I know Jamie will never read this. But, I am going to say it anyway. Until October 2022 I had never even heard the name Jamie Dornan. I had heard of 50 Shades of Grey book and movie but I had no interested in reading the book or watching the movie. I knew of only 1 book and 1 movie. I heard they were both about sex, sex, sex and I had no interest in seeing that. At my age, I have had plenty of great sex of my own and if I ever feel the need for porn there is always Google.
But. then one day in October 2022 there was an on-demand link to 50 Shades of Grey with commercials. Just on a whim I clicked the button. I fully intended to fast forward through the movie the way I have dozens of others that totally annoy me. That's the day I learned the movie was much more about relationships than about sex. It was classy and beautifully done. I learned the name Jamie Dorman that day because Jamie had done a masterful job portraying Christian Grey. And I learned more about Dakota Johnson who really nailed the roll of Ana Steel.
I watched all 3 movies (which I learned about that day) over the next few days. Had it not been for the amazing acting of Jamie, Dakota and others as well as the awesome directors and script, the movies would not have made as much money as they did. Since then, I have seen about 13 of the movies, tv series and projects of Jamie Dorman because I am now a huge fan. I hope Jamie and Dakota NEVER allow interviewers to lead them down the path of saying bad things about the 50 Shades trilogy.
The movies did not get critical acclaim because it was popular to say bad things about the movie and actors in it. Critics tend to follow the leader when it comes to reviews. If one major critic says bad things about a movie then they all feel they must do the same. When I lived in Chicago Roger Ebert (a movie critic) allowed me to audit his class at the University. A few of us sometimes got to go out with him for food. He said that the opinion of a critic was only as good as people's choice to believe in them so some critics find it safe to follow the lead and keep their real opinions to themselves. That was not an exact quote but he said something to that effect.
I hope Jamie and Dakota never allow anyone to dismiss the awesome work they did on those movies.

Robin, you have nailed it. I only discovered Jamie & Dakota and the books/movies in May 2022. I’ve commented similarly on other posts about these actors and movies. I’ve heard Jamie sort of apologize for the trilogy and I must say to him, “Please stop it!” I could easily be his “auntie” and there is nothing for them to be embarrassed about. I’m proud of the acting. And, yes, the story of these characters is touching and portrays well the growth they both go through. The critics be darned!

И вот в один из майских дней я переключала каналы тв, искала что посмотреть, на одном из каналов только начинался этот фильм, я начала смотреть, потом когда начались сексуальные сцены, я хотела закончить просмотр, ноо☝️что-то меня остановило, и я продолжила смотреть, заинтересовало, что хотела донести автор. Досмотрела. Раньше видела Джейми Дорнана, и знала, что он на обложках журналов, ноо в роли актёра видела его впервые. Джейми и Дакота сыграли свои роли ВЫСОКОПРОФЕССИОНАЛЬНО🌟🌟🌟🌹🌹🌹.
А смысл фильма, ещё глубже, чем то о чём везде говорилось о нём, и критиками в том числе, которые СПЕЦИАЛЬНО ЗАНИЗИЛИ ОЦЕНКУ ЭТОГО ФИЛЬМА. Я после фильма много просмотрела роликов, отзывов, и не УСЛЫШАЛА САМОГО ГЛАВНОГО О СУТИ ЭТОГО ФИЛЬМА. А суть в том, что Кристиана Жизнь наградила ЧИСТОТОЙ ДЕВУШКИ СОХРАНИВШЕЙ СЕБЯ, ДЛЯ СВОЕГО ПЕРВОГО МУЖЧИНЫ, за это он её и полюбил. Так как в природе существует процесс называемый ТЕЛЕГОНИЯ-ЭФФЕКТ ПЕРВОГО САМЦА, поэтому критики и ЗАТЁРЛИ РАЗМЫШЛЕНИЯ ФАНАТОВ, ЧТОБЫ НЕ РАССУЖДАЛИ, хотя это они делают ЦЕЛЕНАПРАВЛЕННО ПО УКАЗАНИЯМ, одним словом ПРОПАГАНДА, что это "просто о сексе", а на самом деле фильм намного глубже и серьёзный, о жизни как оно должно быть ПРИРОДОЙ ЗАЛОЖЕНО И НИКТО ЭТОГО ОТМЕНИТЬ НЕ МОЖЕТ, ТЕЛЕГОНИЯ-ЭФФЕКТ ПЕРВОГО САМЦА, ЭТО ПРИРОДНЫЙ ЭФФЕКТ И ОН СУЩЕСТВУЕТ, НЕВАЖНО ПРИЗНАЮТ ЕГО ИЛИ НЕТ, ВООБЩЕ ЭТУ ИНФОРМАЦИЮ МОЛОДЁЖИ НЕ ПРЕПОДАЮТ, ЗАМАЛЧИВАЮТ. И если женщина выходит замуж не за первого мужчину в своей жизни, то рожая детей от другого мужчины, да, биологическим телом они будут похожи на того кто их зачал, а вот ДУХ будет не его РОДА, отсюда ПРОБЛЕМА ОТЦОВ И ДЕТЕЙ, потому что ДУХ НЕ ЕГО, А ПЕРВОГО САМЦА В ЖИЗНИ ЕГО ЖЕНЩИНЫ. ВОТ какую информацию "ЗАТЁРЛИ КРИТИКИ" про этот фильм. Ну это я так ВИЖУ ИХ ОЦЕНКУ, которую они свели "просто к сексу", чем хотели ЗАНИЗИТЬ ВЫСОКОКЛАССНУЮ ИГРУ АКТЁРОВ И РЕЖИССЁРА. Считаю, что Джейми и Дакоте, нужно ГОРДИТЬСЯ ЭТИМ ФИЛЬМОМ в котором они сыграли главных героев, БРАВО ИМ!!! 👍👍👍🤗🌟🌟🌟🌍🔮🙏🌹🌹🌹

Já li aqui comentários sobre o Jamie ter se arrependido de ter trabalhado nos filmes ele sempre reconheceu a importância dos filmes na carreira só não faria mais esse tipo de filme ele ganhou muito com esse projeto mais foi um período muito duro pra família pro próprio casamento deles só seguraram a barra por que eles se amam e lutaram pra dar certo , foram morar no interior e saíram das redes sociais no fim saíram mais fortes , como ele diz eles tem uma forma de relacionar que pra eles dá muito certo , pra mim é a melhor forma de um casamento feliz .

Quando eu me lembro das fãs da trilogia que não separaram a realidade da ficção que atacavam a Amélia me dá uma raiva ; dizendo que a Amélia fez um barraco no restaurante por causa de ciúmes do James por conta da Dakota ; e passaram sete anos desde o fim da trilogia e eles estão firmes e fortes , calou a boca de todo mundo.

How about Mr and Mrs Dornan doing a video for couples on real live, trust, commitment, etc. as Jamie talks about here. They are fortunate to have each other. As for 50 Shades, J & M have handled the notoriety very well. The critics were much harder on JD than they should have been. And it’s hard to argue about the trilogy’s financial success. ☘️💚☘️
