  • "J.S. Bach was a master of counterpoint, and is often known and praised for the intricacies and complexities of his music. This sonata shows a different side of the composer - a simpler side. In the E major flute sonata, we get to hear a less cerebral, and more human J.S. Bach. It begins with the simplest building block of music - a scale going up and down, and yet it is so special in its simplicity. This beautiful, gentle song is followed by a dance - full of energy and fun!"
    - Stephanie Morin, Assistant Principal Flute for the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
