Seriously though, nice compilation but the lack of clockwork golem when it was mentioned in that segment had me scratching my head.
@@harlandmountain7998 That's because in the original video, the Clockwork Golem was made of scrap bits and not a Heroclix figure, so he's been edited out of this compilation.
@@B.-T. I figured that was the case. Which took me longer than I care to admit. Which is why I was scratching my head.
hi
how are you?
It's great to see some new uploads. I hope these become frequent again because your channel is a huge inspiration to me and my crafting so thankyou for these fun entertaining videos.
Thank you. I'm trying to keep up a nice work routine with the channel.
I've been uploading frequently again.
Thank you heroclix and acetone. A match made in heaven for us without an income!
Hell yeah.
I have so many monsters from a heroclix-like game, I should probably do this. That Nothic is fucking awesome.
Test the plastic before stripping them with acetone.
Great video and good reminder how long you’ve been inspiring me and the rest of your followers to be cheap
Thank you.
Super video where you've compiled together some of your best work! I have converted some HeroClix but hundreds of got-them-cheap on eBay Mage Knight minis for D&D. Great fun and like creating something that is semi-homemade. Also fun to put them on a base that you can flock, change weapons, adjust paint jobs, etc. Some of my minis were super cheap as in paid around 20-cents or so for them.
That's the upside of collectability.
Dollar store monster conversions and Heroclix pc and npc thanks for all you do ! 😎 Never under estimate the power of ass wind !😆
Thank you for watching!
the mind flayers look great nice work
Thank you.
these vids were instrumental in getting me to rethink just what the possibilities for older or non-d&d genre specific Miniatures could be adapted into. I'd always been a vulture for the toy bin at Goodwill and things like that but your ability to look at something and visualize what it could be was truly eye opening to me, and I confess that many of my conversions from previous models and Miniatures and whatnot were definitely influenced by your artistic and compelling eye for seeing outside the proverbial box. I think it's great that you put all these into a compilation, here's hoping that more and more noobs to the Hobby will get inspired from these videos. cheers.
Thanks, this has been getting some views. The algorithm likes the longer format . Heroclix are still an underused resource.
@@MiniatureMashUp very much so, they are also an interesting thing to put on the table to sort of sideswipe you're more monster manual toting style of player who met a games the F out of it once they see a critter on the table and already presumes to know all the stats etc. Got to keep them guessing. Got to keep the Fear Factor in place
Thanks so much, can't wait to make some cheap minis!
Traveling forward in time through an arcane gate to like this well in advance! The Great Tinker Gnome of all Tinker Gnomes is about to post new content!
Thank you.
I've been doing similar to this for almost three years now, converting Heroclix figures into Star Wars/D&D/Fantasy and more is fun, and leaves you with truly unique figures for your games/collections :-D I have a VERY odd collection of figures in my cabinets, including a growing series of "Inhmans" made from Marvel Heroclix figures, and a host of old soft plastic D&D/sci-fi minis. I don't game with them, just enjoy collecting and making new figures a s inspirations strikes :-D Love to see I'm not the only one who does this. I also collect and re-paint Disney Skylanders figures for making "Giant" figures and stand-out character figures. All together, looking around and playing with ideas for converting cheap Heroclix figures just adds to the hobby and your skills combined :-D Keep up the good work, and keep posting these wonderful videos too :-D :-D
Yes, it' fun.
Ideas for your bat leftovers (wings cut off for demons with Abomination): a rug for a vampire throneroom similar to how the Elf sorceress Sinestra from "The Mage in the Mirror" had a special rug tile. Also maybe could turn part of it into a war banner. :/
Always love your videos
Thank you.
Zeus gave Phineas the gift of prophecy and the first thing he said was "Ferb, I know what we're going to do today!"
You know, I forgot about some of these classic mashups. It's actually really nice to see them again. The Harpies was always one of my favorite since it was the first time I really saw that a different perspective, some time and paint, any mini can really be maid into a multitude of different minis.
I STILL haven't found a nothic miniature so I may have to do some kitbashing inspired by you.
Let me know how it turns out.
@@MiniatureMashUp
Will do. I think you're probably a FAR better painter than I am, but I'll get my muddy little hands on some mini's and see what I can do.
If you're looking for some quick ideas for future videos here's some of the stuff I've converted you didn't cover, if you're considering inspiration for future videos:
Marvel's Vermin and Jackal into ghouls. Just a pasty white flesh tone and some random color on their trunks, then yellowed teeth and red eyes.
Marvel's Ulik into an armored oni with brass knuckles. Could also make an armored devil or demon.
Mavel's Rattler, Marvel's Bushmaster, Marvel's Princess Python (holding a giant snake), DC "New 52" Copperhead (the one who's actually a snakeman) all made good types of Yuan-Ti/Serpentfolk at a mere fraction of official ones or Reaper ones.
There's at least one Merlyn from DC Comics that's very plainly dressed and thus makes a good base for any archer/ranger type characters who'd have a little chin fuzz and some V-hair.
The Heroclix Yugioh gives us a genie type piece that makes a good, well, genie.
Obviously Hulks are an easy go for ogres but there's a slightly smaller, bald one wielding a spear out there and he'd be a perfect base for a cheap Goliath character.
Back to Yugioh there's this Boar Soldier who can make a really nice armored wereboar or pig-faced orc.
Marvel's Arkon makes a great barbarian character if you snip off his lightning bolts. He uses his sword left-handed so I added a shield to his right arm and that mini's been my player character since. The other version of Arkon with a shield but no sword can also work if you have spare weapons to replace his lightning bolts.
Marvel's Executioner can make good barbarian warriors, I used the oldest one painted up as a tribute to the late Road Warrior Hawk (because of his double-mohawk haircut)
Yugioh's Feral Imp makes a really nice gargoyle if you want some friendlier-looking ones.
Marvel's Morbius makes an obvious base for vampires, but there's a version in a tattered cape with spiked hair and I painted that one up as a wight.
Aside from Hulks, there' s Blood Brothers pieces that also make quick and easy ogres.
There's one angry Etrigan mini that makes a cool barbaric demon or devil. Big Brock Lesnar vibes if you paint his tight shirt as though he's shirtless.
Hogun minis make good mongolian-inspired characters obviously. The oldest one holds his mace oddly but with a quick conversion to give him a spear he works way better.
Thanks.
Even if it's a repeat, still good stuff 👍 thanks!
A lot of great ideas here, thanks
Thank you for watching.
Great video!
Thank you.
been following MM for a few years, and it's always been inspiring, but this episode is stellar! x
Thank you so much, please share it with friends.
@@MiniatureMashUp good idea, done :)
Futsona detected! Jk. Great combination. Just got some clic gonna use this great resource
Thank you.
That Task Master painted with blue zombie flesh would make a rad "not Skeletor".
Oh yeah. Nice catch.
exelente video
Thank you.
First time here. I was sent by Shadow and Son. They said to tell you hi.
Nice.
I'm only about 9 minutes in, so not sure if you do it, but your great work with the epoxy tentacles for the mindflayers seems like it would also be great for gorgon snake hair! The idea of the ancient Greeks homosexuality is based on lies, misunderstandings, and undeserved myth-rumours btw.
Toss a comment to the channel.
Thank you

Thank you
Have you used acetone on the Word of Warcraft pre-painted miniatures? If so, did it damage the plastic?
I have not tried to strip those.
Were do you get your heroclixs from
Ebay lots, singles resellers like Troll and Toad. I used to buy them new and used from FLGS.
Nice! I wanna do stuff like this since I don't have much money to buy and miniatures for my future D&D games any tips for getting started?

@@MiniatureMashUp thanks!
I've been seeing a lot of my favorite youtubers putting out these kinds of compilation videos lately. Is this just a coincidence or did youtube fuck around with the algorithm again?
If you watch something with the word compilation in the description you might get another video with that same word in the description. There' no way youtube would just start offering up compilations out of the blue though.
@@MiniatureMashUp Oh. I just figured people started doing it more because youtube did something to their algorithm that, for whatever reason, made it more advantageous for creators to suddenly want to put out longer compilation videos as a reaction to their constant meddling. 🤷♂
@@outpost206 oh yeah, compilations make sense from a creator standpoint. Longer videos get more algorithm love.
I bought a huge lot of nobody heroclix and wasn't really impressed. The paint jobs are terrible and the sculpts are not far behind. So if u can make them into something presentable, kudos to you
They aren't all created equal. Some can't be saved no matter what.
