I don't think people understand how powerful his vocal chords are for not SNAPPING with how HARD he pushes them to do this awesome shit, or how he can fight off fatigue to do this on TOUR night after night and not be MUTE for the abuse!!!.....
That's something that keeps me wondering: is he using a good technique? Is he really taking care of his voice? Does he warm up before doing a show? I love STP, but man I can't help but feel my boy Alex is putting himself in danger.
@zack-lk8if Some people have a very naturally strong voice that can take more abuse than the average person. It's possible that his genetics are playing a huge factor in this. But no matter who you are at some point in time, bad technique or excessive vocal strain will catch up. So yeah, we'll truly see if he's using a good technique as the years go on.
I'm convinced he wrote this part this way and they are playing it live before the recording comes out just so he can scream that breakdown bit without the audience singing along. You can see how he wants to do it in Demolisher but everyone else knows the words so the crowd shouts too. I guess it being in Russian helps too.
I remember when I saw Impening Doom about a decade ago and they had 1 guitarist live and it was hard to tell which song they were playing because it lacked the 2nd guitar part
there's nothing "god given" or some bullshit about that, there's decades of hard work and dedication to get there, just reducing this to "god given talent" is horrendous
