A tip from a old David brown mechanic is next time you fit a second fan belt in at the same time and zip tie it in place so that you don’t have to worry about removing the hydraulic pump shaft again to fit a new fan belt. Best of luck with your project and I have 2 DB 1210’s both red and white and manufactured in 1979 but your one is previous to that about 1977 because of the red decals and chocolate brown. 😊😊🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪👍👍☘️
Looking good! The amount of crud that builds up in the front of the tractor in the frame casting is amazing. Cleaned at least a couple gallons of dirt and crud out of my 990. The 50 years of caked on dirt around the back was just as bad. Getting it clean though!
Hi again. I truly understand your point of view and the kind of restoration you're getting thru right now. The 1210 you got looks and seems in good shape. When you go to far with this, I'm telling you (you probably know it anyway) it gets expensive very fast. I've put like 20 grants in the past 10 years on my DB880 and still it's not over yet. You're lucky. You're ending up with a bonnet and mudguards in very good shape too. I've put $2000 only to have wheels, rims and bonnet done. I know what I'll do next time. If there's one ! Keep on your good work.
briliant video you made a good job of the final drives, well done

Great to see another David Brown put back in to work. Bit of TLC and she'll give many more years of service
Dead right these tractors are far better than they are given credit for

ups brown is close to the david brown brown and case power white for the bonnet fenders and wheels
buck carmichele was a david brown dealer in white pine in the 70s
My neighbor bought a 990 new from Buck. It’s a good chance this tractor came from him too
How do you turn the fuel pump down ?
DB 1210 is 73 hp
Ford 4000 is 62hp
Rustoration.
For some reason I thought David Brown tractors were British (and not in the US).
They are but a few made it to the states
