My affirmations was to meet in a traditional way and it’s happened at a party, known him for years whilst I was married he was there. This is beautiful, but honestly you can be kind and gracias yet still have people feel you are out of their league and not want to pursue as it is an energy more than anything so I am not sure lowering the "unspoken" expectations is the key to success lol. I am kind to everyone and still have people tell me how intimidating I am without ever even knowing me. The truth is do I really want someone who is too intimidated to make a move towards me? I have found myself dimming my light to make others feel better in the past and I can promise you lowering my expectations only ended up hurting me in the end as they were not ready for me so instead they began tearing me down to feel better about themselves. I think I will continue to be the kind, gracias person I am and stand fully in my power and the right person will recognize that and be strong enough to pursue.
