This setup is pure hell and you have to make major adjustments to your Software to run it without issues.

I fitted a lightweight flywheel to mine but it's nothing compared to this.
Far out man, you did not prepare me enough for how fast that is.
I believe he has a 5.8 final drive and the clutch is 5,5"

Just ordered a Competition Clutch Flywheel and Stage 3 clutch.. I don't think it will be as light as yours.. But I'm looking forward to:
1 - Not having a slipping clutch anymore (flooring it in 2nd slips it rn, barely touching the throttle in 5th does too. Let's not talk about 6th. xD)
2 - Having the fast revs.. Yep.. You said it well.. A toy hahahaha. >:D

@@snowsaysahhh3037 i do like the r3, its a bit of an upgrade to the standard model, but there are some nice bodykits available. question for you, are you mapping the ecu your self or do you have a tuner do it for you ?
Yes look on my channel i do all the ecu mapping myself with verstuner.

wow, really satisfying! can the idle struggle solved by tuning the ECU? make something like a "rev hang" near the idle rpm?
Does the lightweight flywheel throw off the balance of the eccentric shaft??
No there is a specific counterweight for it
@@snowsaysahhh3037 I thing that it is just a waste of money and a thing to make you pay for. The flywheel has to have nothing to the engine internals balance, the engine combined with the counterweight has to be balanced itself without any use of a flywheel. Thus I mean the stock counterweight soud by used with any type of a flywheel.
I know there are companies selling flywheels with a "special" counterweight for their type. In other words that would mean that the original flywheel is ouf of balance and with use of a specific counterbalance you get it balanced. And that would be the same with the new setup.
Why would they make ouf of balance parts, combining them together to be balanced?
Even those iron flywheels must be out of balance when made, each one is different, balancing them additionally. None of them would be the same, to fit random counterweight.
They are just balanced at the time of their make.
Then imagine revving engine without flywheel, will it be vibrating and destroying itself ? :D
@@mato424 the rotors are cast balanced, the eccentric shaft is machine balanced, there is a front counter weight, and on the manuals the stock flywheel is thicker on one side (meaning the balancing is cast into the flywheel and machined by hand after to perfect) taking away the counterbalance in the rear greatly upsets things, hence why you need a rear counter balance if you go lightweight flywheel

I have just purchased the pulleys and since I'm not using the AC, I have cut one half of the main pulley off. This way the weight was reduced by another 160g and all pulleys weight together 380g :)

@@snowsaysahhh3037 yeah my first ever rotary flooded and effed the seals coz i drove it like a wally bouncing of the limiter i learnt after that and now i get long life from my rotarys
@@snowsaysahhh3037 the lightened flywheel and twin plate clutch are a great idea though and really help the engines rotational balance which reduces bearing stress. This youtube'r just needs control his right foot a bit better 😄
@@jameshoath83 First of all i don't drive my car all the time till it bounces of the rev limit that was for video purposes only and second of all i have so much oil in my gastank i could open an oilfarm haha don't worry about my seals.
@@jameshoath83 Thanks thanks i came up with the idea myself :D Downshifts are a breeze and 1st gear really pulls hard now.
what is the normal gas consumption now?
Probably the same as before maybe a bit better since the engine has to work less but nothing major.

It would rev faster than with the clutch ofcourse.
I showed what happens if you disengage the clutch and that's plenty fast.
Only upgrades to do to make it faster is remove the ac compressor and lighten the rotating assebly.
But at this point you spend a lot of money just to rev fast and high.

он поставил легкий маховик и диск сцепления + как и положено поправил карты в ECU. теперь обороты набираются быстро, но так же быстро они падают при отпускании педали акселератора. Другими словами это чисто гоночный сетап.

What is the exact fly wheel and clutch, I want this.
The Clutch is a "Quarter Master V-Drive 5.5 inch Twin Disc Clutch" and the flywheel is from mazdatrix "race flywheel for 5.5" clutch turbo + rx8" i got mine not from mazdatrix tho. i got mine from a friend of mine who owns a rotary shop so that's all the info i can give you.
if you need help maybe add me on discod and i will send you the specific links and i can help you with software since you can't run that combo on a stock rx8.

WTF all do you have done to your car lol I have an ACT racing fly wheel and gretty performance clutch and my RX8 doesn’t do that lol
The flywheel you mention is almost double the weight of mine lol
I have a lot of mods but none of them affect idle.
Also my Clutch is twin disc and is like 3,5 kilos
I don't get what you mean yours doesn't do that.
@@snowsaysahhh3037 my rpm gage does not move that quickly across the rev range. I am curious to see the power you are putting down to the wheels. Great video I subscribed to your channel.
