Previously in our driveway was the jag mark 2,3 point 8...4 speed over drive My wild brother-in-law drove it many times 80 and 90 And even ran it through a neighbor's fence one night of big party.. Also had 52Jag. XK120 .. And XJ6C Co-op with 2 doors.. Absolutely recall and love that sound of the jags taking off in first year the wine the throat exhaust, Beautiful wood and full down back seat trays... If one found a bad engine 3.8 that would be a great swap for a yamaha super charged V6, From SHO Torres.. We also had a number of very collectible Mopar's , And my brother's brand new 70 boss 302.. Now looking for mid-fifties Dodge pick up, In Oregon and if someone were to find the right one I might even toss them a little reward..🙏🙏

Swapping that old motorcycle for a boat was a great move.

I think it's natural to have a fondness for an old car your dad used to have but that does not make it classic and does not make it good.. I cannot see the attraction to something like a Ford cortina or the little British ford's like Ford zephyr which I owned both... The cartina was the most amazing piece of junk broken down more than running and of course typical electric hell and terrible brakes, The car was a wagon with an automatic plus it was red everything about it I hated and the fact my new father-in-law chose that piece of junk to give to his daughter when he was in the car business.. Everything about that car I hated, So under power that was dangerous.
I don't care if you put a Lotus pereformance in The engine Bay,, The boxy little car was very cheap and plain ugly,, Lacking real quality. Before the age of 10 I drove plenty of my Brothers Jag Austin or MG. My favorites being the XK120 or mark 2. ,3.8.. Love the shape in the sound.. My family had a lot of Cars in the driveway and the American ones we're simply more reliable... Between a rover 2000, Volvo P 1800, 1968 Dodge Charger, Or the 1968 barracuda 340 .. Guess which one got ordered from the factory brand new? Well thank God it was not the rover, The Barracuda would walk all over most of these, Doing 60MPH in first , And easily 100 per hour in second. Top out at about 135 mile per hour ! Even at age 10, I was in charge of oil changes wash Wax and start it up every morning.. I would borrow it and drive around the block, While mom was out... Those were the good old days for me... 🙏🙏🙏 In comparison I am amazed at the rusty cancered hulks you have value in England..
