- Today Brian Denny received his track chair. Still several things that have to be done for him to be riding around in it but for now it's been unboxed and manually tested by his kids.

Very nice for outside and accessibility where a normal wheelchair can't go.
Impractical around the house where space may be at a premium though.
Tracks would always be better than wheels, but size is always an issue as tracks often need to be wider than wheels to increase stability and traction.
I would love to see a tracked wheelchair that is small enough to use inside or outside. Until then, this chair would just be an expensive second chair for outdoor use to provide more freedom for those who want it.
Congratulations nice chair , I'm jealous and happy for you. Good luck hope you get lots of outdoor activities to do and go to. I'm a hunter and fisherman as you know our chairs suck outside.

And if you use a wheelchair van be sure that you have enough space between the front seat and back seat be sure that all straps are not dragging because it can break the tilt system and when using the car be sure that you have enough space to put the straps and they don't bind
I forgot to mention that when you charge the wheelchair it should only be charged in a gfci outlet on a single power switch it should have it's own power out let separate from the house power

This is basically the closest thing to owning a tank this kid is probably going to come to :) you could dress it up with a NERF turret for fun.

It's supposed to turn off automatically when not in use it save the battery that way don't break it because they are very expensive and that chair is meant for off road but don't do that with the other chair it will get stuck
Make sure nothing gets in the wheel track because it can break easily and is very hard to put together
This wheelchair is a very nice chair but they are very expensive and need to be properly cleaned and taken care of

Its was custom made. It still isnt finished. We had to send it back and make them set it up properly. We are not very happy. We still dont havetge chair back months later.

It's not made to climb steps. Brian had it custom made for himself. Not sure of company name.

I think they range accordingly to amount of your mobility. But they are cheaper here in us around 25k for this one
Lucky kid I wish I could win lotto an get one so depressed losing all my mobility in woods like last ten year I’m dying slowly without the freedom to move like being a prisoner in your own body as a double amputee para I’m happy for anyone that can afford one of these but they shouldn’t cost 20,000 grand where people with handicaps can realy ever be able to afford on a fixed state income
Sorry to hear. It's not the kid's chair. It's Brian's. He wasn't able to afford it either. He finally gave in to me raising money through a gofundme so he could buy one. Through family, friends, and complete strangers we raised 100%. Hope something like that can happen for you. I know you struggle as a double amputee. There is always a worse case. Like losing all feeling and movement in your whole body, neck down. That's where my friend is in his circumstance. This life can be brutal. The hope Brian has is that he has a Savior, Jesus. Because Brian gave his life to the Lord, Brian has eternal life with a new body when this body is done. Robin, I hope you have this hope and if you don't, I'd love to talk to you about it.

That's a really good way to get run over. An easier way would have been to put the chair in neutral and roll it off the back. By the way....NEVER cut towards you.
Now here is the reason people here in Ontario Canada get denied wheel chairs for people that actually need them but very nice

It's his dad's new chair. They are all excited for him and it needed to be tested. They had to send it back for more adjustments. Then we tested it for him again. Then we had to have more adjustments done. Finally many months later it was complete and ready for him to ride. He uses a straw to control it. Now he uses it to do outdoor activities with his family and children.
There are places that you can get a wheelchair accessible car
But it would have to be a full size van because a minny van would not work for him because of the wheelchair so you would need a full size van for him they are better because it can fit his wheelchair and the hole family

Be careful with this wheelchair it's very expensive and must be charged with a gfci outlet that has it's own power from the house power they are not to be used in a regular outlet must be installed in a gfci system separate from the house power
I only know this because I have blown fuses before and it's not an easy fix and I would hate to have sumthing go rong with the house or chair or any one else in house
problem with these track chairs are they are slow, and low mileage per charge
i agree am building one for a customer and thats the first question how long so i have a few adons if you want to know more subscribe for videos and updates

My only thought is Brian should have been the first to use it. The boy was acting like it was a new toy. He nearly got the seat belt tangled in the tracks. This is Brian's chair he should be the one to test drive it, because he is the one who the chair is ment for
Being the boys father will never be able to walk with his son I think its appropriate for them to roll together.
Hmmm, I agree with Juanita’s thought! That’s crazy when the father let the kids ride the chair before he could, how shameful. They treated the chair like a toy, a plaything! Letting them joyride shows how little the chair is valued.
The chair is only a chair. The father is paralyzed from neck down. The chair was not set up yet for a sip and puff operation for Brian. The son tested it out to determine if it was operable. The father will be in that chair until Jesus takes him home. It's only appropriate that the father and son roll together when possible. Cant believe people like you have the nerve to judge a special moment in a families life. Fyi. The chair wasn't working right and had to be sent back. And tested sg as in and more modifications. You think the father could have tested it on his own? I hope you feel bad for your words and ask the Lord to forgive you. I forgive you for being an absolute jerk!

I spent nearly 2 years not being able to walk due to a motorcycle accident. My injuries were nowhere near as the father in this video. By God's blessing I am able to work and hunt / fish. I also lift weights again. Im almost 40yrs old. This accident happened in my mid 20s. You definitely find out who your friends are in that journey.
So what I'm saying is don't sweat or waste your time on the trolls of CZcams etc. Family is what matters. I have no friends outside of my family that I hangout with and don't feel I need any. My wife is my best friend.
So I am happy for all of you for the father being able to open more opportunities with that chair. Im excited for the kids to be able to share the joy I such a humbling situation. I don't see anything wrong with him trying out his dad's chair. When I cookout for my whole family, I am always the one to make my plate last. It drives my family crazy, but that is what I'm known for. I make sure to enjoy the moment of watching my family smile looking for to my barbq! Lol Much love to all of you and may God bless you.

ALL disabled Americans should get a high powered disability chair but the poorest citizens are the most vulnerable so they should get one first! That is the morally and ethical thing to do!!! This is an upper middle class neighborhood so remember how privileged you are!
