    Hi. In my 2000 Honda CRV i am currently running the old school JBL MS62C 2way component for my active front stage and it's amazing. Each speaker gets 100wRMS from a pioneer GM-D8604 amp.
    The tweeters although being inverted titanium domes do an amazing job and surprisingly has ZERO harshness or sibilance, and this component's detail has the most natural presentation among all the sets i have tried.

      It is not possible to add those midrange speakers to the gear you have now. If you seek stronger midrange audio, then it is possible to add a midrange that has a 4 ohm impedance to the amp on the same channels that the front speakers are attached. Typically, midrange speakers are installed in the door, but higher in it than the woofer. We do not research vehicles to know where they might be enough room, but where there is a will, there is a way to make it work! Just may need to build a mount to help hold it in place and cut the door panel so there is an opening for it to play through

      The Stadium GTO620 speakers have a lower impedance and are better powered by an amp but they could also produce a fuller sound. Also, with the same power going to each set, the Stadium GTO620 were able to play louder. One thing they have in common is that JBL no longer makes them and we have sold out of all we had of both. The current model is the Stadium 62F which combines the benefits of both models so you can run them on radio power or an amp for great sound all the while still getting the improved frequency range. You can find the Stadium 62F here:

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  Před rokem +1

      Typically, tweeters would only be added to those models if you wanted extra strong treble and it would be the JBL Stadium 192T tweeter that is best added as it matches the tweeters in the other drivers. It can be found here:
      www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_109STAD192/item.html
      JBL makes one amp that could run the this setup:
      www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_109DSP4086/item.html
      If you prefer a more balanced sound, then we recommend exchanging the Stadium 62F speakers for the Stadium 62FC component speakers as they come with the separate tweeters. These component speakers can be found here:
      www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_109STAD62C/item.html
      The Stadium 4 amp can run the 6x9 speakers with the 62FC component speakers:

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  Před rokem

      The 62FC speakers are component speakers which means it has a tweeter that is separate from the woofer (separate parts or separate components) while the 62F tweeters are built into the woofer (not separated like they are in the component set). This design difference makes the 62FC are a better replacement in vehicles that that have a separate stock location for a tweeter.

      @crutchfield  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Since most amps do not require any switching for impedance, you can connect these JBL Stadium speakers just like always! You may get a little bit more power out of your amp than the 4-ohm advertised numbers, due to the JBL's lower 3-ohm impedance so make sure to pair wattage-wise for somewhere in between your amps 2-ohm and 4-ohm power numbers to be on the safe side. If you are using a properly paired amplifier with the JBL Stadiums, they sound absolutely incredible!
