  • 4 days backpacking in Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. Our hike started at the Honey Creek Loop trailhead. We then hiked the Honey Creek Loop, John Muir trail and a portion of the Burnt Mill Loop trail exiting at the Bunt Mill Bridge.
Shot on a Panasonic G85, GoPro HERO7 Black and iPhone 11 Pro Max

A place I hiked/ camped/ repelled/ hunted and fished 40 years ago. Still remember the rangers name. Good people. What a joy to be scouting/hunting deer in the daytime and hypnotized by the fire at night. Without all the gov. limits and prostitution coming from the GSM's area. Hope my hunting/fishing areas are still there. Maybe Soros or Bloomhead bought everything up? Who knows?
Thanks for the pics of my old stomping grounds. Someday to return and build.
Peace from The Great State of Texas

Lovely videography but so sad for me. My dad was born in the Big South Fork in a home that no longer stands. We would go fishing and he would show me amazing this such as Indian petroglyphs , old foundations, old railroad beds etc . The wildlife and fishing were second to none.
Now obviously it is a Yuppy hangout

Another great video from Subproject 43! I would kill to have your editing skills for my videos (we have the same musical taste!). This was a stellar video, but still doesn't beat Pisgah! Thanks for the awesome video & inspiring me to improve my content. You do a great job!!--Kevin

Hey Brian. I am not familiar enough with the area to suggest another hike. Unfortunately we have only been able to make it up there this one time. I am hoping to return in spring though.

Absolutely love your channel! Beautifully done. Looking forward to tackling Grandfather Mountain soon with my oldest son, brother in law, and his son. Just got back in June for a 4 day in the Okefenokee. Curious, what type cameras and editing software are you using? Your videos are just so well done. Super impressed and so glad I found your channel.

Thank you so much for the kind words. Grandfather Mountain was awesome, it exceeded my expectations. You all will have a great time on your upcoming hike. Right now I am shooting with a Panasonic G85, GoPro HERO7 Black and an iPhone 11 Pro. I have always used Final Cut Pro to edit.
