Praarambham - Learning Melattur style Bhrathanatyam basics online
Adavus Introduction, Tattadavu 01 & Asamyuta Hastas
Dancers - Harinie Jeevitha, Ananya Srinivasan & Suvasani Kannan
To cater to the request of keen learners from all over the world, who are interested in learning the Melattur style Bharathanatyam , SDN humbly presents ‘Praarambham’. This is a set of tutorial videos to learn the basics of Melattur style online, which will be published on CZcams on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month. The basic Adavus have been presented in three speeds starting from slow and moving on to fast tempo and receding back to the slow tempo, which will be useful for learners to improve stamina. Tips and suggestions to avoid mistakes in doing Adavus are presented in the videos. Along with the Adavus, aspects of Hasthas and Viniyogas are also covered.

    Dear Sree.Sheelaa Unni Krishnan,
After seeing, the "Praarambam 11" I went back searching and got the other portions.
    A timely presentation.
Thanks for publishing this Series with revisions.
It is really very heartening to see out Ms.Harinie Jeevidhaa on the stage explaining.
Fine work. Please continue this with continuity with the other sections.
Greetings and Blessings to these kids dedicatedly learning our Bharadham. They undergo grueling "Saadhagam" abstaining from the present day distractions and time kill entertainments.
Special Greetings to them for their interest and dedication.
Their bright and alert face tells the determinations with which they adore Bharadham!
    Thanks again!

These are the fundamentals; glad to know and learn; you not onl perform but help rasikas learn a bit. Dhanyavaadaha! A rasika who understands these gestures enjoys every bit of the nritya, nrutya and natya.

I would like to thank and congratulate you to start these tutorials classes which would not only help those unfortunate students who cannot reach you out there , but persons like me also who like to know more about bharatnatyam and it’s techniques . Starting of your video was awesome, and would like to see more of such informations on which bharathnatyam is based . Like to see more small informations from ntyashastram, abhinaya dharpanam etc which is not easy for us to understand but you are the masters ! Also it would be nice to explain different types of Bahratnatyam , it’s peculiarities, differences in each styles etc.
Including different dancers performance is a great idea which you did. Clear voice , narration and good background made the video more interesting! Waiting to see you next videos and hoping for more informations!
Thank you once again and you are doing a great job 🙏
