What Mike is describing is deep seated psychology he is describing a phenomenon in psychology termed as breakthrough and break down ideally for him to break through he needed to break down he needed to face his fears get in touch with his emotions frightening though they be with out which he could have continued to live in denial deceiving others but more so deceiving himself, he he was constantly surpressing his feelings attached to his trauma but by cry and realising these feelings he reduced the tension that was attached to these negative emotions/trauma some which may be from childhood unconsciously embedded in his mind he has now broken through by breaking down and on the journey of healing a book am currently reading intitled "the fear of life" by Alexander lowen puts what Mike Hill was going through into perspective.
Wow! Love it. I’m a female who will be 50 years old in 5 days. I was raised by a single dad along with my older sister and brother. Yes, my dad was amazing, however, he was quite the womanizer, which brings be to my thoughts all along. (Black) Boys/males were never thought how to be with just one woman & treating her like the Queen she is. Also, women not being thought what a real king. is. Not having more than one woman at a time did prove that you’re a true man. Now at 50 I’m now learning how to love me first before I can truly love anyone else. I am now realizing my fears, understanding my needs, my deal breakers, & my worth. These are some great conversations that I truly enjoy. Keep up the great work my Black Kings. ❤️

I let my 19 yr old daughter listen to the part of him speaking on his daughter about defining her relationship or the SHIP she is in. That was such valuable wisdom that I was so glad to share and most important glad that she would LISTEN. Thankful!!!
And having therapy sessions are good but never forgetting to communicate with your family about trauma about things that you've gone through it was only when I became a grown woman that I begin to understand why my father was so hard on his girls so protective we couldn't go anywhere unless we were in 4s ! I found out at the age of six he was molested by one of his mother's boyfriends and held off a building threatened if he told anyone that the guy would kill him and it makes sense to me now that I'm older his actions towards raising his children that communication with your children and certain loved ones can be a source of therapy as well instead of passing on a generational curses ! Awesome work Thank you 😌

This was a great conversation; very genuine and these two had a great connection and respect for each another. I WISH my dad had schooled me on the ways of men before I started dating. 1. Question: How does a Black man find an excellent therapist that really know how to dig deep inside him to bring out the best in him. 2. Alot of Black guys need therapy I agree with that hold hardly, but for the Black brother that doesnt have the funds due to therapy isnt cheap. So many Black Brothers have alot of issues and dont know why they do the things they do, they think it's normal to miss treat each other, women and themselves, they get upset when you try to tell them because it hurt. Truth Hurts. They lay it back on you, (Not just Black men, Black Women) it hurts because they equate therapy with being crazy and that's not necessarily the truth. Some ppl are crazy that go to therapy but alot arent crazy they just need someone to bring out some issues that need to be dealt with inside. But, some ppl try to lay it back on you when talk to them about therapy naw its you, you're crazy at that point. "Mike I agree Black Women need therapy also. Until we agree to Love ourselves how can we Love anybody else.

I'd just like to say thank you for touching on what manhood really means because truly a lot of us black men feel manly when we have different women but that in itself could be a trauma response.
Black men need to go to therapy and heal, so that we can have a better society.
