11:49 - Love it when a station shows you flowers and incredibly good music for a station ID with the fade-in; it feels like entering a dream.
The 1989 PBS Logo Demo Circa 1989/1990 from PTVhistoryproject, show the original PBS station logos which started a program. And now since 1993 and continuing to this day, the PBS station logo now appears at the end of a program right before a PBS ID is shown with an announcer at the end. Thanks for the upload.
You'd see which stations had more funding and support than others.
WCVE actually only used that logo in 1982 as a place holder; they used different logo from 1982 until the late 80s
No Montana PBS???
I saw that logo used in 1981 while looking for the WHRO logo seen in this video
- oh damn just forget Mississippi ETV and I knew that had a logo during this time. oh well.
- The only other state not included is Montana. Delaware sorta counts for WHYY-TV?... but hey, no more Wyoming jokes!
- Is this list worth checking out? Ye, there are some PBS logos out there that you may have not known existed.
- station IDs start to appear halfway in, and more and more appear at the end
- There's two for WTVS, even though the second logo came from a 1988 program, it still rebranded on 1986.
What about Rhode Island.

5:41 gives me some vibes of japanese television IDs, somehow
3:33 is my market.
13:19 That's my PBS Station.
8:51, Louisiana Public Broadcasting
9:59, South Dakota Public Television
4:51 sounds like 1989 CTV bumper
You could tell some of those markets were stuck in the 70’s
Didn't the WBGU ident have the same background music as that "TV Worth Watching. Channel Twoooooooooooooooo" ident from Chattanooga, TN?
My home station 13 KETA Oklahoma city, Oklahoma!
epico
13:31 is my favorite!
4:51 Reminds me of KTCA logo from 1981
6:32 10% USSR graphics, 90% original
Yay 😁
The PSNH logo looks like a Sega logo
I loved KET’s logo, I’m surprised they replaced it with something so abrupt and unnerving.
Do you mean the one in this video or another logo from later on?
I loved the logo shown on this video.
0:29 nice radar
Marianas High School
What does it have to do with pbs? (just asking)
PWTV
Public World Television
Ch. 7 VHF 84 UHF & 1596 SHF
Where was the music from KLVX from?
Could you do 1979 pbs please? Thanks
Were these all done on a Scanimate?
You know, it's not very often that you encounter a comment over twenty words long in a video before. But then again, I humbly apologize for not adding a comment related to the logographic subject matter. SORRY.

WCVE basically ripped off KVIE and WJCT’s jingle.
Someone recognized me
after 2 months yes
I feel like No. Entertainment and others will have reasons to update their cheesiest PBS idents countdowns. So many cheesy logos on here
old
13:18 copied WJCT jingle/chime low-pitched from WCVE
nope, it's one of those stock music
oh
Well, it sounded like that
comparison: 3:39 WJCT / 13:18 WCVE
@@veronicafrancoveronicafran2167 yes that's what i meant, KIXE in Sacramento has used the same exact stock music
