g703 superlight would 100% be the endgame. I used the g403/g703 for about 3 years. just recently got a new g403 an im in the process of getting the weight down as much as I can without altering the look and no holes. swapping switches and encoder too + paracord.

Alongside the zowie EC2 and the logitech gpro wireless the G403/703 is the 3rd pick of choice for many FPS pro.Actually if I want a large ergo mice with no hole there is only the Deathadder V2. So I send it for a fix and they replaced my lmb switch, send it back to me and I was happy. 1 week after it came back fixed, the scroll wheel led just powered up on green color by itself(I always had leds off) and the power saving feature didn't worked which cause the battery to drain in 1 day instead of the usual full week.

I really love the shape of this mouse, is very comfortable for palm grip while browsing/working. I have the G403 and I'm seriously considering getting th G703 with some aftermarket skates. I still haven't gotten used to lighter mice (60 grams and lower), and while G403/703 is like 30 grams heavier I feel I have more stability and accuracy while aiming. I'm currently using the Deathadder V3 pro, but it's a whole different mouse. It certainly isn't a bad mouse, but perhaps I would still prefer a bit heavier mouse or something close to the G703 shape but a bit lighter. I think I'm also getting the pulsar xlite v3 (medium size) and see if it feels better for me.

[00:00] Hey there, boardzee! Thanks for this comprehensive review of the Logitech G703. It's always great to hear real user experiences. I've been considering upgrading my mouse, and your insights are super helpful. The fact that you got it for $57 on Prime Day is indeed a steal, and the value it offers for $80 is still impressive. I appreciate your thoughts on the click feel, side buttons, and shape suitability for different grips.
[03:01] Upgrading the stock feet and using it with a good mousepad seems to be a game-changer, and I'll definitely keep that in mind if I decide to go for the G703. Your mention of hand size is valuable information too. I'm somewhere in between, so it's good to know that this mouse might not be the best fit for smaller hands.
[06:47] I agree that Logitech's software can be a bit finicky at times, but it's good to hear that it doesn't overshadow the overall experience with the G703.
[07:16] Thanks again for the review, and I'm looking forward to your future reviews on other products. Keep up the great work, and I'll be sure to leave a like and subscribe! 😊👍

  • @nilesg75
    @nilesg75 Před 4 měsíci +1

I used this mouse for years. I deploy a palm grip with slightly angled fingertips, and this is the best mouse shape I could find after using the MX518 for a very long time. I never liked the scroll wheel though.
I tried some alternatives over the years, bought and returned many mice, but nothing ever felt superior in my hand. I was excited when Logitech announced the MX518 Legendary version, but was super disappointed with the update since the only improvement in my eyes was the sensor. The MX518 was the most form fitting mouse I've ever handled, but the shape feels a little dated and I literally cannot use a wired mouse anymore. Also gave the G502 X Lightspeed a chance, but just couldn't deal with some of the extra buttons, and while the shape was decent, it sometimes felt uncomfortable and unwieldy.
I've played FPS games on PC since MOHAA and CoD1, and I was one of those weirdos who loved a mouse with a lot of weight. Even with the G703, I would be the guy who put the 10g weight in the mouse to make it heavier. I like a lot of control, so I always thought I needed to really feel the mouse when zipping it around.
A few weeks ago I went to Best Buy to get my hands on some display mice and see if there was anything I wanted to try out. After checking a bunch of mice, I put my grip on the Deathadder V3 Pro. It really conformed to my hand and I liked the scroll wheel better than the G703. Even though the price was ridiculous (hard to find it much below MSRP), I went ahead and scooped one up and took it home.
I'll have to say, at first, the mouse was WAY too light for me, and while the shape felt great at the store, it's never the same as when you get home and put it on your desk and pad and start fragging. But I also had to remind myself that it was a huge difference in mouse weight and I needed to give it a few days. After a while, things felt more and more natural and I got used to the shape and weight of the mouse.
In comparison to the G703, my mid-palm sits farther back on the DaV3, but after some time I adjusted to this and got used to the hand placement. The real gamechanger for me was applying the supplied grip tape. EVERYTHING changed. Hand control got so much better, no more slipping or adjusting my grip.
I've been playing with the Deathadder V3 Pro for about a week now, and the lighter weight really does seem to improve my performance with fast-paced shooters. Putting the G703 on the pad and moving it around feels much too heavy now. The 30-40g difference is a BIG change, but I'm finally adapting and now prefer the lighter mouse (don't think I want anything lighter though).
Still, the G703 has an AMAZING shape for my palm grip, and if someday Logitech decides to quit d!cking around and make a superlight version, I'll be one of the first to buy one. For now, the DaV3 with grip tape is a measurable improvement and has proved to be a better option for me in FPS games.

im very late to this, but i just felt like watchin some reviews on this mouse since I've been using this model for 2 years. One thing to note, for a Heavy fingered large man, the scroll wheel lasted 3 months before it broke off its axis. but again, thats because I'm heavy fingered. but its an OUTSTANDING mouse. I left it on for 10 total days, used it for 5 hours each day before it finally rain out of battery. its battery is literally insane. GG FOLKS ENJOY

had this mouse for 2 years now, after less than a year it developed double click issues but i found a guy that specialized in switch replacement. he replaced them with GM 8.0s + tiger ice feet. it felt amazing after that, but i missed the sniper button from my old g402 so i picked up the g502 lightspeed brick and i’m loving it, just waiting for the dreaded double click issue again that plagues all of logitech’s wireless mice

I got a used white one on ebay and the scroll wheel ended up being defective (from factory I guess) and Logitech sent me a new lightspeed one even after telling them I got it used. Great mouse only needs to be slightly wider and a very small reduction in size on the right side.

As much as I love my DAV3 Pro, if Logitech ever cameout with a Superlight version of this it's over. This is by far my favorite shape on a mouse as I have decently sized hands to the point that ambi mice and more medium size mice are too small for me but too large and I can't use it. So this shape is perfect for me to claw or palm grip it, I'm just so used to a much light mouse now that unless something happened to my main mouse I couldn't go back to it.
