You’re correct that the commission should come from the landlord. The agent is helping them fill a vacancy after all. That’s how it works in the US & Can. No tenant pays the agent ever! Eiii Ghana

Thanks so much for this video. I am currently hunting for an apartment and it has been crazy. The viewing fee is now hundred cedis . For any one who is also hunting; be sure if the land lord is willing to take one year advance before paying the viewing fee. Because the agents might take you to your preferred apartment but the landlord might not accept the one year advance.

Finding an apartment here in Accra is insane ruff .I suffered before getting my apartment and I was glad it was through someone I got the place.He payed for the agent fee .Some rooms are really nasty 🤮 herrr I can’t get it out of my eyes 👀

aaahh so if just last year viewing fee was Ghc 50 why then is it doubled now omg . Currently, Antwiwaa viewing fee is now Ghc 100 per apartment view ooh hence if you're viewing more just imagine the total cost.

The noisy neighbors. That just reminded me that I told myself that I would never live in another apartment. Its been a long time since I had a situation like that but it was traumatizing. I actually moved out because of the neighbors. I had to call the police 2 or 3 times but it didn't make any difference. So that settles it for me. I'm not renting an apartment. I can't take a chance that I'm going to have neighbors waking me up all night. I'm going to rent a house.

Agents in Ghana are a nightmare ! Wanted to Sign a lease of 5 years on a property and landlord was taking a year advance as it was expensive... the agent was aggressively requesting for 10% of the 5 years lease lol for just showing me the property? Glad to say I ditched the property and got a better one without this hassle
He wanted 10% of the entire 5 years?!! That’s greedy smh

Is true u need to go with a man .After I got my place (which is a newly built place)The landlord ask me to do the painting in the room ooo can u imagine .A new place u just built how can I do the painting thank God for my bf ,the landlord did my painting .They take advantage of ladies

@@TheAntwiwaa yes and even kitchen sef he didn’t do cabinet for me nor buy sink .I bought the sink myself lock the door and came back couple of days and I realize my sink has been fix .Then my bf called him and ask and he said he fix it .And he ask him why did he enter the room in the first place and I even have my things in there so he ask him if something gets missing then we will blame u .How can u fix a sink u didn’t buy .Like landlords in Accra are doing too much off late.This is my first time renting ,I moved out of my family’s house so I’m new to certain things ,I don’t even know my right as a tenant.It was my bf who told me that the landlord is not supposed to have a spare key
