Actually in one of my bullets I noticed that there is a slight piston lapping sound and when I opened it to check, I noticed a slight side to side play in connecting rod. There is no up and down play. Only slight side to side play. Hence I'm searching for a machine shop where they fix it and do a perfect balancing job for the crank. Thanks in advance.
The company used to give adjustable cam spindles to all (C. I.)Electra models. There is a never ending debate about the advantages and disadvantages of using adjustable cam spindles. Usually in the south, senior technicians opt for fixed cam spindles only where as in north they opt for adjustable cam spindles. In my personal opinion adjustable cam spindles are better if you adjust the cams yourself. If you are depending on mechanics for such adjustments then I suggest you to go for fixed cam spindles. Hope you understood my point. P.S. All UCE models now have adjustable cam spindles only.
As of now the fixed and adjustable are best... The only thing is that whoever is installing should do the best job. My G2 Engine has adjustable pins since Year 2008.
