“The Country Is In A Mess!” Macron Sees Off Far-Right Threat But Dilutes His Power

  • The French left said it wanted to run the government but conceded on that talks would be tough and take time, after Sunday's election thwarted the far right's quest for power but delivered a hung parliament.
Many of France's allies breathed a sigh of relief after Marine Le Pen's National Rally (RN) failed to win the snap election called by President Emmanuel Macron.
But with the leftist New Popular Front (NFP) alliance, hastily assembled before the election, unexpectedly coming first but far from an absolute majority, the election heralded a period of volatility and possible gridlock.
Talk’s Kevin O’Sullivan discusses the results with author at The Spectator Gavin Mortimer.

It has been narrated by 'Umar b. al-Khattib that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say:
I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslim.
    And Quran 6:6
"Have they not seen how many ˹disbelieving˺ peoples We destroyed before them? We had made them more established in the land than you. We sent down abundant rain for them and made rivers flow at their feet. Then We destroyed them for their sins and replaced them with other peoples."

That is the good question everybody here in France is asking themselves. I believe he completely miscalculated the situation and thought he would win if he ganged up with the lefties. He just did not know how much people hated him. Even his own party asked him to keep a low profile and let his baby PM Attal do the election rallying. Has not helped much either. My guess is he being a psychopath will just ignore the outcome, but Melenchon will give him hell, and France is entering total chaos.
