2024. I played this song for my mum, brought back memories of her young days at The Dancing. I didn't realise the singer was so handsome, great song and a really good video.
This was almost a second national anthem in NZ for a while. Engelbert toured NZ a few years after its release and when he was told how popular it was he had to remember how to sing it.
I'm remembering being on a camping holiday touring round Scandinavia, One of our tour leaders was from New Zealand and sung this song very well, at our campsite one evening just outside Copenhagen. He was surprised it wasn't as popular as it was in New Zealand at the time. it's grown on me since.

7/27/17 - my 14 year old granddaughter loves this song. The twins had to listen to EH whenever they are in my car. I was able to play his CD's. Not anymore in my 2017 car as they don't have CD Players in it. We;ll have to listen to hi on the Iphone.

The beginning of modern music videos. I think Engelbert really flowered as a performer after this was done. He became such a smooth elegant performer beyond what is seen in this clip. He definitely could sing though in this clip.
