GOAT CHEESE LOG WITH SUNDRIED TOMATOES
Serves 6
INGREDIENTS:
1 large goat cheese log
¼ cup sundried tomatoes in oil, sliced
1 tbsp Thyme, roughly chopped
2 ciabatta rolls, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
METHOD:
Brush olive oil on both sides of the ciabatta bread. Place on a sheet pan and broil for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Set aside.
Place goat cheese log on a plate, pour sundried tomatoes over top to drizzle down. Add thyme on top serve with ciabatta toasts
CHEATER ICE CREAMS AND STAR COOKIES
Serves 6
EGG NOG ICE CREAM
INGREDIENTS
1.5 QT French Vanilla Ice Cream
1 ½ tsp Rum Extract
¾ tsp Nutmeg
CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT CRUNCH
1.5 Qt Chocolate Ice Cream
1 cup Chopped Milk Chocolate Hazelnut Candy Bar
1 Cup Chopped Toblerone Candy Bar
A garnish of Chocolate Curls
METHOD:
Place soften ice cream and ingredients in a bowl, combine gently with a spoon or an electric mixer. Don't overmix or ice cream will liquify. Better to keep some of its volume. Transfer back into the container and freeze for 24-hours.

I watched your three easy appetizers which included your French Onion dip. I made and served it to our guests with the Kettle Chips you suggested. It was a huge success and I'll be making it again.
I also 'heard' your excellent suggestion of serving this dip in a small serving dish on a pedestal. I didn't have any BUT I have several beautiful small bowls and strangely I had just purchased from, Goodwill, four random pedestals. So I hot glued those pedestals to three bowls and a few people asked where is got those beautiful bowls.
Today, I hit the Goodwill again and found two pedestal small glass serving bowls and one glass bowl with feet. I'm in love with this elegant idea.

A little curious fact: in Brazil, Christmas dinner is actually Christmas' Eve dinner. On Christmas day we just lay back, eat leftovers and maybe do some barbecue (it's summer in December down here).
Same. We're in South Africa .
Same here in Spain (except the bbq, since it *is* winter here. But the big deal is the Christmas Eve dinner)

Out of curiosity -in Mexico, do you guys eat the grapes at midnight in NYE? In Spain we do, and I just remembered that one ep of Modern Family where Gloria, who's Colombian, gets really upset about that one tradition from her country that she wants to keep not being respected, which is how I learned that in USA they don't do it xD so now I'm curious how many Latin American countries do that. Got me wondering about Mexico since you do the same thing with Christmas Eve dinner...
@@RavenSutcliffe Yes, Raven, we do the 12 grapes at midnight thing. New year's eve dinner isn't as elaborate as Christmas. It's usually menudo or pozole. And the 1st day of the year, just like Christmas day, is just for resting and having leftovers.

There's no apostrophe in menus. It's a plural, not a contraction or an indication of possession.
For Christmas it's just my boyfriend and me this year and we are doing bolognese with handmade pasta and tiramisu for dessert. Can't wait!

It's so true Karen! So much can be done with just basic ingredients, it's always my favorite challenge to crack! Glad you like the decor ideas too. I'm actually thinking of incorporating a "decor element" into these menu shows after the game plan, for those who would like ideas on how to theme the decor to the menu :)
