3:00 -- Faith is asked if she can recall the first time she and Talib met. They discuss collaborating on 'Broken Glass' after she found out, to her surprise that they were mutual fans of each other's work. They go on to explore Faith's childhood, being born in Florida and raised in New Jersey. Her mother having her at age 17 while she was working as a singer/band leader alongside her father, a white musician that Faith never had the chance to meet. Faith gets into her mother's diverse musical taste that she passed on to her as well as her grandparents who raised many foster children over the years.
8:33 -- Faith speaks on starting to sing at the age of two years old and a couple years later at age four catching the attention of the congregation at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Newark when she was belting out the Flintstones' version of "Let the Sunshine In" around her house. She talks about being shy early-on and not having any ambitions of becoming a performer, but instead focusing on the reading and writing of music. They also discuss her deep gospel music influences, sneaking out of the house to create in the local studio and later meeting Teddy Riley.
13:51 - Faith tells how she was close friends with Redman's younger sister Roslyn throughout high school who she's still close with today. She tells how she dated Red for a short time as a Freshman and originally meeting him while he was drumming at a different local church. They also get into years later when Red introduced NYC Cannabis legend Branson to Faith who in turn introduced him to Biggie. Jasmin goes on to tell her story of robbing a weed dealer and they discuss Faith attaining her notorious nickname, 'New Jersey Drive' due to her getaway driving abilities.
18:27 -- Talib tells the whole story of getting caught with weed in his underwear while traveling through Bermuda, how he freestyle rapped his way to freedom and Jasmin notes her own freestyle talents. Faith goes on to speak about how her son's struggles with autism has become the number one priority in her everyday life. She explains how she has been forced to file three separate lawsuits against her son's school for mishandling funds and also taking time during quarantine to do free symposiums for other parents of special needs children that are dealing with similar struggles.
26:24 -- Faith is asked for some of the backstory to her signing with Bad Boy in 1993. She gets into some of her early work writing for Al B. Sure and later landing in the studio where Puff was able to witness her talent, leading to him asking if she'd like to join the label. Faith also goes on to detail how Hit Squad's Hurricane G. was a major bridge to her eventual romance with Biggie. She's asked what her goals and thoughts were at the time of releasing her debut album 'Faith' in 1995 and she tells about how her proficiency around the studio is why she felt she landed the record deal.
32:28 -- Faith gets into her experience attending the infamous 1995 Source Awards with her being backstage while Suge Knight was taking shots at Bad Boy. She's asked if she had any idea how big that moment would be for hip hop history. They also talk about Faith's book 'Keep the Faith: A Memoir', her being a voice of truth detailing what she's gone through as well as protecting the legacies of Pac and Biggie. She talks about if she really knew 2Pac personally, BIG being deeply upset over Pac's shooting and how at this point, all these years later everyone has fully formed their own opinions about how things went down.
40:20 -- Talib brings up the recent loss of DMX, the collab between him and Faith on 'I Miss You' and the solace it brought him after he lost his grandmother around that time. Faith talks about her experience working with the legend and speaks to the sincerity she sensed in him as well as his breaks into prayer. They go on to discuss Faith's 1998 club banger 'Love Like This', how it dominated the scene and stood the test of time over all the years. She also details her mixed feelings of hearing Fat Man Scoop's version on the radio and they discuss the days of DJ's making bank by pressing up mixtape records and selling on the underground.
45:45 -- Faith's 2001 album 'Faithfully' is brought up and her noting the mixed bag of influences that inspired that record. They go on to discuss how her collab with A Tribe Called Quest on 'Stressed Out' came together. Faith details the day she rolled into the studio with Junior Mafia to link up with Tribe while she was still in her pajamas where she ended up meeting a relatively unknown D'Angelo for the first time. They take a quick break from the interview to Facetime their mutual friend, producer Lance Rivera and discuss when he'll be making his People's Party appearance.
51:51 -- Faith is asked about her exit from Bad Boy around 2005 to make 'The First Lady' and how she knew it was time for a change. She talks about how after the loss of Biggie things just weren't the same for several years and details the meeting she had with Puff where she asked for him to not interfere with her leaving. They go on to discuss Pharrell asking Faith to sing like Lynn Collins on her and Talib's collab 'Broken Glass', why Faith asked Raekwon to join in on her remake of Biggie's 'Everyday Struggle' and Faith learning to navigate the ins and outs of independent labels versus big time record companies.
57:31 -- Faith's powerful lyrics on her song 'Real Things' relating to relationships is discussed and a big shout-out is given to Malik Pendleton who originally penned the words. They go on to discuss Faith's doing a compilation record in 2012 for the reality show 'R&B Divas' as well as get into Faith's quote of feeling like Biggie's spirit was in the studio with her during the making of 2017's 'The King & I'. Faith talks about why she felt it was important to bring Lil' Kim on 'Lovin' You For Life' and also wishing she could have had Charli Baltimore on the track as well.
1:05:54 -- Jasmin brings up Faith's husband, producer and TV reality star Stevie J and how the internet has been buzzing about them being divorced. Faith corrects the record on that and talks about her being close friends with Stevie for many years before they got romantic as well as not connecting him to the reality show persona that most people know him by. Talib goes on to tell why he feels it's been one of the best People's Party shows to date and Faith speaks about how right now she's fully focused on her son and advocating for other parents of special needs kids that are being taken advantage of by the system.

Faith's voice is legendary, she has one of the most beautiful, soulful, RnB voices I've ever heard as a solo artist. Faith is an RnB Icon. There's only two at the top Mary J Blidge and Faith Evens. I believe what they have already done has stood the test of time and very few people currently can compare. Mary J Blige's My Life album wouldn't have the success it had without Faith Evans on those background vocals. She saved Mary on that album. People don't give her enough credit.

Respectful, I disagree. I'm a big Faith fan. What she brought to "My Life" was great. However, she was only on three songs, none of which were singles. I love her vocals on the album. I think she helped make the album the classic it is, but to say she saved Mary is a reach.
