If you think the vet is choking the owl, you are very wrong -- underneath all those feathers, owls are very thin, so you have to tighten your grip quite a bit to get a good hold on the neck. A lot of birds get wrapped up in towels during vet visits, that way they don't hurt themselves or anyone else. Besides, if you're only here to be like this, why the actual flak are you here?

Very surprised how tame he was, I'm sure he could have done a lot of damage if he wanted too. The vet also did awesome, not everyday someone has a pet owl!

Sorry your owl has been ill. Praying Garu recovers completely. Did the vet charge you extra for the owl bites 😊. 0wluch! Ouch! 🦉 Great you have a knowledgeable avian veterinarian. I know those bites hurt I have had parrots for a long time and owls rip flesh so it's painful. Hope Garu is back to good health soon. ✌️
