    Since my "internet router and modem" are separate, should I plug the Meraki into my internet router and turn off my internet routers DHCP and use the Meraki DHCP?

    • @Behfor
      @Behfor  Před 17 hodinami

      From what I understand, you have an internet modem/router followed by your Meraki MX device. If that’s the case, you should set the modem/router to bridge mode. This will automatically disable the router and DHCP features on the internet device, making it a modem only. This is important because having two routers on the same network can cause a double NAT issue. Thanks.

    very nice explanation. I bought two MX68CW-WW and want to be as redundant as possible, we have one Internet connected line and one LTE connection. I wonder if I have to put one connection to one MX and the LTE to the second MX, and how to cable these two appliances. can you explain this configuration in an video? 😀 this would be very nice. Thank you!

    Hi, Nice Video.
    I have a question not on the device but what exactly is there in the Meraki Cloud and how does the cloud part works when it receives a request to lets say to register a AP.
    Second, If you we talk for wireless for a moment, who monitors the RF parameters and adjusts that? is that centrally managed or individually per AP based?
    sorry, I am a little confused and would be great if you have help me to clear this doubt.

    Hi there, why we must use cisco meraki when we can use pfsense for more security and the secend things is licence is expensive for home user and small business ?? What do you think. Thnx

    • @Behfor
      @Behfor  Před 4 lety +2

      Meraki is expensive, and it's not meant for home networks. But on the other hand it's super easy to work with, you don't need to be a skilled network engineer to configure it and they have one of the best support teams that are available 24/7

    Hi Behfor, thank you for nice video. Is it possible to purchase 2 Meraki MX 67 with 1 license key?

    • @Behfor
      @Behfor  Před 3 lety

      Hi there, as far as I know, each device needs to have it's own license to work, if you have only 1 license for MX67 then only one MX67 can use it, thanks.

    Does anyone know if Meraki works in China or if you need specific Chinese models to work in China?
    Can you still manage from dashboard.meraki.com? Or do you need to go to a separate dashboard for China?
    My experience with internet in China aside from the obvious great firewall is the sporadic connectivity to the internet outside of China.
    Some sites just refuse to load at all or will disconnect half way through a session like webbanking or government sites where you have to F5 refresh several times and when it finally loads, you have to login from scratch and fill out the forms again. It is super frustrating when you're trying to do something where you have to fill out forms on multiple pages... like some sort of an application (job, credit card, registration for class, etc.) I'm wondering if meraki dashboard still manages to work fine to remotely control equipment located in China , from outside of China?
