The history of vc was wrong in the film it says John Williams in fact it was a soldier called John Fielding who at the time was to young so changed his name to Williams. John Fielding is buried in a cemetery just outside Newport Wales. Wetherspoon in Cwmbran has named their pub John Fielding in memory
What a shame there wasn't a Fenton in the list of VC's that Richard Burton reads out at the end........ That would have been classic!
