@@draken3793there will be. The Danish commentator gave a comment about it at some point, where he basically said something like ESC is too big to just cancel, especially in terms of money that will be lost in that event.
Hopefully the ebu will take some time to start fixing itself in the meantime though

Yeah! I don’t watch Eurovision but I heard it wasn’t very good this year. Although there are some sussy songs here, there are a few that are quite ok honestly! I’m glad not every song was bad.
Tbf, Olly Alexander had the ‘being gay for uk’ in his insta bio since announcement pretty much and promised a very gay performance.
Like my boy didn’t get points but he definitely delivered on his promises xD

Netherlands stuff was crazy, to think literally nothing happened and a running canditate for winner was disqualified over just that.
I'm not sure anymore it was "literally nothing". There was a police investigation about it, and according to the Swedish police's statements to the media there will very likely be charge. The crime they investigated was "illegal threat" loosely translated, so no physical contact for example, but it sounds serious anyway. But I do understand he was under very much pressure under the whole week plus under the situation itself, it's not too surprising someone would snap. HOWEVER I do think the DQ was an overreaction instead of a warning or a short ban. The very least they could have done was play the semifinal performance during the grand final

His song was my favourite and he seems like a great guy but we don't know yet what happened but what you said doesn't sound likely to me. We'll find out more later. I hope it turns out to have been something as little as you said.

@@TheOrian34 As I wrote in my first reply I have an idea of what the situation was like from his perspective (based on the statement by the Netherlands delegation). However, I'm not sure I could ever make serious threats like "olaga hot" (the title of the crime in Swedish, it means threatening to hurt someone or their property). But I've never been in a situation like that either so idk. So for me, of course the context makes it somewhat understandable, but to which degree, will depend on exactly what he said/did. If we ever find out for sure.
I do want to add that I of course consider him innocent until we know for sure. It just is a possibility that it will turn out that he isn't. We don't know yet

I never watched Eurovision before, but I heard there was a lot of not so great “songs” in it. It’s nice to know some of the people representing countries were fairly normal like Norway’s, but the Ireland one is so scary imo. The Switzerland one is definitely interesting to say the least, I don’t even know what performance that was but I didn’t like the few clips I saw.

Even if a few people did it, it wouldn't have affected the televote as much as you might think, considering the demographics of the televote. I've gathered a lot of people voted for Israel because 1) they just liked the song and couldnt care about politics or 2)they didnt like the way the israeli participant was being treated so they wanted to send a message.
Either way tbh people shouldnt be very upset, after all almost everyone was trying to boycott Israel themselves so... they were boycotting the boycott. lol
