My books and videos are all grounded in what I actually do, I make sure you can see the evidence. For example if I suggest sowing carrots in November, take a look at my monthly tours to see them growing and my harvest videos for May to see the actual results. I'm not just about regurgitaing information from the backs of seed packets!
Just because all my resources are 'free of charge', to everyone, doesn't mean they aren't good quality. My objective is to make sure that there's no need to be rich to get access to great gardening information. I do however have a lot of costs to cover and my time is valuable to me, so please consider supporting me at www.buymeacoffee.com/steveric...
Nice harvest 😊
I have my first cherry tomatoes and cucumbers being harvested. I stay away from store bought produce, so this a fantastic time for me in the garden.
That’s fantastic, how did you manage that?
@SteveRichards I always try to get my seedlings started early, but this year I risked it and planted them about a month early. There was one day that got below freezing, but I covered them. Sometimes it pays to risk it.
@gardeningsimplified where are you growing?
@SteveRichards Henderson, Texas area.
Ah right, that’s explains it, quite a challenge to get ripe tomatoes in north west England at this time of year! : all the best - Steve
Beautiful table! I am more than ready for some fresh, tender courgettes. I do have broccoli, cabbage and lettuce but we are enduring ridiculous amounts of rain. It is so wet, my strawberries in containers are rotting. Very sad about that.
It’s finally dry here, which is good news for the garden and for me, as I’m having the house reroofed
I'm sure you've been asked before but who eats your crop? I've got a far smaller harvest but often have surplus for my family needs.
Ha … we never have a surplus, our local family get through it all for 10 months a year, for 2 months of spring we have a few friends that take the rest. I suppose it depends how much veg you eat, we have 2.5 meals a day, every day of the year : all the best - Steve
