Nice looking honda, its not as head turning as the fk8 , I think fk8 looks better and more sporty an brash which is good, this new one still looks good but more of a sleeper look about it, still very nice though, be nice in metallic grey colour 👌😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

As the owner of a modded FK8 which I’ve now had for four years, there is no justifiable reason why I would ‘upgrade’ to an FL5. £50k price tag is sickening. The FL5 is without a doubt a very nice machine but really if I was in the market for a Type R I’d be looking at second hand FK8s.

Some people want a more grown up look. I myself would never drive an fk8 cause of that reason.

@@jimmyvu7533 Meh, each to their own I suppose but I like my cars to look unique. I appreciate some people can’t get past the design of the FK8 but it’s a real shame as it’s a wonderful machine. The way I see it, life’s too short for me to care about what people think when they see the FK8 on the road. If banality is your thing why don’t you look at the FK8 model sans spoiler?

@highlander1518 i tend to personally agree. I’m not saying so much it shouldn’t be £50k as pricing is very different now on new cars full stop but it is pretty pricey. That’s the way I see it though, 30k for a very good facelifted FK8 and it’s within a micro fraction of the quality in general

@jimmy for sure the FK8 didn’t appeal to plenty where are this FL5 design is a much more “safe” a design for the masses. The FK8 was wild looking but for a hot hatch i personally did prefer it. This being said I like the FL5’s looks and I have no issues with it at all. Interior is a huge improvement on an already decent interior imo 🙌

I am the same though highlander personally, looks like a racecar for the road, wild but overall eye catching I think …. Not to everyone’s taste

It looks so ugly at the back not premium at all lol😂

I’m not a fan of the rear, I think most of the car looks more premium than ever though, we’re not talking BMW/Audi flagship levels but so much better than before

Best hatch lol? Maybe it was a best hatch in EK9 days. But in 2024 its a slow hatch. RS3, A45, Golf R piss all over this little honda

I never said it was hence the question mark in the title, I’m asking the question.
In a straight line yep no doubt, on track it’s probably the best overall hot hatch ever. Some good AWD cars have close the gap now mind.
I have a RS3 so I love them too, mines 500bhp and yep no doubt in a straight line no FL5 even tuned on the stock turbo would come mildly close

@@PeakPerformanceReviews Apologize for the remark, wasn't towards you. Just saying how new Honda dont really compete with the competition these days considering they actually were on of the best and fastes hatches back in their prime day. Thank you

No honestly I get what you’re saying and understood what you meant to get across for sure, I tend to agree.
Honda and others are getting to the top of the realms of what is possible for a FWD car tbh. AWD is needed for anything 400bhp+ I think now
