Actor Johnny Depp is suing ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation in connection with Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed, in which she spoke out about being the victim of domestic violence. Heard’s article did not specifically name Depp as her alleged abuser, but according to Depp’s lawsuit, it relied “on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.” Amber Heard is counter-suing Depp for $100 million.

Rewatching the trial , thank goodness the jury saw through the lies.
They're saying "objection" to every little thing and that just shows that they're trying to hide the truth. It's very very very noticible. I'm on Johnny's side 100%

Objecting is a tactic many attorneys use. What I can't get past or understand, why an objection was allowed during an opening statement. It's almost never allowed and violates the courts decorm and civil procedures required during trial. Very 🤔

I started watching the trial after a day or two. This is the first time I’ve heard Elaine’s opening statement. My god, the woman is terrible at telling a story. It sounds more like gossip than something worthy of a courtroom. How is she an attorney??

The Defense took FOREVER on their opening statements. Johnny's lawyers were concise and took like 20 mins each. Ambers lawyers took like an HOUR each on their opening statements. What a way to lose the jury's attention.

The defenses’ opening statement was absolute word salad, and they contradicted themselves more than once. It was genuinely painful to listen to them fail to make a single point.

One of the many things that separated Johnny from the rest of the film stars was that he was very much a private person
There was always very little about him that the public knew - we didn't know much about his childhood or his private life during his early career (except for the nightclub and the drugs).
It wasn't until his children had become young adults that the public knew anything about them or his relationship with them.
And now, in front of this giant audience, his life is being opened up like a book.

DV survivor here April 28th marks my 5 years free from my abuser and I too 100% stand with Johnny I know he has a drinking problem and opioid issue but he has tried to get help. And she has multiple times taken away his treatment. She's a horrible person a horrible liar no way a women who was just beaten goes to a pool and have cocktails and joke around.

I’ve come back to watch her team’s opening statements after watching all the way through to day 10 of the trial and her lawyer, Elaine, is lying about so much it’s insane 🙃 the “proof” from the police officers is nonexistent. I too watched the trial all the way through day 11 before coming back and watching the opening statements by the attorneys for the first time, and then I could not quite believe all the lies that Heard’s female attorney, Elaine, told the jury that have been proven to be untrue subsequently. How can it be that attorneys are allowed to so blatantly lie to the jury?
Anytime she is asked a question that could end up being bad for amber’s side her lawyer says “objection” This would annoy the f out of me as a judge or a juror.
Ambers lawyer’s said “Johnny was obsessed with Amber” when in reality during the recorded audio in a conversation Johnny said vocally that he wanted a break from Amber directly to stop the conflict. An obsessive person would not want a break/give space at all if anything Johnny was creating safe boundaries.
Have you noticed that the first day during jury selection he wore a grey suit and then on this day she’s wearing one? And the bee tie. He wore a tie with a bee on it then boom suddenly she is wearing one as well.

The lawyer using the breaking horses excuse may come back to bite her. Breaking is about gaining control over a horse that's either wild/feral or never been ridden by someone. It's about power over another animal and you learn a lot of ways to emotionally and mentally exhaust the horse into submission. It's become more humane over the years, but Amber learned at a very young age that she liked that power and control she got over the horses, and she used what she learned to break Johnny.

I never had any doubts that Johnny is innocent. And that was only driven home more so when I heard the recordings of their conversations together. I've lived in an emotionally abusive relationship with a narcissist, and the way Heard spoke to him really hit home for me. Berating him and downplaying her violent outbursts as if they were nothing, gaslighting, mocking. It's all there. I hope she gets the punishment she deserves.

I was late with this trail and only stared watching the final week. While I was sick. I went down the rabbit hole. I could not understand why there seemed to be this obvious animosity between Johnny and that male lawyer Rottenbaun but after watching him cross examine Johnny’s sister I get it.
It’s touching to see how much he admires his sister. When she said how saddened and devastated she was when she found out they were getting married, Johnny immediately looked down as if he couldn’t stand the thought she as disappointed in him. Then proceeded to fix himself as if to make sure he was well put together for her 🥺
When they start talking about johnny "beating" her. You can see the look of confusion, like it's the first time he heard it
