      Lebron fan here and never considered that he was better than Steph. I always said he was a better dribbler than Steph. But before the trade I have maintained that he has about the 8th best point guard in the NBA. Not the 8th best player.. The 8th best point guard. Steph, Harden, Westbrook, Wall, CP3, IT, Lillard, and Kemba. All those guards made it to the playoffs at one point with not much help. What does kyrie do in the 30+ games when Lebron sits out?? What does kyrie do when Lebron is on the bench and he is playing against the 2nd team?? What has he did he do before Lebron came?? Oh and he gets hurt more than IT.

      lmao ur hurt. UR a hurt Cleveland fan, or lebron fan whatever. Kyrie played 3 years with ALONZO GEE as his second best player. what were Westbrook, Wall, Kemba etc. doing in THEIR FIRST 3 YEARS.
      U sound like such a salty lebron fan right now. Kyrie is at least top 5, thats indisputable facts. So ur basing 30 games over 3 seasons where he has to run an offense that suddenly doesnt have the one player it was built around that he has lost in...
      ANd hes going from Ty Lue to Brad Stevens, thats a HUGE coaching upgrade, Stevens maximizes every player. U salty Lebron fan sound delusional

    Kahwi is probably THE MOST complete player in the league. He can play ISO-ball or within a team offense. His on ball denfense is superb as well as his team/help defense. He may be the only player who has a technically "complete" game so I'm not sure what Colin is talking about.

    • @Commandosoap777
      @Commandosoap777 Před 6 lety +6

      Kahlim Denmark no cuz Lebron is easily the most overall player and kd also has no weakness in his game like Kawhi . Yes Kawhi is complete player but saying he's the only one is ignorant cuz besides defense he doesn't do anything better than Lebron or kd . Stats and eye test prove this

    • @razorramon5937
      @razorramon5937 Před 6 lety +3

      Kahlim Denmark LeBron is better than Kahwi. The most complete player is LeBron he's better or as good at everything except on ball defense, plus Kahwi is no where near the passer LeBron is.

    • @kahlimdenmark2424
      @kahlimdenmark2424 Před 6 lety

      I never said Kawhi was the only complete player. I said he was the MOST complete. He does everything at a high level but the same can't be said about Lebron. Lebron's team defense is atrocious and on his on ball defense is no where near the level of Kahwi's. So when you takeinto account both sides of the ball, you'll see that Kahwi does everything at a high level whereas Lebron really only plays offense at high level. That makes Kawhi the most complete player!! Also KD has proved that he can play defense at an extremely high level as well as offense which is why a lot of people are now saying that KD is the best player in the league Which there is a strong argument for.

    • @yah.1782
      @yah.1782 Před 6 lety +1

      Most complete has to be KD. KD is arguably still the best scorer in the game, has elite defense(he's been the last line of defense for the Warriors and also has 1.1 SPG), good rebounder(8.3 RPG last season), and way more capable at creating for others

    The negatives you said about Kawhi and Harden, is the same as the ones Irving has, so where Kawhi both have scoring and defence, Kyrie only has scoring, where Harden both has scoring and assists, Kyrie only has scoring, that's why he's not a superstar like those two. He's not gonna win anything, if he's the best player on the team, but with that said, he's probably not the best player in Boston, cause Hayward is a better defender and a better team player, while still being a good score!

    Every player mentioned passes the ball except Leonard, and he makes up for that in defense. The main thing Kyrie gives you is offense, what else will he give you if he's having an off night offensively? Or in the playoffs when a team figures him out/forces other players to make plays?

    • @myvids4329
      @myvids4329 Před 6 lety

      Kyrie has shown decent defensive skills in spurts, he should be much better in Steven's system. Also, hes not really been a PG in his years with LeBron, which is who the Cavaliers offense runs through. Its unfair to give him the knock on assists when his primary role was to win iso battles off a LeBron pass. The offense will run through him in Boston

    • @TheMacThat
      @TheMacThat Před 6 lety

      David Cote, Valid points, and I'm sure BOS will run similar sets for Kyrie as they did for IT. And even new schematics because Hayward is better than Crowder.
      Yet in still, the entire situation raises my eyebrows: Because it'll be interesting to see a player many regard as one-dimensional, to suddenly have an expanded game. Five or six years (more or less) of doing the same thing (his play style in CLE), I imagine, is difficult to shatter. However, if he plays to his confidence's expectations he could be a candidate for Most Improved Player. Kyrie for M. I. P.: Scary, lol.

    John Wall is a good defender, Eric Bledsoe, Chris Paul, Patrick Beverly, Jrue Holiday. Giannis is a great defender and he's basically a PG at this point. There are plenty of good defensive PGs that can also score and pass. Maybe not many that are on Kyrie's level of scoring, but I'd rather have someone that doesn't need to iso 30% of his possessions to get buckets at the PG position. I agree that being a good defender at the PG position is overrated as long as you are an amazing playmaker AND scorer, but Kyrie isn't both of those. Harden is. Russ is. Curry is (he doesn't get enough credit for his passing ability), many more are. I'd much rather have Russ, Curry, Wall, maybe even Lillard than Kyrie to be honest.
    We'll see how IT does on the Cavs, I think he'll do very well as long as he stays healthy. Also, I want to make it clear I'm a big fan of Kyrie, but acting like it's clear that he can turn in to an amazing playmaker along with a great scoring threat is foolish. I think he has the potential to, but it will take a lot of work.

    If he isnt able to carry them at times, i will say that a 5 foot nothing PG is better and hos 3 for the title was just luck

  • @longjohnsilverthorne7766

    No. The Bucks are on the come up, and Al Horford is 30+. They'll need to find a solid replacement from him, then they'll become kind of like the Spurs of the east. Always hanging around and making it to finals every 2-4 years.

    The difference between Russ and Kyrie is that Russ is a legitimate playmakign threat. He's a great passer, along with being an absolutely elite scorer. Kyrie is one dimensional because he's FAR from an elite passer/playmaker. If Kyrie can develop in to a great playmaker, then MAYBE he'll be at Russ' level, but until then he's far from it. Say what you want about Russ defense but at least he puts in maximum effort unlike Kyrie who takes almost every single play off on defense.

    Colin has the classic case of falling in love with potential instead of taking what you see for face value. Kyrie can score. He's a star, but he's more Allen Iverson than Kobe Bryant. The Celtics are a 2nd round playoff team in the East and will fall to the Wizards, Bucks or Heat. They gave up all of their elite defenders to get Kyrie and Heyward. Good luck with that.

  • @BooBooJonez
    @BooBooJonez Před 6 lety

    So, you heard Kyrie speak of working both ends of the floor. No doubt Danny and Brad had a conversation about the importance of defense. Surely they schooled him about Bill Russell and his role in 11 championship based on defense. Surely they told him of how Kyrie himself has shown he is capable of great defense when he puts his mind to it. And surely they pointed out that unlike Isaiah, Kyrie isn't vertically challenged and has no excuse for poor defense. Surely they pointed out every one of Boston's championship teams had FIERCE defense and rarely does any team win it all without great defense. Kyrie Irving will become a defensive lock. Rest assured, Brad and Danny will see to it!

  • @JLewis95
    @JLewis95 Před 6 lety

    I have to disagree. Curry is a much better defender than Kyrie. Look at his steals, defensive rating, and team's defense. Statistically he is actually a better defender than Klay Thompson. Sure there is a lot more offense in today's game and less defense, but there is more defense than given credit for. Especially when Marvin Bagely, John Jackson, De'Aaron Fox, and Michael Porter enter the league. Also Paul is an elite defender.

      Lebron, Durant, Kawhi, Curry, Westbrook, Harden, Wall, Giannis, Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, Jimmy Butler, and Paul George are all better than Kyrie. • @SilkyCrisp6
      @SilkyCrisp6 Před 6 lety +1

      I agree that Kyrie should average at least 27 but no way will Hayward average 25. If he didn't score that much in Utah as the no.1 option, how would he do that in Boston as the no.2. He will average around 20 -23 ppg

    • @myvids4329
      @myvids4329 Před 6 lety

      Utah plays at a snails pace. Hayward will have open 3's for days in Boston and his athleticism in the paint is extremely underrated. Hes the second complete scorer the Celtics have been lacking, and he is overall a better player than Irving imo.

Dont forget, Boston has now turned over about 80-90% of its team. This isnt the same team as last year or the year before. They are probably going to need time to mesh while Toronto, Charlotte and Washington has had the same roster for the past few years for the most part and are all getting better and better.

    • @RIF241

      Let me guess, Boston fan. I didnt even mention Cleveland. So that leaves Boston at about 5th or 6th in the East. They wont be as good as they were last season. Kyrie will have highlights but highlights wont make them dominate the East for a decade. Get real.

It's different if pop told him bring the ball down and facilitate/distribute but his job is to play team ball and show up when his number is called. Which his number has been called alot for the past 3 years. But to get back on subject the man passes the ball and is good at it. Is he flashy or stat sheet stuffer in assists, no but the man does lol.

    Why Bucks not Boston wouldn't dominate the East:
    Unless Boston can get Anthony Davis they will be number 2-3 in the east next decade.....
    If Jabari Parker comes back without losing a step continue progressing and him, Giannis and Middleton stick together long term with a few nice trade moves and signing by the Bucks then the Bucks will run the East after Lebron starts to decline.
