So many people sleep on Treach that it is CRIMINAL. This is one of my favorite beats ever.

Damn I miss the 90s. I'm not trying to be a salty ass old man but from 1991 to 1995 I can easily name like 20 full albums that were better than most rap singles in 2023
Every single genre of music was better back then. I miss real rock and roll so, so, so much also.
It makes me really sad we really have nothing "to get into" anymore. Rappers, rockers, hip-hopsters, jazzers, and pop fans are literally all in the same group -- we all miss the old days. Country is the only genre that has gotten a bit better in the last few years but it's still not what it was. And, you are not being a "salt ass old man" -- a fact is a fact -- this is the new reality.

Deeply appreciate your comment here. Treach is one of the few MCs that checks every box. Not only was he prolific, but he was extremely rhythmic (which is an attribute that is virtually extinct today) as well as being more than able to construct rhymes with heavy conceptualism OR by employing a wide vocabulary to dispense more wordplay oriented rhymes. His perspective wasn't anchored down to any one area of thought. He covered a wide range of emotions while maintaining the strength of his intellect. There isn't an MC alive to today that wouldn't s#*t their pants if they had to put their rhymes up next to his for analysis. I should say, no MC with a half of brain, some of these ignorant youngsters are so ignorant, they wouldn't be able to recognize or identity the fact that they aren't even deserving of being highlighted in the first place.
It's not an opinion, it's a straight fact that Treach stands among the G.O.A.T.s.
