If I recall right, there’s a moment in the books when Harry casually mentions to the Dursley’s that the mass murderer they saw on television is his godfather and will be checking on him to make sure he’s treated well. That’s a satisfying moment for me.
Yep, that was at the end of POA but Harry also did it at the beginning of GOF, to get Vernon to agree to let him go to the World Cup, he casually slips in his writing to Sirius when pretending his giving up on Vernon letting him go, when he hadn't answered Harry if he could go yet, which caused Vernon to make up his mind real quick. I love those scenes too, it shows why the hat had considered placing Harry in Slytherin.

The fact that in book 5 when Peeves is unscrewing a chandelier after Fred and Georges exit, Professor McGonagall walks under him acting like she saw nothing and even whispering "It unscrews the other way" is just so hilarious and shows how everyone hated Umbridge.

Further, as this is in defiance of Umbridge, McGonagall's career interview with Harry. The comment about, "every COMPETENT teacher" was very satisfying. Pretty much any time we saw McGonagall interact with Umbridge was pretty epic.
I think this exchange between McGonagall and Umbridge was also quite satisfying:
“I’m terribly sorry to have to contradict you, Minerva, but as you will see from my note, Harry has been achieving very poor results in his classes with me -”
“I should have made my meaning plainer,” said Professor McGonagall, turning at last to look Umbridge directly in the eyes. “He has achieved high marks in all Defense Against the Dark Arts tests set by a competent teacher.”
And for an added burn, McGonagall was referring to Remus Lupin, a werewolf and half-breed in Umbitch's eyes.😅

Fred & George's exit from Hogwarts and the chaotic aftermath from their pranks is my favorite moment from the books.

Oh, and when Professor Flitwick said that he couldn't remove the swamp. Then, removed it really easily after she left the school. that was in the book, not the movie. I burst out laughing.

Book 6 when Dumbledore comes to get Harry was awesome. He puts the Dursleys in their place several times and the glasses of mead hitting them in the head was pure gold

Draco getting punched does actually happen in the books. But it isn't Hermione or Harry who does it. And honestly, I find the original WAY more satisfying. After the group saves Draco's life in the room of requirement during the final battle of hogwarts. They see him again whining for his life from death eaters that he's still one of them. Harry hexes the guy attacking him while still under the cloak and when he looks around for his savior, Ron clocks him one as they run past. SO satisfying, especially in that moment.

Absolutely, I love it when Harry faces off against Voldemort in the books, in front of a whole crowd, and, of all things, calling him "Tom Riddle"!
I think something I found satisfying that was more emotional, which I am pretty sure you have touched on before, is Harry and Ron's watches from Mrs Weasley when they come of age.
Ron finally got something new from his family that was only his, and Harry was given a hand-me-down watch that he saw as a family heirloom making him feel like he really was part of the family. It was such a powerful gesture and so satisfying to see how happy she made Harry and Ron, and was a testament to how well Molly Weasley knew her children.
Neville cutting off Naginis head was pretty satisfying I'd say

What about this line from Kreacher : "Fight! Fight! Fight for my Master, defender of house-elves! Fight the Dark Lord, in the name of brave Regulus! Fight!"
It gave me goosebumps.
I also like this because it happened due to Harry giving Kreacher the locket Regulus had used as a decoy horcrux. And he wore it after Harry gave it to him, even when he rallied the House Elves to battle for Hogwarts.
What makes number 9 even better is the buildup to that. Throughout the year, Neville has been losing Gryffindor points and making blunder after blunder. At the end, Dumbledore has giver Harry Ron and Hermione just enough points to tie with Slytherin, and Harry is internally upset that Dumbledore didn’t give him just one more point. He then gives Neville 10 points for showing courage in standing up to his friends, thus winning the house cup
Wait we need to mention Molly killing Bellatrix and Hermione slapping Draco, those are my two favs 😂
For me, "Weasley is our king \" will always be such a great moment of redemption for Ron and so satisfying! To turn such a negative thing into a praise for him instead was awesome!

A few more mentions:
1. Harry’s comeback at Malfoy before his match against Ravenclaw in Prisoner of Azkaban. Malfoy: “Shame it doesn’t come with a parachute. You know, in case you fly too close to a dementor” Harry: “Well, it’s a pity that yours doesn’t come with an extra arm to catch the snitch for you” this got the whole Gryffindor table laughing.
2. Dudley’s tongue extension in Goblet of Fire, courtesy of Fred and George.
3. The Marauders insulting Snape via the map in Prisoner of Azkaban. It was much better in the book, as each marauder had a different insult. Even Wormtail, advising Snape to wash his slimeball hair.
4. Harry owning Draco close to the end of Order of the Phoenix. “At least everyone knows what scumbags they are now” priceless. Made even better by McGonagall adding 250 points to Gryffindor and indirectly silencing Snape.
5. Harry’s kiss with Ginny in front of everyone in Gryffindor. So awesome.
The map insults also hints a bit about the personalities of the Marauders.
Mr. Mooney likes to offer professor Snape his compliments, and recommends him to keep his abnormally long nose out of other people business (Lupin begins friendlty)
Mr. Prongs completely agrees with Mr. Mooney and likes to add that professor Snape is a nasty looking git (James being a lot more direct already)
Mr. Padfoot likes to register his astonishment that such an idiot made it to professor (Sirius going even a step further)
Mr. Wormtail wishes professor Snape a good day and recommends him to wash his hair, the slimeball. (Peter, starting carefully, yet backed up by his friends he dares to throw in an insult).
“Be a man try for some remorse” is imo the greatest last chance any hero has ever given a villain to save their soul

Freeing Dobby with the sock!! Dumbledore seeing warm socks in the mirror. Harry excited to get presents when Vernon's socks were his previous gift. LOL Still love a good pair of SOCKS!
For me, movie Harry snapping the Elder Wand in half was WAYYY more satisfying than book Harry placing it back in Dumbledore's tomb (where anyone could find it again...)

Less satisfying is that they omitted Harry using the Elder Wand ONCE in the movies.
Especially since the only spell he ever cast with it says a lot about his personality and how much he has learned about the hunger for power.
That spell was "REPARO" in order to repair his original wand which Hermione accidentally broke when they had to get away from Nagini.
Not only it signifies once again he only wanted power when he really needed it, but also says something about his attachment to his own wand. He actually uses the ultimate power in order to be ale settle for a by far less powerful alternative.
Where’s Hermione punching Draco? Any moment Draco experiences pain is satisfying and that’s the best example.
In the books, she slapped him.

One moment that I think is very satisfying is Ron finally returning to Harry and Hermione after he abandoned them in Deathly Hallows. Sure Ron wasn’t always the nicest or the best person, but in the end, he still proves to be very loyal to his friends. I also would’ve loved to see a moment where Ron apologized to Hermione in Goblet of Fire after their fight at the Yule Ball or in Deathly Hallows while at Shell Cottage where Hermione was recovering from being tortured by Bellatrix and Ron staying by her bedside just like she did for him in Half-Blood Prince after he was poisoned. Then when Hermione wakes up, Ron apologizes for abandoning her and Harry and vows to never leave them again, and means it. As I said, Ron wasn’t always the best person, but his strongest character trait was his loyalty to his friends.
Also, I think what could’ve been a very satisfying moment would be Harry and Ron being reunited with the Ford Anglia after it saves them and Hermione by running over some of the Death Eaters during the Battle of Hogwarts. Even seeing the rest of the Weasley family being reunited with the car would have been great.
When was Ron not the best or nicest person?... I think he was pretty awesome throughout the books. They're all British teens. They ALL had their respective d***head moments (except Neville and Luna).
Plus, he already apologised for leaving them. Once to Harry and once to Hermione, and they forgave him, cuz let's be honest he more than made up for it and it wasn't even his fault that he was away for so long. Why would he need to apologise again and "vow to never leave them?" That's a little intense and creepy and doesn't sound like Ron at all.😂
I do like the idea of him staying by Hermione's bedside, though. That's cute.😊💕

I’m referring to the times where Ron would had very irrational fights with Harry and Hermione, like the part where he got jealous of Harry during Goblet of Fire and during the first four books where he would make fun of Hermione. The only entry in Harry Potter where I could think of Ron being very likable was Chamber of Secrets as I didn’t notice any times where he made fun of Hermione. Sure teenagers have moments where they are unbearable, but the problem I think a lot of people have with Ron is that he has moments like that a lot. And I think people really fixate on those moments and ignore Ron’s redeeming qualities like when he tried to find Harry and Hermione after he abandoned them, when he stood for Hermione in Snape’s class during the Prisoner of Azkaban book, etc.
My theory is I don't think it was Ron's fault for abandoning Harry & Hermione in the first place. He was wearing the locket, which was indeed a very dark object that was affecting him badly, more than it affected Harry & Hermione because Ron has more insecurities as well as hidden fears than either of them. He stated that when he disapparated, he got his head straight again ( he put off the locket just a few secs ago) and wanted to come back immediately but couldn't because he got himself into trouble with Snatchers. By the time, he escaped and apparated back, he knew he missed them plus Harry & Hermione was determined not to speak his name again so it's definitely not his fault that he couldn't be back with them for weeks. After coming back, he explained and made up for it. So really, his loyalty was always there.

Here are my top 3 most satisfying moments in the series:
1. The final showdown between Harry and Voldemort - Seeing Harry basically put Voldemort in his place for being an egotistical idiot before ending his life was like having a weight lift off my shoulders. Just so satisfying.
2. Most of McGonagall's moments in Order of the Phoenix - McGonagall is my favourite character, so to see her put Umbridge in her place for most of their scenes together is just awesome. And she gave Peeves her walking stick to beat Umbridge with as she tried to sneak away from Hogwarts.
3. Gryffindor winning the Quidditch Cup - As someone who's favourite sport, real or fictional, is Quidditch, seeing the Gryffindor team win for the first time in seven years was just unbelievably satisfying, especially because McGonagall cried in joy and because Harry beat Draco.

McGonagall's arguments with Umbridge in OOTP were all gold, but the Career Day one was a standout moment for me for sure!

Harry, Ron , Hermonie and The Weasley twins jinxing and hexing the Slytherin trio on the train at the end of book 4.
Dumbledore’s Army coming to Harry’s defense on the train before Malfoy and his gang can attack him at the end of book 5.

Ron punches Draco under cloak in the Elder Wand Chapter.
Not in the movies, but I loved when Hermione caught Rita Skeeter!
I think my most satisfying moment was when Harry was telling professor McGonagall about his career choice and then Uxbridge tries to step in with her usual cough. After that, professor McGonagall asks her if she wants a cough drop and says a whole bunch of other sarcastic stuff to her.
Peeves tormenting Umbridge is amazing, especially when Minerva corrects him on the way the chandelier unscrews. That was awesome.
How about McGonagall claiming she wanted to stop Peeves from hunting Umbridge down with crutches but somebody "stole" her crutches (she actually gave them to Peeves for this very purpose).

Creature fighting in the battle of hogwarts in the name of Regulus is up there pretty high.
A moment i really liked as well, wich got thrown away completly in the movies, is how harry doesn‘t destroy the elderwand, but instead uses it to fully repair his own one. It‘s not a huge moment, but it‘s a small, litlle extra happy end

when i saw the 8th movie and that it didnt had voldemort's humiliation i was mad because it is one of my favourite moment from the books
so many to choose from. but one that came to mind right away was when fred and george gave dudly the candies that made his tong enlarge in book four
i that was in the movie becasue that woudl have been so much fun to see
I really like how in the fifth part (movie), Fred and George made Filch think that Umbridge gave her sweets, and it ended up being a drug which gave him those pops 😂
I love the scene in book three when Malfoy and the Slytherins try to frighten Harry during the Quiddich match by pretending to be Dementors and Harry fires his Patronus down on them. The results are hilarious. Priceless.
My most satisfying moment in the franchise is deffenently the moment in the Deathly Hallows Part 1 movie during the ministry scene where Umbridge being Umbridge is about to sentence a muggle-born to Azkaban for being a muggle-born and than harry (disguised as Runcorn)'s face starts changing, he pulls out his wand and says "You're lying Dolores, and one mustn't tell lies" before stupefying her

For me, the most satisfying moment from the books, was Malfoy contorted with rage at the fact that his father had been sent to Azkaban after being captured at the Ministry as a Death Eater. Specifically it's when he tries to threaten Harry by saying that he and the others will be out in no time. It was Harry's response to this that was satisfying:
"Yeah, I suppose they will, still at least everyone knows what scumbags they are now,"

I absolutely do need to re read the books because the movies somehow messed up the memory and the books are so much better than the movies ever were. Except for one moment where Harry tells Umbridge I must not tell lies when the centaurs went to take her in the forbidden forest. I agree with all of them but I would like to add one more. In the Order of the Pheonix, when Harry and Duddley return after the dementor attack, it is Petunia who explains Dementors to Vernon and says that she heard that boy explain dementors to Lilly, which we later find out was Snape. It is strange to think how similar were Snape and Petunia. Their life's mission was to protect Harry without him knowing and letting Harry despise them. Be it through the bond of the blood charm as in Petunia's case or literally protecting Harry by teaching him Expelliamus and Occlumency as in the case with Snape.
I love where Harry goes back toe the dersleys in Prisoner of Azkaban and tells them Seruis is looking out for him and they treated him much better after hearing about that

Dumbledore completely having his way with the Dursleys in Half Blood Prince when he picks up Harry.. That entire scene is absolute gold
Hermione punching Draco is a moment so legendary that literally every compilation video made of Hermione’s best moments includes that part. I’ll take it further and argue that like Harry saying “I must not tell lies” to Umbridge, changing Hermione smacking Draco into her punching him is one of the few changes in the films that was better than the book.

I think the best part about Gryffindor winning in Book 1 was that it wasn’t just the trio, but it was also Neville for pinching the gap and breaking the tie with Slytherin.
Gryffindor winning the House Cup over Slytherin in the first film was so satisfying that even Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students threw their hats up in the air, despite their own house not winning.

One of my most satisfying moments came when Hermione realizes that the only way to resist Umbridge & the Ministry is by organizing. Thus was born Dumbledore's Army. When I read it in Order of the Phoenix I had one of those "Hell Yeah!" moments. Nearly brought tears to my eyes.

In the case of the 7 potters, they had this elaborate scheme to get Harry safely to the burrows but couldnt have Harry just used his invisibilty cloak and just walked somewhere far enough away to get safely picked up?

For me its after they visit Mr Lovegood and learn about the hallows, its like all the puzzle pieces start getting put together for harry and he starts acting crazy with the other two. another moment that is not mentioned in this video is when marietta gets spots all over her face after ratting out dumbledore’s army to umbridge, and not even umbridge, a skilled witch, could find a countercurse for the spots, proving how extraordinarily skilled hermione is. i love this moment in the books so much
