My fence looked all raggedy like yours, quick power wash, let it dry, then I sprayed it with sealer, looks good as new now
Came out nice .. Baby gyrl too cute! I have the same gate kit, watch out for rust, that cable rusts pretty quick. And the powder coat parts peals after a couple years too. Little preventative maintenance and you’ll be ok.

Looks great to me, hit those other panels with a power washer and they may clean up a bit. One thing you could do at the top and bottom to keep the gate panels together when closed is to add a couple slide latches found at any hardware store. That way you would have your locking center latch in the middle and a couple slides for support or like you mentioned just get another ground rod mount like the other side. Good job though, I too hate wood working.

Gates look good, I made one for my patio but just used an angle 2x4 to keep it from sagging. Either I was too cheap, too dumb or just didn’t know they made those kits like you bought. If you redo the rest of the fence don’t do what my dumbass did and just screw the horizontals on the fence panels to the 2x4 posts. Now mine are all sagging and look like ass. They make brackets that a 2x4 will sit into that mail into the sides of your posts, then you can screw the fence panel to the 2x4 and support it all the way across. I build roads not fences so I didn’t know any better🤷🏼♂️ Keep it up, it’s always a fun watch👍🏻🇺🇸

Pressure wash that fence then spray it with water seal. Then it will match and last longer

Does the gate open both directions or only in?
It does. But it doesn’t open as wide. You can see where I drilled those holes in the post that the gate hangs on. They are closer to one edge then the other. Directions said to do that. If I would have centered the holes then the gate would prob open both ways better. But as it is it can open plenty wide both directions for what I need. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
