    I debated for over a month on this camera. I finally pulled the trigger and got my copy today. I’m just an amateur but wanted something to inspire my photo taking. Sold my old gear thru MPB about 6 months ago and just using cell phone in the interim.

      Hey @@doogieham, I found the weight perfectly fine. It isn't a super light camera, but due to the balanced design, it didn't feel cumbersome at all. Thanks for tuning in - Amy

    I think it's a little misleading to show selling a GFX 50R then a 2,424 pound quote at the end of the video. I'm sure the example *technically* included other items (not shown at all in the clip...), but the intent is obviously to make people click through to MPB expecting a higher-than-reality sell value. 6 days after the video released, the sell price on MPB UK for a GFX 50R in "excellent" is 1375 pounds, for reference.

    • @mpbcom
      @mpbcom  Před 10 měsíci

      Hey there, we were just using that as an example of how easy our quote system is, rather than pricing, so there were other items included. We've removed that part of the video to avoid any further confusion. Thanks for letting us know! - Amy

    Hello MPB! Thank you for this excellent intro to the Fuji GFX 100 II. As a Nikon Z System landscape, product and macro photographer, I have been quite satisfied with the image sharpness and detail I obtain from the Nikon Z System (Z7, Z8 and several lenses). However, as I do on occasion produce very large prints (30"x40" and up), I've always had an interest in medium format. So, in your opinion, do you feel that this GFX100 II would give me a very substantial improvement in image quality (particularly image sharpness and detail rendition) in the large prints, over either my Nikon Z System or the Hasselblad X2D? (Also, as I don’t shoot video, that’s another reaion the X2D appeals to me, as well as the NCS of the Hasselblad files, since I’m somewhat colorblind, and I've heard other reviewers state that color-correcting the Fuji files would be a nightmare, and for me in particular!) Thank you!

    I'm still debating if I go from the 100s to the 100 ii. But here are a few things I'd like to see. 1, angled top plate on the X-H3s (i know that one is years away still), and the video tools on this to go to the X-H2s as that body is their flagship hybrid APSC body. Also the one they touted as the "video centric" body. Then if Reala Ace could be brought over too that's just a bonus!

    Provata col 110 f2. Bellissima macchina ma file Raw da 200MB. Sviluppati poi in Tif diventano 600MB. Se si lavorano con Photoshop facendo qualche livello e curva si raggiungono facilmente i 4GB di file. Quindi Ps non riesce nemmeno a salvarli. Bella ma file troppo difficili da gestire a livello di dimensioni. Tengo la D850

    Isn't the lower frame rate 16 bit vs high frame rate at 14 bit?

    • @mpbcom
      @mpbcom  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Yes, it looks like the RAW files bit depth drops to 14-bit while in the burst modes. It is still the topic of an ongoing investigation though with some sources claiming it is even 12-bit with some post-processing applied to fill in the 'missing' data. But the image quality difference will be probably unnoticeable in most cases. Thank you for watching! - Jakub

    • @andrewkutches
      @andrewkutches Před 9 měsíci

      @@mpbcom forgive my confusion here, but if the camera shoots at 14-bit that would reasonably produce the color range as my Canon 1DX-Mark ii wouldn't it? Of course more details because of a larger sensor and 102 mega-pixels. But going from 14-bit to 16-bit really drives the color ranges to a far more accurate and towards the quality of film? Thinking about making a future purchase, your feedback/opinion on this would be greatly helpful.

    • @mpbcom
      @mpbcom  Před 9 měsíci

      Hey, so realistically this depends on a lot of factors but I would say the biggest consideration here would be editing. The more an image is manipulated the more you need a good amount of colour-depth to help reduce any banding or distortion as you work with the highlights and shadows. But, realistically, you’ll be hard pushed to notice a huge amount of difference, especially with most screens being unable to show that range of colours.
      As you point out, there should be a noticeable difference in quality from your 1DX II based on resolution, but also with a newer sensor and processor, I would expect the rendering of the images to be better too. I could go so in depth with this, so I hope this helps. But if you have any further questions don’t hesitate to ask! Amy

    Joking aside, only Canon uses the Mark designation. It's GFX100 "Two" or "The Second", both were said by Fuji employees.

    As a professional cinematographer...I realized the Camera is unable to film 4k motion pictures by utilizing Super 35mm Cine lenses. it is able to use high end Cine lenses at an incredible cost. I love the camera but need to shy away at this time.
