still don't understand why NS don't wash their trains

Nice trains, but they look in desperate need of a good wash. I've never seen trains so dusty
Have you noticed the dirty trains? I just found out why. Dutch traindrivers are not allowed to drive the trains through the washing installation, and there is a shortage of staff that are allowed to drive the trains through the washing installation. They are also very dirty inside, because of the same problem, staff shortage. But they have found a solution to that. They are going to reduce the number of waste-bins in the trains, so the staff that is available needs less time to clean a train. I'm not making this up!
