I've watched this film five times. What I like the most about Shannon is how he instinctively understands the importance of SILENCE in acting. He's a master.
Some dude once said even the silence in between music notes in a song is still part of the song and performance, ur right though if did a loud Tony Montana psycho its be shit, it's the silent psycho that's scary as shit
Misuse of the phrase " single handedly " because of your misunderstanding of it. Single handedly means that a person achieved an astounding feat with no help from anyone else.
Shannon did a great job in showing the Iceman real nature. As the Iceman had duel personalities. He was a real enigma in the interview... You almost liked him.
When he had the sunglasses on and the goatee towards the end of the movie he looked close to the real Kuklinski. But all the other scenes, not even close.
I think Shannon did a fantastic job portraying Kuklinski. Man, the story of Richard Kuklinski just facinates me so much. He was a monster but if you have seen the HBO series about him you'll know he was smart as hell and a person who could love. It's so strange, the whole life of Kuklinski.
This is a good movie until u read about the demeo crew and find a lot of inaccuracies in the film. Ive read he had a diff amt of kids (and a son), didnt kill certain characters that he did in the film. Idk how true it is but his real life wife claims to have hated him throughout their lives and only stayed out of fear. Whereas in the movie shes just dumb and and aloof (wynona also admits she didnt consult w the woman for the role at all). The murder of mr softee was diff from what ive read as well. All that being said the movie was based on all of RKs outlandish claims, and is still a good flick

Michael Shannon looked so enthused to do this interview. It really shows.
😂
michael shannon single handedly one of the best actors of our generation

I wouldn't say: "Single handedly."
I'd say: Michael Shannon is *Undoubtedly* one of the best actors of our generation.
I certainly agree.
Iceman is a pretty staggering film. This actor does it so well. Thank you to everybody.
The depiction was spot on.
U read the book too?? That's what I said hes perfect for the role.
Michael Shannon once stared down a dragon and bent him to his will
michael shannon is an iceman what a beast

A fine actor who played the part really well.
what a master actor he is! Bravo.
He was one of the best men for the role even though he looked nothin' like the real guy. Really good actor from he and the actor who played Leo.
When he had the sunglasses on and the goatee towards the end of the movie he looked close to the real Kuklinski. But all the other scenes, not even close.
I thought he looked extremely close with the shades and goatee. They even sound alike.
@@brianw.6718 me too...I thought he nailed it.
This guy needs to play Darth Vader one day
he did an awesome job playing in this role
Indeed just sounds like him too that's what made him perfect in this role
Shannon's performance doing the HBO interview of Kuklinski was bone chilling
Michael knocked it out of the park with his portrayal of Richard Kulkanski
watching the movie right now

Even before this movie i thought this guy was already an iceman...the dude has one of the scariest looks ever
The Gemini. I know Mike. Thanks for Thelonius. You deserved a BAFTA for “The Iceman. It is what is is. Damn ham heads.
You had his mannerisms and rhythm down pat.
but here he looks like his voice is putting his face to sleep lol
thats what happens when you compare a novel... to a film..
A long way since Bad Boys 2 lol

This mans voice cured my insomnia 💤
Looks and sounds a lot like Bill Hader here in this interview.
Michael is the same height as Richard, 6'5"
Yeah he does not even look heavy set either. I have seen the actual interviews in jail I would be interested to see his portrayal.
Isn’t he 6’ 3”? He also has a slimmer build.
Why didn't the film do better?
General Zod!
Lame questions
This guy is terrifying
Maybe if it's seen by u or a little THREE-YEAR-OLD
He's a sweetheart in The Shape of Water
