Small Fiber Neuropathy

The complex field of neuropathy can be challenging for any neurologist, but add on to that the recent discoveries related to small-fiber neuropathy and the growing incidence of autoimmune etiology and it can quickly become overwhelming. This “Specialty Testing” webinar will discuss the considerations physicians must weigh when evaluating suspected neuropathy patients, with special emphasis on small-fiber neuropathy and the most appropriate laboratory testing related to that phenotype. Understanding the clinical features and being able to identify the potential comorbidities associated with this rare but increasing disease can prevent delays in diagnosis. Furthermore, understanding the diagnostic potential and limitations of associated laboratory testing will assist clinicians with test interpretation.
