Genji gloves + Darkside+Enemy Skill make a extremely powerful build!

The gilgamesh clutch, jeeeesus, very brave of you to not save the limit for after the stagger was done, I would have panic after that limit didnt kill him, amazing run
yeah for sure. I was hoping like hell for the Limit kill! Then I did a panic Braver lol
Infinity's End + Cross-Slash on stagger is usually a clean kill with full buffs - Darkside, Berserk, Bravery, Faith. I got the full damage on Infinity's End, but I lost the Berserk buff for Cross-Slash.
@@michaelnguyen4371 ooooh that makes sense, I always felt a bit unreliable the berserk that you get for punisher mode, imo you should be berser WHILE being on punisher mode.

I'm amazed by this theme playing for when you fight summons, it hits so well and hits home for these iconic beasts of myth and legend

@@michaelnguyen4371 It goes really well too for Odin considering he can one shot you, messed up part is if he gets bored in battle, he just ends it with Zantetsuken

Never thought of using Darkside here but it's obviously worth it after watching your video
The extra damage really helps for Gilgamesh and Sephiroth! In my testing, Darkside was much more consistent than Luck Up.
Darkside is not 100% necessary though. Honestly the HP drain can get dicey. For safer/non speedrun approaches you can use HP Up or Barrier instead

Wait a sec. How did you use Infinity End with only one atb against Gilgamesh? Was it some kind of action queue? I didn’t see you do anything special
Skill master Materia. Infinity End was the third different ATB command used, and replenished 1 ATB basically
What Matheus said (thanks Matheus!). The game does not allow you to use 2 ATB abilities without 2 ATB charges; the option will be greyed out in the menu. So using Infinity's End did cost 2 ATB, but I gained 1 ATB back with Skill Master.

It's a fun challenge BECAUSE of the unpredictability, IMO. Though it took me forever to learn what you could & couldn't parry

Are you attacking perfectly when the enemy hits for immune damage? Or it’s just you blocking?
It's mostly me blocking or absorbing Fire and Ice (from the linked Elemental + Fire and Ice Materia on my armor).
6:52 Why did you only cost 1 ATB to perform Infinity's end? And if it only costs 1 ATB, why did you use infinity's end twice at that time?
I did not understand what was going on with the first fight, i think you could have killed Kujata instead of Counterstance and it felt like you had time to Infinity's End Phoenix before the Rebirth (i suppose you tried, is it enough ?) Then i saw the other fights and your Parry skill... omg . Gilgamesh was a close one but your Odin & Sephiroth are masterclass.

re: the missed Counterstance - I saw Phoenix readying Blazing Onrush at 0:43-0:44. I thought I'd proc the counter, get pushed into Kujata and kill him. Instead I whiffed hard lol

I hate that Square made the Summon Ultimate a cutscene since it doesn't allow for no hit runs with low level gear because they cant be dodged so even if we block them with lets say Aerith's ult we can't call that a no hit because we got hit by the cutscene
Can someone explain to me why when he used infinity's end it only used 1 atb bar and not 2?

you can't kill the Phoenix first, it's immune to any damage until you kill Kujata for the first time
What @codeine_ninja said! Phoenix is linked to Kujata at the start. Phoenix takes super reduced damage (90% less or something) until you kill Kujata, so you have to take Kujata down first. After Phoenix revives Kujata you can kill them in any order, but Phoenix has much less HP.
We can use 2 elemental materia in the same weapon ??
he had one equipped to the weapon and one equipped to the armor. when its on your weapon it adds elemental dmg to your basic attacks, when its on your armor it provides extra resistances against those elements. i think
I have only 1 Elemental in my weapon (Lightning and Wind) and my armor (Fire and Ice). The description for the Elemental Materia says only the "left-most" Elemental Materia will work or something

Something doesn't seem right here. They bosses seem to have really low HP? Why are 2 bravers at 7k each enough to kill titan and kujata also dies too fast?
He has genji gloves but also When he goes to primal mode by holding square he gets a Fury status increasing his limit gauge if i’m right.
But primal mode is pretty op makes attacks also stronger
almost forgot he used also sonic boom
They really don't have that much HP. One Arcane Ward-ed Blizzaga with Aerith on Genji Gloves is a OHKO on Phoenix.

Do you need to do stuff in hard mode to deal this much damage? 💀 I haven’t done hard mode yet and I keep dying to these challenges
Yes, for the most part. The materials for the Genji Gloves (break 9999 damage limit) and some of the weapon manuscripts (for max weapon level/attributes) are only available in hard mode.

It pleases me to even see you somewhat run from gilgamesh because hes so dumb. 1 slip up could spell death
One missed parry is usually death, yeah. If you get hit once, you get stunlocked or stopped/turned into a frog.
