"In March 2001, Armin Meiwes posted an advert on the internet. He was looking for a “young, well-built man who wanted to be eaten”. The 42-year-old computer engineer from Rotenburg, Germany, became known as Der Metzgermeister (the Master Butcher) in one of the most famous cases of cannibalism in history.

Rammstein is known for three things.
1) Really dark lyrics, which sometimes make me glad I can't speak German.
2) Incredibly lavish use of fire, to the point where the singer got himself certified as a pyrotechnician in order to avoid the safety hazards they ran in the first part of their career.
3) Badass heavy metal music.
Also, note that the subtitles on that video were in Spanish, but he was singing in German. For example, "Mein Teil" in German = "Mi parte" in Spanish = "My part" in English.

For those who may not be aware: This is a true story about a German man who was a cannibal, who solicited online for someone to be voluntarily eaten by him. And he succeeded in finding a volunteer, and really did eat someone who wanted to be eaten. Soon after, German authorities found out and arrested the cannibal, who is now sentenced to life in prison.

Lyrics for songs by Rammstein are always difficult because they play a lot with words that sound similar. If you listen to this as a german you'll recognize that it often also sounds like "Jetzt ist mein Teil (dein)" instead of "Yes it's mein Teil (nein)" so you'll hear "now my part is yours" instead of "Yes it's my part (no!)". They love those kind of double meanings which they've show in songs like "Du hast".

I love Metalhead Shaq! This was great, because Rammstein is one of my favorite bands. They’re not afraid of writing songs about controversial topics, and are funny too. You’ll have to check out some of their music videos. Start with Keine Lust-meaning “no desire.” The making-of video is funny too....shows the process of getting ready for the video shoot. Can’t wait to see what Metalhead Shaq comes up with next!

"I bet all their songs like this." Actually this one is pretty unique. No other Rammstein sing sounds like Mein Teil, and their subjects are pretty varied although usually pretty dark. I definitely think you should check out Engel, Mein Hertz Brent, or Sonne and see for yourself. All of their live shows are that insane however.
