gone wrong. As in my case, the body takes time to heal!
Thank you for sharing your experience with us & glad you are doing well. Now reading your comment here it really does sound like Catherine is going through the same as you did. Best wishes to you aswell as our princess of Wales Catherine !! 👍
@@lealovesthesea True. I just find it all very strange. They say her operation was planned but why at the same time say she & William have cancelled all their engagements which should not of been made in the first place to cancel them knowing she was being admitted into hospital for whatever this major surgery is she has had done !!? All very odd. 🤨 Let's hope that no-one has managed to have getting into their home grounds After all, if a man can get into our late Queen Elizabeth's bedroom & sit on her bed & have a chat with her, then anything can happen especially with all security staff in every job here in the laughing stock of the world because they are USELESS & Lazy...😏
I was in hospital for one night when I had surgery to remove a 8cm cyst from my right ovary. I was rushed out of hospital because they were short of and in desperate need of beds. I was told I’ll need a follow up appointment to make sure I’m doing well in two months but I got nothing of the sort. Even calling the hospital to ask why the hospital haven’t sent me an appointment to be told I already attended it, which I know I hadn’t. I had to get on with the stress and pain from what I went through.
I can't believe these people are talking about private health issues of the Princess, seriously give her some privacy, no one needs to know why she is in hospital, her private business, gosh some people. I am sure she will be looked after well and will recover as she is strong and healthy.
Well said, she should be awarded the privacy she requested IF for no other reason but for that of her YOUNG children.....we all know how nasty school playgrounds can be ...even private ones

It gives Princess Catherine a good, perhaps generous, quality amount of time to recover stress-free. Prince William does a fine job of being a supportive husband and father. No one's business what her surgeries involved. Just best wishes for a smooth, speedy recovery.
I’ve had abdominal surgery that was neither cancerous nor gynecological at age 26 when I was in perfect health. I was in hospital for ten days. After many abdominal surgeries you need an NG tube and perhaps other drains. You cannot leave hospital until all the drains are removed. (While it’s possible to go home with certain drains in place, it can be upsetting for family members to tolerate and in Catherine’s case her children may find such tubes traumatizing.) An NG tube is extremely painful and the pain is usually alleviated through closely monitored opioids administered by nurses. The incision from the surgery is also quite painful. Not every surgery can be done through a laparoscope. I was also hospitalized for eight nights when a portion of my intestines narrowed severely. Again, an NG tube was required and luckily, after a week, the blockage resolved on its own. Abdominal surgeries are big deals: even without any cancer, removing any sort of benign mass is very tricky. We have no idea if the surgery also addressed any issues with her liver, kidneys, or pancreas. But speculating that something went wrong seems a bit reckless inasmuch as he has no insight into Catherine’s medical history. Nor should he or anyone else. I’m not sure where Piers found this “expert” but he wasn’t especially eloquent. He also knows nothing about anesthesia. Sedation is propophol alone. Ketamine is not always used and it’s an old school perfectly fine general anesthesia component. General Anesthesia means a patient is intubated and all breathing is controlled by the anesthesiologist and equipment that oxygenates the blood. For abdominal surgery it’s almost essential that the patient’s natural breathing is stopped by a paralytic agent that keeps the chest from moving up and down. A surgeon needs a sensation of all bodily functions while operating including breathing. That’s why the anesthesiologist for a major operation is vital. He or she ensures you are breathing mechanically and your blood stays saturated with oxygen.
I’ve had abdominal surgery over 25 times, including for cancer. The latest surgery was for a transplant. I know that different anesthesia has been used. This Dr. is a very well known, expert from New York. He is an excellent dr., knowledgeable about quite a few subjects.
Not necessarily gone wrong They just want her to be well recovered. I was in for 5 days but Im not the future queen of the UK. I was told to do nothing for 6 to 8 weeks which was impossible I think its just an over abundance iof caution because of who she is
No one stays in the hospital for 2 weeks these days for much of anything! If you have heart surgery, they kick you out in a couple days. If you have a baby, they kick you out in 1-2 days.
3 children isn't a lot either. She has the best at her side. Knock it off. Feel bad for regular people with no servants, cooks, personal nurses. Two weeks is not a big deal. I had abdominal surgery twice -first in 1986 at age 25 to remove huge dermoid cysts, that were only discovered to be benign after removal. Recovery took a minute, but my youth worked in my favor and I was walking in the hospital after a day or so. But at age 39 I had cysts, fibroids and endometriosis removed and recovery took a couple months, and any time I bent or touched my stomach I screamed in pain. I wish Princess Catherine the best. Try not to laugh-that hurts too!

The statement regarding the Princess of Wales states she requests privacy following her surgery. Why is this not being respected instead of speculation about what the surgery was for.
@AskAgainL8ter true its all a bit hypocritical. My annoyance with it is from these news outlets and the so called royal biographers like Ms Levin whining about how privacy should be respected, don't comment on Diana etc when that is how she makes her living. It's insane. As you say they chose to put a statement out knowing speculation etc would occur thus generating income and interest. They could have just said nothing about the surgery and only commented of asked by saying its private no comment.
I just had major abdominal surgery on Dec 29, yesterday was 3 weeks and let me tell ya it’s a hard recovery. Will be 6-8 weeks to returning to “normal” activities but it really takes about a year to fully recover. I stayed with my mom for two weeks as I needed help getting off the bed and other activities. @pamwalmsley1865 well with KC, someone else will have to take his place while he is under anesthesia. With PC, she had to cancel planned work engagements. It's appropriate to let the people know.
They use the tax payers money , I believe some of that goes on security which would be needed at the hospital, tax payers also pay for their luxury vacations so that makes it the public’s business
Because the public owns the royal family and they are required to know where their employee is. I’m not being silly but hoping it explains why they need to know.
The Wales' are very involved, hands on parents. I'm sure any kid would want to have their dad home if their mom was in the hospital. Just having her gone for 2 weeks could be pretty scarey.

At 38 weeks pregnant I had the procedure, was kept in Hospital for 10 days, told I couldn't drive for at least six weeks as I wouldn't be insured due to my having "major abdominal surgery" and not to lift anything or do too much physically for a couple of months. Appendicitis A burst appendix. A burst appendix, also called ruptured appendix, spreads infection throughout the abdomen, a condition called peritonitis. Possibly life-threatening, this condition requires immediate surgery to remove the appendix and clean the abdominal cavity. Appendicitis symptoms can be similar to those of other conditions that affect the abdomen, such as a stomach virus or an ovarian cyst. For this reason, it can be hard to tell if you have appendicitis. You’ll usually get antibiotics through a vein, at least for the first few days. You may need to receive hospital treatment for 10 to 14 days to ensure the infection is gone. It can take up to 6 weeks to fully recover from open surgery. Try not to lift anything heavy or participate in sports or other strenuous activities during this time. Your recovery will take longer if you have a drain inserted and shorter if you have a laparoscopic procedure.
I had major bowl surgery and was in hospital for 10 days. I was in recovery for three months. She is in good hands and I wish her all the best. Stop speculating and give the princess the privacy she has requested!
I advocate for a prostate cancer patient. This is so important as he will influence people to get checked. PC is a sneaky disease and men seem to dismiss symptoms, so go get checked. It can be nothing, or something common as in his case, or cancer. Knowledge is power.

Being mostly at home to support his wife and kids, with lots of staff available, does not make him unavailable if an important matter of state needs his attention. Let's not blow ridiculous alarm bells at that aspect. Wishing both Catherine and the King speedy and full recoveries.

We can speculate all we want to...I just pray that whatever she is going through is treatable and she has a speedy recovery. She's a beautiful person, inside and out...and William and the children need her back home.
Health privacy should be respected. Family and friends should not put pressure on the ones recovering, because of their constant inquires and curiosity. The Queen handled her public and private life very deftly and people respected that boundary.
Yeah, I had a friend that went in for *out patient surgery*, a 20 minute minor thing and she would have gone home an hour later........except the surgeon accidentally cut her bladder in half and they had to call in a specialist, wait for the gal to show up, and 6 hours later they *fixed* what they screwed up! 2 weeks after that she got to go home and was off work for 8 weeks! What ever the princess was in hospital for, I bet some one messed it up, complications ensued and now she's going to have a long convalescence! Prayers for her and the whole family!
A friend went in for "standard" hysterectomy but during the operation, her surgeon nicked a bowel - and didn't see it. A raging infection set in, so her 1-day stay turned into additional emergency surgery with two more weeks in hospital. It took her months to fully recover. Yes, there was an enormous lawsuit and the surgeon lost his license (his previous "oops" had been swept under the rug).
How is she amazing exactly? She’s never held a full time job. Before her marriage she worked a casual job buying accessories for the brand Jigsaw. She married up. I don’t understand how this makes her amazing. Everything she had was given to her. She’s not clawed her way out of poverty she’s not achieved anything other than marrying rich - so I honestly can’t understand your comment.
I think it's amazing how, when I speak to my doctor about anything, I can't pin him down on anything without further tests, but this doctor on TV can just list possibilities back to back without hesitation and without having seen the patient or performed a single test. It's almost like a living, breathing WebMD.
Don't be so silly (just kidding) doctors on TV aren't real doctors especially when they are on as Piers' guests. They are only there for sensationalism and to pull in the viewers. (My long winded way of saying you are 💯 correct)

I had a small bowel blockage and it required surgery. I was in the hospital for 10 days. No solids, no nothing but intravenous fluids. It took me six months before I started to feel normal again. Abdominal surgery is nothing to play with. It’s serious.
I also had a small bowel blockage, emergency surgery within 5 hours, in hospital 9 days, home with home health nurse visits, did fine at 54 y/o.
I had the same problem, but it was able to be fixed laparoscopically, basically like a gall bladder removal.
I was very lucky.
No it isn’t . I have been there. It’s also very painful for weeks.
It's none of our business. Let's wish her a successful recovery and lots of peaceful rest.

She is at a private hospital not a state hospital like peons would be. State care, she would be waiting months for surgery like the rest of us. She'll be fine unless it is cancer.

A good friend had gastric resection about 15 years and developed dumping syndrome of which she experiences to this day.
Ok so this is not Princess Catherine though
The “lap band” May be the reason for Kate’s surgery & can explain how she lost so much weight before her wedding. She has been stick thin since her wedding & she wasn’t stick thin during the time she was dating & fighting, then making up & marrying William. The lap band intended to slow & cut down her food intake, could be eroding her stomach. Prayers to the princess!

I worry about her
I had major abdominal surgery at her same age and having had four children.

I hope you're feeling better now. As for Princess Kate, she's unfortunately a public figure whose also a head of state, and a beloved one, so it's big news. Add in the fact that she's got what seems like a long hospital stay compared to what those of us in who aren't doctors, and people are going to worry and it will, sadly, be talked about and speculated upon, and reported as news until it's officially announced, if ever, that this is the reason she was in the hospital. Until then, this is news, although I suspect once she comes home and everyone can see that she's recovered from whatever it was, that will be the next big news.

Any abdominal surgery you have to rest, not pick up heavy objects as you need to prevent a hernia. The internal muscles have to heal to keep the small bowel within the abdominal cavity. They are taking good care of Catherine
The earlier reports were that it was for treatment for Endometriosis...
Exactly.
Granted.. Hospitals sometimes are dangerous places to be with regards to infections etc... so.
In the United States it is discharge people from the hospital the same day.

Praying from Canada healing blessings.
I've had abdominal surgery, and in my case, I was in the hospital for two weeks, and then I was transferred to a hospital for patients who were healing from wounds. After a total of 36 days, I was finally home, and only because it was Christmas time and my husband offered to continue to dress the wound each day. (My other choice was a care assisted facility.)
The wound dressing was quite specific, so we videotaped the nurse tending to the large cut in my stomach so that we could refer back to it, if necessary. (We never needed it!)
Now, I don't know if Princess Catherine had the same sort of healing to do that I did, or if her surgery was laparoscopic (which makes cuts that are an inch or so wide).

Let's hope that no-one has managed to have getting into their home grounds

Agreed. Thank you.

I was told to do nothing for 6 to 8 weeks which was impossible I think its just an over abundance iof caution because of who she is
Almost 2 weeks in the hospital is extraordinary, though. Bean counters now "turf" patients before their drains and catheters are pulled.
No one stays in the hospital for 2 weeks these days for much of anything! If you have heart surgery, they kick you out in a couple days. If you have a baby, they kick you out in 1-2 days.
A prayer for Princess Catherine praying for your fast recovery 🙏

3 children isn't a lot either. She has the best at her side. Knock it off. Feel bad for regular people with no servants, cooks, personal nurses. Two weeks is not a big deal. How lovely
Same with sneezing and coughing.
Absolutely…..I caught a cold in hospital….put a pillow and hold it to help moving…..I was also 39 when had an emergency hysterectomy……best thing that ever happened to me. No more pain….i hope it’s nothing too serious…..she has I’m sure the Best Doctors….
True
The statement regarding the Princess of Wales states she requests privacy following her surgery. Why is this not being respected instead of speculation about what the surgery was for.
Because you don’t generate headlines and advertisement money by respecting privacy.
I am sending good thoughts to the Princess. She is in my prayers
Let’s give her privacy as she gets the rest she needs.

@shannondelp9898 yes....but I'm saying why should they have to announce in advance that they are having surgery.....did u watch the video?
@pamwalmsley1865 well with KC, someone else will have to take his place while he is under anesthesia. With PC, she had to cancel planned work engagements. It's appropriate to let the people know.
They use the tax payers money , I believe some of that goes on security which would be needed at the hospital, tax payers also pay for their luxury vacations so that makes it the public’s business
Because the public owns the royal family and they are required to know where their employee is. I’m not being silly but hoping it explains why they need to know.
Looking after thier children? Do me a favour like they dont have a nanny or two hanging around
The Wales' are very involved, hands on parents. I'm sure any kid would want to have their dad home if their mom was in the hospital. Just having her gone for 2 weeks could be pretty scarey.

Appendicitis
A burst appendix.

A friend went in for "standard" hysterectomy but during the operation, her surgeon nicked a bowel - and didn't see it.
