- WHAT LEVEL DUNGEON & POTION KEEPS SHOULD I FARM? | Raid: Shadow Legends
Since patch 4.2 a lot of people are asking me where should I farm if I am able to farm higher level content? This video talks through the difference in drop rates of items for stage 20, 24, and 25 dungeons and goes into the drop rates for keeps! Lastly, we then look into the accuracy requirements for stages 21-25 dungeons compared to stage 20!

stage 20 potions keeps are amazing. Now if only they would do something about masteries...
For plarium it means "shooting yourself in the leg". People are buying masteries using gems. No reason to make them easier to farm
Agree with this, potion keeps 20 is excellent dungeons looks like I’ll be doing 24
@@kaysersoze6436 well, people were buying potions too right?
That doesn't mean that farming masteries isn't annoying.
☝️
Wow what a difference having lvl 20 for potions
Did 30 runs this morning got 43 superior happy days
Potions keeps are awesome now
Pure joy when you pull 4 superiors in a run... regularly!😄
They are probably going to find a new way to make it miserable again. I hope I am wrong.
@@ManOzzY yeah let’s hope not
they were on about a new way to ascend champs ... wonder if that's why they have made the current way easier - still sooo much better
This is an excellent breakdown! It is nice to see the macro effect of the extra 2-4 energy on tournament points. It's good to know that during tournaments, 20 is the way to go and every other time, 24 is the best option. The only affinity change between 20 and 24 is dragon, which is nice as well. My spider 20 team can basically stay intact with the swap of RG into Mordecai, leaving my clear times only about 20 seconds longer on 24. Thanks for the info!
Amazing info in this video! Very informative, much appreciation my dude! Im not up to stages 20 yet, BUT when i do, i know what to do now. Great video
HH: I'm really surprised the Acc/Res has not gone up from 20 to 25.
Plarium: Next patch we're raising Acc/Res.
I honestly think it was an oversight
Yip i can see a buff coming now, they changed hp, atk and affinity but now they will be super waves lol
@@HellHades Pretty stupid oversight. If/when they change it, the backlash will be swift and fierce lol.
And they'll add lesser potions back into the drop table in the lvl 20 potion keeps
@@willmannn OMG let's not give them any more bright ideas lol.
As always, very informative with a great presentation.
Awesome presentation! Thanks to the brains behind the data!!!!
Good job on getting the word out. Now let's see Plarium's reaction when no one runs stage 25...
They will nerf drop from lower levels...
Nerf 20
@@anatolybarynin3627 They can't, otherwise stages 21-24 would be the same drop rate as stage 20, and there is no way they will nerf stage 20. The way I see it, stages 21-25 are a way for you to choose which affinity suits you better. The only reason you would run stage 25 instead of 24 is if the affinity is better for you, that's it, I see no other reason to run 25. Stage 24 is the way to go.
the info in this video helped a lot and i shared ithem with my clan. thank you. :)
As always...spot on vid...great rundown
Thanks for the video now I know where to be more invested.
I think they forgot that 25 would cost 20 energy when making the drop rates
Finally! Cleared my mind on which dungeon level to farm! Thanks HH and the community who HELPED on releasing this valuable data! Hopefully Plarium won't nerf you guys XD
On the drop rates for the main dungeons, the discrepancy lies in the amount of runs. The sheet was based on the same amount of energy used, but to see the item spread properly you'd need to do the same number of runs to compare the drops in rarity and star value.
Fantastic work on the breakdowns tho! Thanks to all those involved and thanks HH for bringing us this useful information!
There are videos out there that present more detailed sheets that also contain breakdown per run (Ash has one of those), but IMHO it really doesn't matter, you'll want to farm where you get the most worth out of your energy. Really the most easy fix for that ridiculous Level 25 would be to lower the cost to 18 like the other levels. The increase in drop rate for top tier artefacts would still be rather small (and the average tournament point gain from Level 20 would still be slightly higher than 25), but the would at least be some incentive to farm 25. Right now, it is outright detrimental.
Useful and important information. Absolutely agree about the brew. That is little painful, when I get just one beer, and somewhere Uncle Scrooge McDuck is laughing at me...
Thanks for the video)
Efficiency focus. Thanks for the vid
Love it when you bring out videos like this. Showing the actual facts & data rather than just guessing. Big thanks to all the data boys & girls and big thanks to you for sharing this with the community.
Yes, the potions are great! This is a great quality of life change (I'm wasting for less time farming potions and it saves me a ton of silver because I don't have to up-mix potions). I don't look at these extra levels as "new" content so much as different options based on my needs and level of progression in the game.
Thanks for sharing the great info.
They are doing this with the potions because they are making ready for us to move to the 'next ascension mechanic' they talked about. people can't engage in the new mechanic (and potentially spend money) if they cant afford to ascend their existing champs as easy or fast.
25 has higher drop rates, but the added cost cancels it out compared to 24. And for one that already used a HP burn strat the time difference isn't very big. :)
Very good video!
I hope they add more levels to Minotaur dungeon as well since it takes eons to farm all masteries for one character.
I use gems for masteries because youre right it takes FOREVER!
@@grimeyaf4768 same got full masteries for more than 10champs with gems only as F2P
Doing 4 at the same time is a torturous experience
This is actually how it should be. I am happy with this. 25 should be only for super endgame people who are only interrested in 6 star legendary pieces (sacrificing event points, energy and time). Regular farm and events should be balanced around lvl 20. I'm pleasantly surprised with Plarium this time around. It's Nightmare campaign and it's a good thing. And last few levels should have neglegible difference in loot so people could chose what to farm depending on affinity they prefer and wave mobs they prefer.
Nah, I'm ok with the others but stage 25 is badly tuned, if you want gear stage 24 is still better than 25. A 0.3 increase in 6* star legendary does in no way offset the amount of everything else you get from stage 24. In particular if you are an endgame player and you are only concerned about 6* gear then stage 24 is significantly better than 25, you will get a lot more epics and rares (and 6* rares are useful for endgame accounts) and virtually the same amount of legendaries. At the same time you get a small decrease in silver and event points by running stage 24 compared to 20, so 24 is definitely the way to go.
It's a 25% increased energy cost we should see 25% better drop rates!
Does anyone else remember when they made real games where you looted random item's from kills and could buy the gear you wanted to equip?
i loved those games :D
You mean like minesweeper?
@@Gurkenxaelz I mean pretty much every game made prior the the 21st century.
good old time...
Thanks, you made me feel old lol
I've been farming keeps like a madman each day. Because of the stage 15 rates I rarely fully ascended my 60's unless they would have a huge benefit from banner or amulet (RIP some support champs and most FW-only champs). I'm finally fully ascending all of my 60's and stocking up hundreds of superior potions. One good thing to note is that the bosses in the keeps seem to still take full damage from enemy max HP so I've been running my Seer with all of my teams and it is going so fast.
I personally liked the new keeps, earlier I needed to farm like crazy just to ascend epic, let alone leggos but after the launch of new keeps, I was able to ascend considerable champs especially leggos within a few hours
loved the comments on brews and mystery shards. we should spam Plarium's suggestion page on discord with this recommendation.
@hellhades if you don't have abetter freeze champ, is it a good option to pull crypt king graal out of the vault to go after ignatious with 2 cold hearts and a renegade???
Super helpful as always. I'll stick with 20 for now, I'm sure the new missions down the road will require to beat Level 25 at some point though.
I really hope they change something about 25 because lower stages shouldnt be more efficient
I'm pretty sure this isn't new, I think 16 is better than 17 and 11 is better than 12 for dungeon farming.
It's incredible they can release 5 more levels of spider and deliberately not address the silver situation...
Anyone know where I can find this sheet?
Oh boy the greatest question of them all ESPECIALLY for newer players like me where should we farm the amount I have to farm for rank 6 Vergis leveling thralls etc is still obnoxious as hell right now forget my new Kael account where I have to farm for Rank 5 Kael and to improve my Bloat Wraith I just got to complement my Kael.
Hey HH, the Ashes of Creation content creator programme is live. I would love to see you hop on board there and produce more Ashes content!
Could you possibly make a video breaking down some of the lower floors also.
On the potions 20 boon, now just waiting for the other foot to fall from Plarium.
Depending on what potions I am farming for, because I tend to hit keeps in order to feed the current champion of interest I either farm 19 or 20 in potion keeps
They need to add a dungeon for farming books
thats what the tournament end events are for man ... just pay that extra money for the refills 4Head
I’m most excited about the potion keeps they are INSANE now
Farm them hard before they nerf it by adding lesser potions back in
@@willmannn oh yes indeed. Probably gonna drop like 1000 energy in each keep this week lmao
I find calming that I don't get those unless small pots which took a ton of sliver to mix. Now ascending, especially legos are drastically easier, and we don't have to farm thousands of small pot.
Awesome know bud 👍
Would be nice to see a comparison factoring in food farming. For example If I can solo stage 20 and 24 would the better gear on 24 out way the loss of xp?
I did the math, if you can do a 4-man 24, it is equivalent to a solo 20 in terms of energy efficiency. Anything better than that just improves your efficiency.
thx!
Surely they can see what dungeons people will actually do? Like stats on those who have completed 25 and what gets farmed. Have they considered how important great hall is for these stages? With a still broken arena as the only way to build it
One analysis I haven't seen anyone else do is including the XP farming if you can run a solo or duo comp. I did the math yesterday and there are tradeoffs. It's hard to condense into a comment, but I can send you my table if you'd like. Long story short if you care about xp and artifacts equally, then a 4-man 24 is equivalent to a solo 20 in terms of energy efficiency.
thanks
looks like they havent really thought through the drop rates and stat changes on 25 Dungeon. Either the concept/straetgy team is faster than the dev team or they realised that even end game accounts wont beat the dungeon 25s if they change the stats and decided to leave as is. hope they balance the 25 drop. Great content HH
Stage 15 is best if you need a lot of small affinity potions (e.g. small green potions) & you only need a few medium potions.
My reasoning:
The upcoming Gnishak fusion requires us to ascend 16 spirit affinity rares + 2 spirit epics + 2 magic epics
Briggz5d's recent video says this requires 160 small green potions + 104 medium green potions + 12 big un's
Personally, I have enough medium but zero small.
Searching the Ayumilove website for 'drop rates' reveals a table of potion drop rates.
From this table, it's clear that stage 15 gives more small potions than the higher levels. The percentages are just better.
Calculating if stage 15 is better than stage 14 is a bit harder & requires some maths.
The table shows each stage has 3 parts. For example:
Part 1: stage 14 drops 6 small potions 28.75% of the time
Part 2: stage 14 drops 7 small potions 17.25% of the time
Part 3: stage 14 drops 8 small potions 11.5% of the time
Another example is:
Part 1: stage 15 drops 7 small potions 27.5% of the time.
Part 2: stage 15 drops 8 small potions 16.5% of the time.
Part 3: Stage 15 drops 9 small potions 11% of the time
Let's compare stage 14's part 1 with stage 15's part 1
Stage 14 drops 6 small potions 28.75% of the time. After 100 runs, this will give 6 x 28.75 = 172.5 small potions on average
Stage 15 drops 7 small potions 27.5% of the time. After 100 runs this will give 7 x 27.5 = 192.5 small potions on average
Therefore stage 15's part 1 is better.
Next compare stage 14's part 2 with stage 15's part 2
Then compare stage 14's part 3 with stage 15's part 3
Does stage 14 ever win?
(Answer: no)
I have had 2x quad speed rolls in the last week. 1 on a 6☆ relentless shield (27speed) and the other on a 5☆ Immortal shield (21speed)
In the same week, got 4 sacred shards from 5 days in NM CB.
Also pulled a Brogni the day after the fusion finished. Huge bonus as I wasn't able to fuse him. Life and all. That fusion would have been brutal!!
Time to buy a lotto ticket..... lol
But how many 4 speed rolls do you have on speed/divine speed sets?
@@KemosabeTBC none on a speed set yet. That would be the holy grail. Either way, 4 hits on speed is still 4 hits on speed on any useable set
@@ambernie131 It sure is. But HH was saying that he doesn't have a quad roll on a speed set. I personally have 3 quad speed rolls but also none on a speed set (perception, accuracy and crit damage sets). My best speed item is a 6* flat attack glove with triple speed roll and MAX from glyph. I have a few other triples but are 5*
For the drop rate table, I think it should be based off of number of runs rather then energy cause your doing over a 100 more runs on stage 24 to 25 so your almost guaranteed to get more purple and gold but might be wrong not sure??
I'm not end game and i've got to the point where im not even bothering with rank 5 gear because i'm simply never gonna have the silver to roll them up.
24 seems like the sweet spot for farming gear during DD and Tourny if you aren't trying to min/max every energy spent per tournament point. I'd rather double dip for higher quality gear and spend a few more energy.
I wish there were more videos out the for beginners. Lots of stuff for end game.
This is for people who are way higher and invested. I got a team power of 40k I can't do this lol. Nice information though for when I do get up there😀
Feels like Plarium changed something in the last day or two, at least for Dragon 24. I have been farming dragon 24 and winning almost 100 percent of the time. Yesterday and today with the same champions and no changes, I have been losing almost every battle.
At least they found a place to farm big potions consistently. For the big dungeons I don’t feel it’s worth the extra energy or the amount of time needed to complete each run.
You spend more energy for run on 25 lvl than on 24 lvl stage, so in mass farming count, you get less items in total (of everything), and the chance for 6-star gear is clearly not big enough to compensate the effort (so it appear you get almost the same, though that is almost the same for invested energy, but with 128 runs less ).
So the table is very clear in 3 things:
1. If you want to do tournaments and DD as quick as possible , it is obvious you should stick to 20th lvl stages. (For example, you need Ice Golem for fragment or something, but you could not care less for Golem artifacts...)
2. If you are interesting in tournament and DD points, but you also would like to get some good artifact out of farming, the stage 24 lvl is good compromise: you would get slightly less tournament and DD points (again, for the same energy, and not for the same number of runs), but you would get almost 60% more of the best artifact drops (6-star gold)
3. But if you don't care at all for tournament and DD points, and you just want exact type of artifact, stage 25 is the place, especially if your type of artifact appear under frenzy x2 chance.
P. S. Of course, there is a time issue also: if my run on stage 24 or 25 is 5-6 minutes long, and I can run for 1 to 2 minutes on stage 20, and have almost 3-5 runs for 1 on that higher level, than it is obvious choice - because, if I don't care for energy, gems etc and I just compare time of the runs and how much time I have free to play, I still can do x2 or x3 more runs on 20 lvl (and the chance for drops are not 200-300% higher on higher stages), and I would have significantly more chance for more everything for the same time on lvl 20 due to number of runs I can perform. An that is true for nightfarmers also. For example if they let autofarm for 10 hours, and they do stage 20 for 1 min, and stage 25 for 2 min, they would have 600 runs on lvl 20, and only 300 on 25, and total mass of drop simply nulls any chance improvement on higher levels. And if it is 3 min instead of 2 on 25 level, that becomes total disaster considering only invested time in the game...
Farming Spider24 all day before I saw this. Just quicker affinity for me. 🍻
Hello, could you plz share the spreadsheet you are showing on the video ? amazing job anyway thx
23040 is a 16*18*20*4.
And I don't think they coded it wrong. I think it is for ppl who care less about $.
The comparison is made for a fixed amount of energy, which resulted in fewer runs on 25 (1152) compared to 24 (1280 runs). And with 128 runs less, you are getting a very similar amount of 6* legendary gear.
If you do the same comparison for a fixed amount of runs, you will get quite much more 6* legendary gear. Just spend more energy and save time. If L6* is the only thing you need - lvl 25 is for you.
This is why the hype over the new update release needed to be tamped down. "Well, at least it is new content, so that's a positive." Yeah, not when it is broken new content. Meanwhile you are still waiting for them to correct previous mistakes and they create new problems you'll be waiting months or a year or more for them to correct.
I mean it seems pretty fundamental in design to me that if something is more difficult, costs more resources to do, that the rewards SHOULD BE BETTER!
Could they have boosted more discrete things, like maybe we get less flat stat main gear?
That would be a big deal which is less obvious
If you first have to think where to farm... it‘s not worth to consider a change ! Imo it should be obvious where to farm. ALL drops should be significantly better if the difficulty, energy and clear times increase.
I'm happy with the potion keeps, I'm mad about the minotaur, I'm lukewarm about level 25 dungeons.Oh and I'm also mad they didn't give us 250 renewable energy.
It's not weird really, it's expected. The top of each energy cost band is always more efficient than the bottom of the next band up. Stage 25 starts a new energy cost band so it's inherently inefficient.
for farming, do you do lvl 20,24,25 in any dungon?
its super funny, ive been farming stage 9 of every keep and keep getting 3-4 greater potions per run in 20 seconds. I did 70 runs and got 45 greaters(which i need), 10 superior and the rest lessers. This is pretty consistent like that. As we speak i ran 5 runs on 9 and got 3-4 greater potions per run xD
i farmed stage 25 spider my time is the 8 to 10 sec longer but i have to manual but i notice a SIGNIFICANT increase in the amount of Lego jewelry imo
i am 37-43 sec % but its manual on 25
Got a 6 star legendary banner ACC witn speed from lvl 25 spider while watching this.
Should probably put percent values in for the drop rates since they have different totals. There is a 12% chance to get a lego 6 star on 24 while 25 has a 13% chance. I don't think it is worth it but more info means better informed decisions.
Anyone know the speed of spiderlings on higher stages? Checked Hades site but it only gives main spiders speed.
What you're missing is that the number of dungeon runs differ. There should be a comparison between same number of runs instead of same energy.
I wish I could practice these stages to theorycraft without using energy for no rewards
I recalculated their numbers based on number of runs, rather than by energy consumed. If you don't care about using energy (or time), you see a notable uptick to higher value returns. The last column shows the relative change in % drop rate between level 20 and 25
Stage: 20 24 25 %change 20 vs 25
5* 49.0% 39.3% 37.2% -24.1%
5* 18.2% 20.9% 21.6% 19.22%
5* 5.4% 8.2% 8.8% 61.51%
6* 18.1% 17.7% 17.5% -3.44%
6* 6.7% 9.4% 10.2% 51.76%
6* 2.0% 3.7% 4.1% 105.6%
Silver 62,951 68,102 69,028 9.65%
is it still the same rate ? plz confirm it.
Thanks, so if I can farm spider 24 then I'll be good.
The ACC needed for lvl 25 dungeons was a surprise, I assume that I was going to need a massive regear, nice. The potions dungeons are amazing, I don't care if runs take longer, better drop per run is way better than faster runs with poor drops -those puny small potions... ¬_¬-.
stage 25: 500 energy gives a 6star legendary vs stage 20: 800 energy gives a 6 star legendary
Just started playing a few weeks ago and i'm getting sick of only getting minor potions when I need a number of greater or superior and using a days worth of energy not getting any and not getting enough to potion mix. I can only play the dungeon levels I can survive and when a champion is maxed out the next option is ascend
I am barley getting past 10 on most dungeons, I need to know which below 10are most worthwhile, not 12 - 15 which I can even unlock yet.
Up to stage one in NIghtmare, 3 star about half of Brutal
At 9:55 the "Raid Stages Tool" is no longer free on the website.
You just need to create an account and it's free mate.
The difference between 24 to 25 is actually quite big. About the same amount of 6star lego gear, but there is 128 run diffence between them. An that's the average of drop rate, so 25 would be more beneficial because you are taking 128 runs of variables out of the equation.
That makes no sense. The number of runs is irrelevant, you need to look at drops per energy spent, stage 24 gives you better drops, plain and simple.
Probably a higher chance of ancient shards in 25, that would make up for the reduced item counts.
As it stood before, farming spider 20 was better than farming potion keeps at 15 (silver wise was better than mixing pots). I wonder if farming 20 potion keeps is better now... it seems like it is.
They could add Forge materials. Like good ones.
please someone tell me how can i beat this bot ? i am on hard brutal level but i strugle to defeat her , should i use heal reduction ?
Mistake is that they put 20 energy for stage 25. Farming 25 would be probably best if it would cost 18 energy, just like stage 20 was 16 energy like stages before.
They need to double our max energy level
How do u get these random numbers explain
The keeps are really good now.
3:12 but Legendaries get 4 chances while Epics only get 3. so Legs only have to roll three 25% chances out of 4 attempts vs three 33% chances out of 3 attempts.
they gave such a huge boost to the potion keeps because they know they are bringing out the second ascenstion levels soon. I predict the grind is gonna be huge. Im not going to lie im a little worried about the new ascension plans.... the ammount of work needed to max out new champions is going to go wayyy up. Also the balance of the whole game could shift its too powerful. But the absoloute killer would be if they make it so u can use dupes to power up your champions.... that will be the death of raid.
Mysterie income might still be good for food and CvC tho
Being playing for about a month RSL has the best player community
Then again you have the chance element, or as I like to think developer greed when it is so noticeable when doing a competition they turn down the drop rates on Arcane potions? All day I farmed and got 476 lesser potions 28 greater and 1 superior. As I said it is chance ???
I think you're wrong when you say that an epic piece has more chances than a legendary to triple roll a substat. I was curious and did the maths some time ago, i came up with those numbers, maybe someone can confirm them? or correct me if i'm wrong.. Rare has 25% of double roll. Epic has 22.2% of double roll, 3.7% of triple roll. Legendary has 21% of double, 4.7% of triple and 0.4% of quad rolls. Now the advantage of epic vs legendary is that you only need to up them to lvl 12 to see if you get a triple roll, where you need the lvl 16 with a legendary to reach the 4.7% chance of a triple roll.
has anyone checked the exp from dungeons 25? I heard its the same as 20
Edit: Just checked and can confirm same EXP from both 20 and 25
i was hoping for a minotaur 20
Potions stage 20 it's awesome. Now I got so much Greater potions. Dungeons 25 sucks.
Should have kept 25 at 18 energy or really need to improve the drop rates
Level 20 potion keeps are an absolute god send! I've managed to get more superior potions in the last 2 days than I have since I've been playing. Next thing they need to add is a solution to the books and maybe give us a opportunity to change masteries, I've messed up so many champs through the wrong masteries
Umm, you can reset all the masteries and get the scrolls back, there is a reset button at the top of each skill tree. First two times for a champ is free I think, more times cost 150 gems, which isn't that much if you really messed up or need to change them to e.g. fit into a Clanboss Unkillable team. It just prevents us from switching back and forth for different tasks regularly. (Don't know if there is a max limit of reset beyond which it doesn't work anymore or costs become prohibitive, but really, how many times can you screw up?)
@@chrisrudolf9839 wait seriously!? Been playing for a year and a half now and had no idea! This is gonna help me in so many areas
Can we PLEASE get a speed run guide for these dungeons? I love farming the stage 20potion dungeons but at 3minutes a piece I just want to not do it.
Forgot to say, without the double Kymar or 1 kymar teams. Just can't get them.
